Chapter 1385: Official Engagement of Aquaris Naiadae: Part-2

The General stepped forward, his voice rising through the enchanted amplifiers that hung above the stadium.

”People of the Aquaris Naiadae Empire... rise.”

A wave of movement swept across the capital as every citizen stood. Light shimmered across the massive crystal screens, focusing on the entrance archway. The entire city seemed to hold its breath as the glow intensified, casting ripples of blue light across the sky.

”First... behold the daughter of the rising ocean... the jewel of the royal line... the heart of the empire... Princess Aqualina Naiadia.”

The door opened... but with a burst of living water shaped into a towering arc of blue light.

And through it, she stepped.

Aqualina emerged dressed in a gown woven from the breath of the ocean itself. Deep blue silk shimmered with violet veins, glowing softly with each stride. The scale-patterned corset hugged her form like armour, while translucent wave-cut layers trailed behind her, flowing as if the sea followed her command. Her movements carried the solemn elegance of a ruler and the quiet warmth of someone raised by the tides themselves.

Her purple hair fell in soft, controlled waves, threaded with faint water crystals that caught the light. The crescent-shaped tiara of silver coral rested above her eyes, giving her the presence of a queen chosen by tides. Each step she took stirred the air, leaving faint traces of cool mist drifting behind her.

The crowd went still for a second before...

”OOHHHHHHH!!!!”

A roar so loud it shook the capital.

Children waved glowing ether-sticks shaped after Aether. Adults bowed their heads, hands over their hearts.

Aqualina lifted her hand with a soft, gentle wave, her smile so calm and warm that more than a few hearts in the crowd trembled.

Many men’s heart broken at the moment knowing this woman going to become someone’s else!

”The woman whose courage stands equal to any blade, whose spirit guided us through storms and shielded us from calamity... Princess Aqualina Naiadia, please accept our humble presence.”

The General bowed slightly before he gestured toward the ceremonial seat prepared for her, then turned to the people and announced,

”Behold the Will of the Ancient Tide... the woman who held the realm together through ruin and rebirth... the sovereign whose will bends the tides themselves... Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Marisandra Naiadia.”

The door did not open with gentle water.

They split... violently.

Two walls of dark ocean parted like a blade slicing through them, releasing a surge of violet mist that rolled across the ground. The mist carried the scent of deep trenches, sharp and chilling, as if the abyss itself had risen to attend the ceremony.

And from the storm’s heart, Marisandra emerged. Her steps were slow, deliberate, and heavy with authority. Her presence alone bent the air, commanding silence without needing to ask for it.

Her gown was forged in nightmare-purple, each thread shimmering like the polished scales of a deep-sea leviathan. Each movement made the fabric breathe like something alive, reflecting the abyssal glow of the ocean floor. It tightened around her upper body like ocean armour, a high, crescent-shaped neckline giving her a silhouette as sharp as a blade. The fin-like arcs at her shoulders rose upward, marking her presence like a warning.

The slit along her leg revealed smooth, powerful skin as she walked, each step echoing with the weight of a ruler feared and obeyed in equal measure. Her heels struck the ground with a cold, commanding rhythm... a sound that carried across the stadium like thunder restrained.

Her crown glowed with a deep, regal purple that pulsed like the heartbeat of the empire itself.

Her cold eyes swept across the arena.

The crowd exploded instantly, ”UOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!”

The capital shook... the banners trembled.

People screamed her name, some cried, and others fell to their knees in awe. Children hid behind their parents, unsure whether to cheer or fear.

Men and women trembled, unable to look at her beauty that was so dangerous!!

Guards slammed their boots to the ground in salute.

Her gaze remained cold.

Until it reached Aqualina.

For one heartbeat, her eyes gentled. Then her expression shifted back into the lethal grace of a ruler.

”The iron heart that shielded our empire... the ruler who stood unbroken through war, famine, flames and flood. Guardian of our peace... Her Imperial Majesty, please accept our humble presence.”

The General bowed deeply before he gestured toward the ceremonial seat prepared for her, then turned to the people and announced,

”And now...”

The General pauses as the entire capital holds its breath... they knew who was the last one.

The drum rolled fast, the sound racing through the arena like a storm warning.

”People of the Empire... remember this for eternity:

The man who turned our despair into hope... the man who stood when the world burned... the hero who rose when everything else fell... the protector who held back the dark... the one touched by the Goddess’s light.

Let your voices shake the heavens... for the man who carried our hopes through ruin.

AETHER NAIADAE! THE ONE AND ONLY EMPEROR OF AQUARIS NAIADAE!!”

The crowd was shocked when they heard his official name?

Thud!

The Door slowly and gently opened as blinding white, golden, blue-purple light shimmered furiously from the door before,

And through that storm of holy brilliance... a silhouette walked.

Aether.

His black hair caught the glow, shining with a silken sheen. His ice-blue eyes radiated a gentle purity that made countless hearts tighten. His white ceremonial coat flowed like living light behind him, lined with serene gradients of ice-blue and faint royal purple. Every thread shimmered subtly, as if woven from frozen dawn and an emblem of their empire.

Every step released a faint trail of falling particles. The shimmering dust drifted like fragments of starlight, dissolving the moment they touched the ground.

The people didn’t scream immediately.

They whispered.

”He’s... beautiful...”

”He looks like a blessing...”

”A holy one...”

Aether halted his steps as he looked at the people before bowing his head towards them. Everyone raised their eyebrows in mild shock. The entire stadium sucked in a breath as if the act itself carried weight equal to a divine gesture.

.... Notification kept coming on his log as if everyone was falling in love with him already!

Women’s eyes were particularly sparkling when seeing him! Their pupils dilated, breath hitching as the glow around him intensified like a soft halo.

”AAAAAAAAAAAETHER!!”

Women pressed their hands to their hearts. Some nearly swooned, clutching their partners or the railings around them.

Even Sandra blinked, stunned... Even Aqualina’s breath caught in her throat. Their expressions tightened with disbelief as they realised they had never seen him appear so divine.

They didn’t expect his clothes to be so fucking awesome... the kind of attire that looked like a tailor from heaven punched reality into shape.

Celestia, standing near the preparation room’s archway, watched with a wicked smirk tugging at her lips. She licked a faint streak of white cream from the corner of her mouth... the aftermath of her ”loneliness” whatever treat she had stolen earlier... She looked far too pleased with herself.

The General steadied his voice, though even he sounded shaken as the amplifiers magnified his words across the capital.

”The one who halted madness... the one who protected the people with warmth... the one who stood for our empire, and felt the pain and suffering of all... the one who walks among us... His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Aether Naiadae.”

The General bowed his head deeply.

Aether lifted his gaze with a calm and pure smile. The kind of smile that glowed with quiet sincerity, carrying the warmth of a sunrise after a storm.

And that smile alone made the crowd scream loud enough to shake the air itself.

He approached Aqualina and Sandra, his eyes lit with affection and a quiet strength that matched her fierce ocean fire in perfect balance.

Aether was utterly taken aback by their beauty... oh gods, look at them!!

He was utterly lost in his stare... just blankly staring at them like they were goddess that descended to marry him. The world around him faded into soft light, leaving only their faces, their glow, their radiance.

Both Sandra and Aqualina blushed at his sudden stare. They knew it worked on him, but... it was way too much; he bluntly stared at them with millions of people watching them closely. Their cheeks warmed, their hearts stuttered, their composure cracked under his direct, innocent awe.

They literally took his breath away.

Seeing their New emperor’s stunned expression, the people couldn’t help but gossip... and giggled at his reaction.

”Looks like even the Pure Emperor was not immune to the woman”

”Haha... indeed.”

The People gossiped with an amused tone. Their joy, relief, and playfulness filled the air like festival lanterns.

Sandra snapped her fingers, unable to hide her blush anymore, as Aether snapped out of his thoughts and said with the most gentle and loving tone,

”Yes... I will marry you”

”....”

The Entire Capital turned silent when they heard it.

Aether coughed with a slight blush before... he lost in that moment, before awkwardly and embarrassedly walking to the ceremonial seat, covering his red face! His coat fluttered behind him as he practically fled, trying to hide the warmth blooming across his cheeks while the entire capital watched in stunned disbelief.
