Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1475: Chapter 808: Lu Yuyan’s Surprise

The three of them entered the private room. Meng Youyou said, “I’ve already informed them. You two can go to the room upstairs, and I’ll keep watch outside for you.”

Liang Yuan couldn’t help but feel amused by this.

“What’s all this talk about keeping watch? You make it sound like we’re doing something shady.”

Lu Yuyan’s cheeks flushed red, her beautiful eyes cast downward, not daring to look at Liang Yuan.

Meng Youyou chuckled, “Oh no, my clumsy tongue has spoken out of turn. Forgive me, Mr. Liang, for my blunder.”

Liang Yuan smiled, ceased teasing her, and turned to enter the private room with Lu Yuyan.

Soon after, someone brought tea and snacks.

Lu Yuyan held a cup of milk tea, sipping it with her head lowered.

Her heart was racing like a fawn, unsure of what to say, not even daring to glance at Liang Yuan.

She could feel Liang Yuan’s gaze on her.

Liang Yuan looked at the pretty girl in front of him. The girl who used to like wearing twin ponytails now had her hair in a high ponytail. Her demeanor had also shifted from that of a little girl to somewhat of a pure young lady.

If he could once see her as a child, now he could clearly sense the burgeoning charm of womanhood.

She used to love wearing sailor suits and lolita dresses, but now she wore the formal attire of a schoolteacher.

A black blazer paired with a white shirt underneath, black trousers, and black leather shoes.

On anyone else, this outfit might appear serious, but on her, it carried a touch of playfulness amidst the seriousness.

Liang Yuan chuckled, “Do you like your current job?”

Hearing this, Lu Yuyan looked up at him, shyly saying, “Yes, the kids are very cute. I love playing with them.”

Liang Yuan smiled, “That’s because you have a kind and pure heart. The adult world inevitably has its filth.”

“I remember you used to like wearing twin ponytails and sailor suits. How do you find the new attire and hairstyle?”

Lu Yuyan hesitated for a moment and said, “That’s what I don’t like. I think the school’s atmosphere is too stern and traditional. The kids always act so solemn at school; they even seem scared of us.”

Liang Yuan laughed, “Teachers can certainly befriend students, but there must be boundaries. You can’t lose your authority as a teacher in their eyes.”

“As it is said, a strict teacher produces outstanding students. If you get too close to the students and they don’t take you seriously, how can you teach?”

Lu Yuyan nodded, “The principal said the same thing. I’m just not used to putting on a stern face.”

Liang Yuan laughed, “Do you want me to have a word with your principal?”

Lu Yuyan was startled and quickly shook her hand, “No, please, don’t.”

Her cheeks turned slightly red. “Brother Liang, I don’t want the principal to misunderstand.”

Liang Yuan chuckled and said, “Alright, I won’t talk to her.”

He took a sip of tea. He didn’t have milk tea, just a regular herbal tea.

He wasn’t sure what flowers were in it, but it had a refreshing aroma.

Lu Yuyan didn’t know what to say, remaining silent for a moment.

After a while, she summoned her courage, looked up at Liang Yuan, and spoke up, “Brother Liang, I heard you have been up in the sky lately? What’s up there?”

Liang Yuan, contemplating how to tell Lu Yuyan about Lu Dayou, was brought back by her sudden question.

He smiled, “There are some floating islands up there. We have taken over those islands.”

“We are planning to develop them in the future and arrange for people to live up there.”

Lu Yuyan’s eyes lit up slightly, and she couldn’t help but ask, “How can there be islands in the sky?”

She’s not part of the Yangshan management, so she doesn’t know many things.

News about the floating islands had spread among the higher-ups, but ordinary shelter residents were unaware.

No matter the time, that’s always how the world is.

The first to get the news are often the higher-ups.

This was the case even before the apocalypse, whether it was about upcoming demolitions, new housing policies, or new subway lines being built.

Even before this news was released, the higher-ups already knew and some had already started investing for their families.

Ordinary people often realize things later.

It’s just inevitable.

Liang Yuan began talking to her about some things on the floating islands.

The atmosphere between them gradually warmed up, no longer as awkward as when they first met.

Finally, Liang Yuan found an opportunity to say, “Yu Yan, I have some good news for you this time.”

Curious and somewhat puzzled, Lu Yuyan looked up.

She didn’t have any friends up in the sky, so how could there be news related to her?

Not wanting to keep her in suspense, Liang Yuan said directly, “I met your father on the floating island.”

“Ah!”

Lu Yuyan stood up abruptly, her face filled with disbelief.

“W-what?”

Liang Yuan, noticing she had spilled her milk tea, hurriedly said, “Don’t get too excited. I’m telling the truth. I met your father on the Divine Tree Island. He’s safe and sound, and he’s even awakened his superpower.”

Lu Yuyan’s eyes turned red immediately, tears streaming down as she covered her mouth, “Ugh… Brother Liang, is what you’re saying true?”

In her excitement, she even resorted to signing.

Liang Yuan hurriedly handed her a tissue and said, “It’s true, he specially asked me to tell you this upon my return. Of course, if you’re willing, I can take you to Divine Tree Island this time so you can reunite with your father.”

Lu Yuyan burst into tears of joy and asked eagerly, “Wonderful, wonderful, my father is still alive. Brother Liang, can I go right now?”

Liang Yuan thought for a moment and said, “You can, but… there’s one more thing I need to tell you.”

Lu Yuyan said excitedly, “Go on.”

“Your father is on Divine Tree Island, and he’s with another woman.”

“Ah? Together? What do you mean by together?” Lu Yuyan asked, puzzled.

“They have become lovers.”

Lu Yuyan realized, smiled, and said, “That’s great. Someone to look after my dad, I’m really happy, what’s wrong with that?”

Liang Yuan saw she had no objections and breathed a sigh of relief, laughing, “As long as you don’t mind.”

Lu Yuyan shook her head and said, “Is that why my father didn’t come back to see me with you?”

“Not entirely. Your father has set up a shelter on the Floating Island, and before I returned, he needed to ensure the shelter’s inhabitants were settled.”

Lu Yuyan wiped her tears and said, “All these years, my father’s been tirelessly running around because of me. If it weren’t for me, he wouldn’t have struggled to find a partner for so long.”

“Actually, it’s me who has dragged him down.”

“Now he’s found a lady willing to spend her life with him, I couldn’t be happier.”

Lu Yuyan laughed, her eyes full of blessings, without any hint of sadness.

Liang Yuan observed her attitude and couldn’t help but marvel once more, she truly is incredibly kind-hearted.

“Alright then, you pack up, and after I finish the conference in a couple of days, I’ll take you to Divine Tree Island, we’ll go there together, how’s that?”

Lu Yuyan really wanted to go now, but after considering, she had some performances to complete with Meng Youyou in the coming days.

These performances were scheduled long ago, and she definitely couldn’t break the contract.

She nodded and said, “Alright, Brother Liang, I’ll follow your lead.”

Liang Yuan nodded with a smile. They chatted for a while longer, and then Liang Yuan checked the time—it was already quite late.

“That’s it for today, I’ll head back first. Wait for my message.”

“Ah? Okay, alright.”

The two stood up, and Liang Yuan took another look at her simple teacher attire, frowning slightly.

After thinking it over, he reminded her, “If the outfit doesn’t fit well, go tell your principal, okay? This way can be harmful to your body.”

Lu Yuyan’s face quickly flushed red, fumbling for words.

Previously, on the ship, when she practiced the Yangshan Gene Activation Technique with Liang Yuan, she had been using cloth to bind her generous bosom.

Liang Yuan had advised her against this back then, saying it could affect her development.

But upon returning to Yangshan, she still found it hard to accept her bountiful chest and secretly went back to using cloth strips to bind them.

Seeing her today in her plain teacher’s uniform, Liang Yuan immediately understood why.

The girl grew up without a mother, and Lu Dayou was clueless about female wisdom, naturally never teaching her.

This led to Lu Yuyan feeling somewhat insecure about her body and unable to handle it well.

Liang Yuan felt it necessary to gently advise her.

Of course, some things are best left unsaid beyond a point, to avoid overstepping.

The two walked out the door only to find Meng Youyou eavesdropping at the entrance.

The door suddenly opened, startling her.

She quickly straightened up, pretending to laugh, “Haha, it’s getting a bit warm, huh? Hey, are you guys done chatting? Mr. Liang, do you want to come over to where we’re staying and hang out?”

“I’m sharing accommodations with Yu Yan.”

Liang Yuan replied with resignation, “No, I have things to handle, I’ll head back.”

He said this as he bid farewell to Lu Yuyan once more.

After Liang Yuan left, Meng Youyou quickly ran to Lu Yuyan’s side to inquire.

“How did it go? Did you tell him?”

Lu Yuyan blushed, “Tell him what?”

“Your confession! You silly girl, you’re driving me nuts!”

“What are you talking about, I… confess what? Brother Liang has a family, and even kids,” Lu Yuyan hurriedly replied.

Meng Youyou said, “Don’t play dumb, I know what you’ve been daydreaming about in your room every day. I’m telling you, chances to be alone with him are rare, you’ll regret it later.”

She was frustrated, stamping her feet.

Lu Yuyan, her face reddening, changed the topic, “Hey, Brother Liang just told me some good news.”

Meng Youyou snorted, “What, he confessed to you?”

“Oh, come on, what’s with you, always talking about that? Brother Liang said my dad is alive, on the Floating Island.”

“What! Uncle’s still alive?”

Meng Youyou was instantly shocked and happy upon hearing this, eagerly asked for details.

Lu Yuyan shared her joy with her, and Meng Youyou cheered happily for her.
