Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique

Chapter 14: Chapter 14 Incomplete Fiery Sun Sword Skill

The Scripture Storage Pavilion was a crucial location in the academy, and Zhang Qichu led Lin Feng there.

“I can’t enter the Scripture Storage Pavilion now; only you can go in. I’ll wait for you outside,” Zhang Qichu said.

“Okay,” Lin Feng nodded.

He entered the Scripture Storage Pavilion.

“Someone’s here, someone’s here!”

As soon as Lin Feng stepped inside, he heard a sharp voice.

Following the sound, Lin Feng was stunned. It was a gigantic bird, standing three meters tall, and it could talk!

“A monster!” Lin Feng exclaimed.

It was rumored that some monsters, after cultivating Divine Skills, could speak human language.

Undoubtedly, creatures of this level were quite formidable.

“Where’s the monster? Don’t eat me, don’t eat me!”

The giant bird was so scared that it crouched on the ground, covering its eyes with its wings and pleading loudly.

Seeing the bird’s reaction, Lin Feng’s mouth twitched violently.

This didn’t seem like a monster at all. No monster could be this pitiful.

“I was calling you the monster,” Lin Feng said to the giant bird.

“You’re the monster, your whole family are monsters! I’m a suave parrot!”

The giant bird squawked and flapped its wings.

Lin Feng scratched his chin and muttered, “Is there such a big parrot?”

“Kid, are you doubting your Uncle Parrot’s words?” the parrot glared at Lin Feng with wide eyes.

“Darn bird, get out and guard the door!”

At that moment, a large shoe came flying and smacked the bird’s head.

“So stinky, so stinky!” the bird complained loudly.

“If you disturb my sleep again, I’ll roast you,” a chubby man walked out.

“Don’t eat me, don’t eat me, my meat is smelly, my meat is smelly!” the bird shouted as it ran out.

“Disciple Lin Feng, here to choose a Cultivation Technique,” Lin Feng said.

The chubby old man’s eyes lit up. “You’re the youngster who performed excellently during the Inner Academy exam. Not bad, not bad. You look much better than I imagined. Changhe Branch did very well this year by recruiting a genius like you. When the Four Academies Competition comes, we must rely on students like you to win some honor back for the Changhe Branch. Come with me.”

The chubby old man led the way ahead.

“May I ask how to address you, senior?” Lin Feng inquired.

“You may call me Elder Tianxuan,” the chubby old man replied.

“Senior, what was that giant bird just now? How can it speak human language? It claimed to be a parrot; are there such big parrots in the world?”

Regarding the bird, Elder Tianxuan had a resigned expression. “This is a Spiritual Bird I encountered by chance in the Wilderness Jungle ten years ago. It was only the size of a palm and could speak human language. I thought it was a spiritual demon beast, so I brought it back to the academy. But who would have known that, aside from being able to talk, this darn bird is good-for-nothing, only lazy and gluttonous.”

“Ah, Dead Fatty, don’t speak ill of me!” the bird complained from outside.

“You have no respect. I’ll stew you tonight,” Elder Tianxuan shouted.

“I was wrong, don’t stew me,” the bird began begging for mercy again.

Lin Feng followed Elder Tianxuan toward the pavilion.

Inside the Scripture Storage Pavilion, Martial Skills were divided into Yellow Rank and Dark Stage. The first floor housed Yellow Rank Martial Skills, totaling over a thousand volumes. The Yellow Rank was further divided into four grades: initial, middle, high, and pinnacle.

Generally, new Inner Academy students could only acquire Yellow Rank Martial Skills, unless they made significant contributions to the academy, garnering the reward of a Dark Stage Martial Skill.

With Lin Feng’s exceptional talent, the Changhe Branch obviously intended to focus on nurturing him. This was exemplified when Gongyang Ming gave Lin Feng ten Great Strength Dragon Suppressing Pills, and then allowed him to choose a Dark Stage Martial Skill for cultivation.

“All the Dark Stage Martial Skills are in here,” Elder Tianxuan said as he led Lin Feng to the second floor.

On the bookshelves, there were several scrolls displayed.

Lin Feng approached the scrolls and opened the first one.

“Autumn Rain Sword Skill: The chill of autumn, incessant evening rain; the sword produces condensing frost, with Sword Intent like autumn rain.”

This Autumn Rain Sword Skill was created by a woman and carried the melancholy of autumn.

Lin Feng put down the Autumn Rain Sword Skill and picked up the second scroll.

“Wild Sword Slash: Gather all True Qi, condensing violent Sword Qi. Once unleashed, the Sword Qi engulfs like the heavens, causing destruction to the enemy.”

“Draw Sword Skill: Focus on speed, as fast as lightning. The enemy only sees the sword’s flash before their head hits the ground.”

“Spring Silk Sword Skill…” Lin Feng reviewed these scrolls one by one; all were Yellow Rank initial sword skills. Each skill held immense power and had its own uniqueness.

Lin Feng picked up the last scroll and opened it.

“Great Sun Long River Sword Skill: Dark Stage Middle. Once mastered, the Sword Qi is like a long river, crossing the Void.”

This Great Sun Long River Sword Skill was the academy’s treasure; it possessed extraordinary power.

“Which one should I choose?” Lin Feng slightly frowned.

Suddenly, he glanced towards a corner.

In that corner, there was also a scroll, seemingly untouched for a long time, with a layer of dust on it.

“Huh,” Lin Feng uttered, puzzled, and opened the scroll.

“Fiery Sun Sword Skill: Legendary Earth Rank swordsmanship. Mastered, sun rising; one slash as if the sun descends upon the world, possessing the might to destroy the earth and heavens.”

“Earth Rank!” Lin Feng exclaimed. This level of swordsmanship was absolutely legendary.

Elder Tianxuan squinted his eyes and said, “This Fiery Sun Sword Skill was once reputed as the top sword skill of True Martial Country, but it is incomplete. Anyone who cultivates the Fiery Sun Sword Skill ends up dying due to uncontrolled Fiery Sun Sword Qi. I advise you to put this scroll down and choose another one.”

“Incomplete swordsmanship,” Lin Feng felt a bit of a pity.

He was about to put down the scroll when, suddenly, the mysterious pearl in his Dantian emitted a faint wave.

Lin Feng was startled. The mysterious Demon Pearl in his Dantian had an ominous origin but was closely tied to his transformation. Now that it was reacting, could it be because of this Fiery Sun Sword Skill?

His heart stirred, and he said, “Elder, this disciple has decided to choose this Fiery Sun Sword Skill.”

“Hmph, young people always act on impulse, hitting a wall won’t stop them,” Elder Tianxuan snorted with slight annoyance but then said, “Alright, if you want to cultivate it, go try. If you find the Sword Qi inside uncontrollable, immediately stop cultivating it. Then you can return, and I’ll give you another sword technique to practice.”

Lin Feng was moved. Elder Tianxuan essentially offered him a second chance to choose a sword technique, which defied the academy’s rules. It showed Elder Tianxuan’s deep concern.

“Thank you, Elder. I will remember,” Lin Feng said gratefully.

Lin Feng and Elder Tianxuan headed outside.

The giant bird shrieked, “Out! Out! It’s so hot outside, so hot!”

“Shut your beak, darn bird,” Elder Tianxuan glared viciously at the giant bird.

“I’ll shut it, I’ll shut it,” the bird replied with a fawning look at Elder Tianxuan.

“Disciple takes his leave,” Lin Feng said, bidding farewell to Elder Tianxuan before heading out.

“Junior Brother, which sword technique did you choose? Is it Draw Sword Skill? Or the Nine Immortals Flying Sword Technique? Or maybe Wild Sword Slash? These sword techniques each have their own traits and are massively powerful, suitable for us to cultivate,” Zhang Qichu asked with a smile.

“This one,” Lin Feng handed the scroll to Zhang Qichu.

Zhang Qichu glanced at it and exclaimed, “Fiery Sun Sword Skill! It’s said to be an Earth Rank sword skill, immensely powerful, but couldn’t be successfully cultivated. Why did you choose this, Junior Brother? Shall we plead and choose another?”

Lin Feng smiled. “Senior Brother, don’t worry. I’m only studying it. If I notice anything wrong, I will immediately stop cultivating. Elder Tianxuan also said that I could switch to another sword technique if this one fails.”

“If you can switch to another, that’s fine,” Zhang Qichu nodded, returning the sword technique to Lin Feng.

Upon returning, Lin Feng went back to his room and opened the Fiery Sun Sword Skill.

“This sword technique is missing a part, clearly incomplete, truly an impossible-to-master sword technique. But the mysterious Demon Pearl reacted because of it. I wonder why?” Lin Feng pondered to himself.

Buzz.

At this moment, the Demon Pearl in Lin Feng’s Dantian slightly trembled.

Then, a demonic light shot out, illuminating the Fiery Sun Sword Skill scroll.

Whoosh…

A series of characters floated in midair; the golden letters exactly matched those on the Fiery Sun Sword Skill scroll. To Lin Feng’s shock, the suspended sword technique automatically filled in the missing content.

Lin Feng exclaimed, “The mysterious Demon Pearl actually completed the missing parts of the Fiery Sun Sword Skill—how incredible!”

Lin Feng dared not delay. He quickly memorized the Fiery Sun Sword Skill’s techniques, committing all the contents to memory.
