Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 837: Chapter 308: Yangshan Conference (Part 2)

Most of these initiatives were organized and innovated by the members themselves.

This shows that everyone truly wants to manage this shelter well and genuinely treats it as their own effort, sincerely investing in its operation.

Liang Yuan beamed with a smile as he looked at everyone and listened to report after report.

He felt genuinely happy and joyful from the bottom of his heart.

This time, it wasn’t because he was about to earn more points, but truly because he had personally established a shelter that helped so many homeless people find a safe place to stay, bringing him joy and happiness.

He didn’t know how others felt, but for Liang Yuan, helping others genuinely brought an internal sense of happiness.

Many people’s happiness is built on the suffering of others.

But when you help the weak, it can also generate feelings of joy.

Of course, this is true for those with a sense of morality.

For those well-educated, sometimes doing something against their conscience can leave them feeling guilty for a long time.

However, doing a good deed can genuinely make them feel physically and mentally content.

Liang Yuan felt he was relatively moral, a young man with fairly good values.

He truly gained happiness from this process.

Once everyone finished their reports, Liang Yuan was the first to start clapping.

”Clap... clap... clap...”

As Liang Yuan clapped, everyone else also beamed with smiles and joined in enthusiastically clapping.

There was a light of hope in everyone’s eyes, as if they could see the possibility of surviving.

Yangshan was their home, a home they built with their efforts, piece by piece.

At that moment, everyone in this meeting on the ship undoubtedly felt a strong sense of belonging to the Yangshan Shelter.

Even Tu Long, in the meeting room, felt a sense of excitement and thrill.

Everything here, every grass, brick, and tile, was built by their own hands.

Li Xiangyang, along with Zhang Rongrong, was also attending the meeting as representatives from Meishan Village.

At this moment, their eyes were also red, with tears rolling down.

Just a few days ago, they were still struggling to find enough to eat, suffering under the abuse of village chief Li Kuirong, not daring to leave Jieshi Academy.

Now, not only could they eat their fill and wear new clothes, but they could also shop at the mall and enjoy entertainment.

In just a few days, their lives had undergone earth-shaking changes.

The entire Yangshan and Meishan had rapidly developed in the past few days.

With tears in their eyes, they felt a sense of pride and honor in joining the Yangshan Shelter.

After everyone’s emotions calmed down, Liang Yuan smiled and said, ”Thank you, everyone, for your hard work over these months. In just over two months, our Yangshan Shelter has grown to this point, and it can’t be separated from the hard work of everyone here.”

”Of course, hard work should be rewarded. As the leader of the shelter, I can’t just watch everyone work hard without any reward.”

”Sister Mei, add 1,000 Points to the membership cards of everyone present this month.”

At this, everyone in the meeting room cheered.

”Long live Mr. Liang!”

”Haha, thank you, Mr. Liang!”

”Thank you, Mr. Liang!”

...

Amidst the cheers, Liang Yuan also joined with a laugh.

Once everyone’s excitement subsided, Liang Yuan laughed and said, ”Having spoken about our achievements over the past few months, let’s discuss the next phase of Yangshan’s development.”

”Our biggest issue in Yangshan right now is a lack of people!”

”It’s not just a shortage of superpower users; more importantly, we’re short on labor.”

”The plantation needs a lot of hands to farm, and the construction team needs a lot of people to build houses.”

”The mining area also requires a considerable number of people to mine.”

”Our shelter simply has too few people!”

Everyone nodded in agreement with Liang Yuan’s words.

They each managed their own sets of responsibilities, naturally understanding the shortage of manpower.

Liang Yuan said, ”The Firebird has been serviced and renovated. Next, we need to find a way to go out and rescue the trapped disaster victims in buildings.”

Granny Li was the first to raise her hand in agreement, saying, ”I agree. We were once trapped in buildings, so we know how hard those days are. Now that we have the capability, we should rescue as many people as possible within our power.”

Zhao Kai also chimed in, ”Granny Li is right. We’re already short on people, so rescuing people would also strengthen our shelter.”

”Population is fundamental. Without people, no matter how we develop, we can’t grow strong. I agree too.”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Liang Yuan laughed heartily and joked, ”Captain Shi, you’ll have more work on your hands, as the construction team will need to build more houses to accommodate more people.”

”Mr. Liang, rest assured, leave it to our construction team.”

Shi Haizhu and the others immediately thumped their chests and promised to build more houses as soon as possible.

He not only leads the patrol team now but also has leadership duties with the construction team, supported by Yuan Rui, Gao Li, and others.

Liang Yuan nodded with a smile and then said, ”There’s another matter that requires everyone’s input. This cargo ship is our first ship in Yangshan, of great significance. We’ve been discussing the issue of the ship’s flag.”

”I’ve collected some samples here, and everyone can help choose.”

Liang Yuan looked toward Zhu Yuchuan.

Zhu Yuchuan quickly stood up, took out a stack of over a dozen A4 papers, and pasted them on the wooden wall.

Zhu Yuchuan said excitedly, ”These are the flags we’ve designed during this time. Everyone can take a look and choose the best one to represent our Yangshan Shelter’s flag in the future.”
