Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 827: Chapter 305: Drawing Goblin Fruit

Liang Yuan asked Ding Yan to look around in the shelter, and they only found a few old folks who used to fish and row wooden and iron boats when they were young.

Thinking of this, Liang Yuan returned to the floating bridge, boarded the ship, and immediately saw Zhu Yuchuan leaning on a cane, arranging people to work.

Upon seeing Liang Yuan, Zhu Yuchuan quickly said, ”Mr. Liang, good morning.”

Liang Yuan smiled and nodded, asking, ”How is the ship doing?”

Zhu Yuchuan quickly replied, ”We’re currently doing rust removal work. I noticed that most of the rusted areas have developed in the past six months, so this ship was probably maintained before the great flood, but it’s a bit old.”

”However, there’s a very important issue we need to report to you.”

Liang Yuan asked, ”What issue?”

”We don’t have anti-corrosion paint,” replied Zhu Yuchuan, worriedly.

Liang Yuan raised an eyebrow, asking, ”What kind of anti-corrosion paint?”

”When I used to work on ships, the hull would be regularly maintained with resin paint for anti-corrosion, but resin paint isn’t cheap, and it’s not readily available. Back then, most were bought online or maintained at a fixed shipyard.”

”Now with the great flood, it’s hard to find such things.”

Liang Yuan slightly frowned at the problem of anti-corrosion paint but then eased his brows.

While others may find it difficult to find anti-corrosion paint, for himself, the problem isn’t too big.

He had a system, so he could directly draw winnings for it.

”I’ll think of a way regarding the anti-corrosion paint, any other issues?”

”Uh, Mr. Liang, it’s not just about the anti-corrosion paint. Even if we find it, it’s hard to use right now. With the continuous rain, even if we apply the paint, without time for it to dry and solidify, it’d be easily washed away by the rain.”

Zhu Yuchuan felt a bit helpless, seemingly at a loss with a headache.

Liang Yuan thought for a moment and said, ”I’ll think of a way about this, now tell me about the cargo ship modifications.”

Zhu Yuchuan nodded and said, ”As per your instructions, we’ve completely dismantled the original water prison and sealed the lower hull, building blockhouses on this basis.”

”According to the length of the ship’s cabin, the blockhouse can be built twenty meters long. We also chose lightweight and strong Fire Bamboo as the material as much as possible.”

”We’ve also correspondingly heightened the sides of the cargo ship and left some windows for battle use.”

Zhu Yuchuan introduced the general modification plans for the ship.

Liang Yuan’s requirement was to modify this cargo ship as much as possible toward an armed ship.

So the necessary defensive measures should be in place.

It also needed a certain offensive capability.

Looking at the already changed Firebird, Liang Yuan nodded slightly, quite satisfied.

”Good, continue with the modifications, let me know what’s needed.”

”I’ll think of a way to get the paint in the next few days.”

Zhu Yuchuan immediately said, ”Rest assured, Mr. Liang, I will certainly make this ship the most suitable for Yangshan.”

Liang Yuan smiled, encouraged him with a few more words, and then turned around to leave the cargo ship.

After going through this round of inspections, it was almost noon.

Liang Yuan returned home, seeing Yang Mei already up and busy with lunch in the kitchen.

Seeing Liang Yuan, she beamed and said, ”You’re back? Are you hungry? It’s lunchtime soon.”

Liang Yuan smiled and asked, ”Not hungry yet, did you have breakfast?”

”No, I woke up at eleven, so I went straight to making lunch. I need to go to the shopping center this afternoon to stock up since so many people from Kangjia Garden have come. Although their service period hasn’t ended, people have started coming to the mall after work to buy things.”

”I estimate there’s going to be a large consumption of goods at the mall soon, I need to do the accounting.”

Liang Yuan kissed her and said, ”You’re working so hard, you should train others. You handle the big decisions, let others handle the smaller tasks.”

Yang Mei said helplessly, ”I only have Yu Yan with me for now, and you know her situation. Many times, communicating with her is a bit difficult.”

Unlike Dong Yan, who has the Spiritual Link Superpower, Yang Mei couldn’t understand the expressions of a deaf-mute person.

Over time, she and Lu Yuyan have somewhat adjusted to each other, communicating on simple matters.

But when it comes to more professional topics, it becomes challenging.

That’s when Dong Yan needs to be by her side.

Liang Yuan was stunned as the image of the anime-like girl Lu Yuyan flashed through his mind, and he also thought of her father, Lu Dayou.

Liang Yuan sighed inwardly, recalling the scene of Lu Dayou kneeling and begging him vividly.

He had promised to help take care of his daughter as much as he could.

Although Lu Yuyan was now working with Yang Mei, it only solved the problem of her survival.

Her special situation doomed her to not be able to integrate into the mainstream, unable to communicate with others.

Liang Yuan suddenly remembered the Mutated Fruit Lantern Persimmon he had.

If Lu Yuyan took this fruit, she might awaken a superpower, which would likely help her.

But if he did this, then Old Ma’s situation...

Liang Yuan frowned slightly, feeling hesitant.

Yang Mei gently smoothed his brows and said, ”Alright, alright, I’m happy to have something to do instead of being home alone, it’s too boring otherwise, don’t worry about me.”

”Stop frowning, go rest in the living room. I’ll call you when lunch is ready.”

She pushed Liang Yuan out and went back to busy herself in the kitchen.
