Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1372: Phoenix Rut... It’s Mating Time!

After taking Thalia from the hot spring carefully, he gently laid her on the floor, his movements cautious, almost reverent.

First, he checked her pulse, pressing his fingers to the delicate skin of her neck. It was steady... calm.

And her breathing? He leaned close, feeling the warm flutter of her breath against his palm. The air gently flowed from her nose, faint and soft, misting the surface of his skin.

”She is fine? Then what happened?” he muttered, confusion flickering in his voice as he leaned over her.

He looked into her eyes, searching for any hint of mischief or play-acting—Thalia’s favourite trick. He parted her eyelids, peering at the whites of her eyes. They were rolled back, glassy and distant... as if she had truly lost consciousness in the midst of their bath.

”Hmm.” Aether frowned as he patted her cheeks a few times, trying to stir her awake.

”Thalia. Come on, quit messing around.”

But she wasn’t responding.

Aether’s frown deepened. He almost considered lifting her in his arms and carrying her straight to Emberlyn, someone who might know what the hell had happened to Thalia so suddenly.

But just to be sure,

”If you keep playing dead, I swear, I’m going to look at your pussy~” he said, his voice dropping to a wicked, teasing growl. 4

Even though he knew Thalia, this outrageous, shameless woman never cared if he saw her naked, if he touched or tasted every inch of her. She might even enjoy being caught like this.

Still, she would react, right? Even Thalia would twitch, blush, throw him a glare, or at least let out a tiny moan at his threat.

But... no.

She wasn’t even moving an inch!

Aether let out a long, frustrated sigh. He decided to lift her up and take her back, when suddenly, just as he slid his hands under her thighs, he heard...

Sssshhhh!

A faint, almost animal sound, hissing and sharp. Aether frowned as he tried to pinpoint the source of the noise.

His gaze slid over her body... then froze!

The sound came from between her thighs... her pussy?

Aether blinked, shaking his head as if to clear it. ’What the hell?’ he thought.

He moved closer, gently spreading her legs just enough to see... and there it was: a thin wisp of steam curling from the slit of her core, rising up!

”...Did hot water actually get inside her... pussy? Is that even possible?” He wondered aloud, voice tinged with disbelief and a strange, wild amusement.

Maybe he was overthinking.

After all, it was just another hole, right? The hot water might have slipped in, and now it was leaking out, right?

But as he looked closer, squinting, he realised it wasn’t water at all.

That was steam... Pure, shimmering, curling steam drifting from her entrance... heat, not moisture.

”What the fuck is going on?” he breathed, ”Is she... burning up from the inside?” His mind raced through possibilities.

[Holy shit! I guess that Mark is really the one!]

”Hmm?” Aether’s eyes widened in disbelief as his Log responded without warning.

[How in the world are you getting this much luck, you damn bastard? 😱]

Aether blinked, ”Why? What do you mean?” he whispered.

[She awakened her Primordial Phoenix Bloodline!!]

Aether stared, struggling to process. ”What are you talking about? She already awakened it a long time ago!”

[...]

”What?”

[Sigh. What should I even do with you? Yes, she awakened it before—but that was just her normal Phoenix bloodline.

Her lineage, diluted over generations, is nothing close to pure. Even after awakening, it was never truly whole—not like the ancient bloodlines of legend, not the ones who burned the world anew.

But now... this is different.

The ancestor of her bloodline—the Progenitor, the First Phoenix herself—has actually acknowledged Thalia’s blood.

That mark you saw, it’s not a mere birthright. It’s an acceptance. It’s proof that the true Phoenix flame has awakened within her.]

”.... I still not following you? Progenitor? How?”Aether’s brow furrowed.

[How do I know?!]

The Log’s voice snapped in his mind.

”...Bitch, you are the one who is telling me all this!” Aether shouted back. He felt offended—how could it dump these absurd things on him and act clueless?

[Anyway, I presume, now I understand what happened to her... she must have entered that state.]

”...”

Aether’s confused expression deepened, his eyes darting between Thalia’s motionless form.

How the hell could his Log know so much... just from staring at Thalia’s pussy?

Was it really just spouting all this nonsense to mess with him?

[Sigh, since Phoenixes were not here so you might not know what happened to her exactly. Heck, she herself might not even understand what happened to her... actually, the reason she was out and her genital—”]

”Pussy.” Aether cut in, a mischievous gleam in his eyes.

[.. Genita—]

”It’s Pussy! Say it!” Aether pressed, his lips curling into a wicked smirk.

[...]

”...”

Aether waited, tapping his finger on Thalia’s thigh for dramatic effect, refusing to let the moment pass.

[Her... P-Pussy!]

Aether nodded with satisfaction, lifting his hand in a small, silent victory!

[Arrh! Anyway, hers was leaking with hot fumes... she was entering Phoenix Rut, the mating-heat of the Primordial line.]

”Mating?”

Aether’s voice cracked with disbelief as his eyes flicked from Thalia’s pert, hard nipple—standing erect even in the chill—to the steaming, trembling folds between her thighs.

He gulped, his own body reacting, his throat suddenly dry. ”Don’t tell me...” His fists clenched, his entire posture trembling,

”I-In order to wake her from the deep slumber, I-I need to... I need to fuck her?”

He barely choked out the words.

Was he really supposed to do this wicked, impossible thing to Thalia, this wild, innocent, infuriating girl sprawled unconscious before him?

”Like a Prince waking Sleeping Princess from the story? But not just end with a kiss? How could you ask me to do it? So wronggg~”

[...Can you wipe that disgusting smirk?]

Aether coughed, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. ”Ahem. Anyway, so you’re saying she somehow entered into the mating state because of her bloodline, right?”

[Indeed.]

”So I need to fuck her to wake her up, right?” Aether asked again, his tone a strange blend of hope and curiosity.

[...No!]

”Uh?”

[Phoenix Flames choose their mate... but once chosen... they burn anyone else.]

”...Come again?” Aether blinked, his brows pinched together.

[You missed the chance to mate with her. Now if you try to touch her... Your disgusting, ugly, big, useless, tasty, hard meat would be burned alive until it disappears!]

Was that.... a compliment?

Aether’s face turned stone-cold. His cock, which had been rigid with forbidden anticipation, now shrivelled into numb submission, as if it itself had heard the threat.

C-Cock burned alive?

Until it disappears?

What the fuck!!!

He glanced down again, unable to resist, his gaze caught by Thalia’s still-steaming pussy—pink and glistening, soft folds parting just enough for wisps of hot vapour to escape in slow, sinuous curls.

He gulped, ”Maybe I should—”

[Try to lick? Your tongue would disappear instantly! And... No, her back door too is on fire. Please don’t think about anything else. It’s utterly disgusting!!]

Aether gulped again, biting his lower lip and retreating, suddenly self-conscious. He shifted, face turning a little red with shame. It’s not like he was plotting every obscene possibility or anything... Well, maybe he was, but—

Believe him!

Please!!

”How am I supposed to wake her up?!”

That was his only goal here!

Believe him!!

[...She will be fine. Since you weren’t there, she comforted herself, which might have made her knock herself out, unable to quench the love and heat. The body turned off! So give her time—she will wake up soon.]

Aether smiled, the corners of his mouth softening, and nodded with gentle understanding. He gazed at Thalia’s sleeping face, brushing a stray wet strand of hair from her cheek with the back of his hand.

”She looks more beautiful when sleeping,” he whispered, almost reverent.

[But man... You missed the fucking chance... You must be one of the unlucky ones!]

”What do you mean?”

[Phoenix Rut... is very rare in the Phoenix bloodline, like once every thousand years or something. And when it does appear, the Phoenix would go days on without rest, losing all their senses except for the drive to mate. It’s almost like a Succubus on the loose!!]

Aether stared, eyes wide, throat tight. ”That much effect? Damn!” He clenched his fists harder, the ache of missed opportunity burning through his soul.

Fuck!

He really missed his chance!

”Fuck you, Rosavere!”

Aether shouted, fist raised skyward as if cursing fate itself, blaming that single message—one moment’s distraction for a loss that might haunt him forever.

And, in a moment of bitter honesty, he jabbed a trembling finger at his own chest, ”Fuck yourself, Aether.”

Now he had to wait for fucking another 1000 years!

Aether let out a long, soul-crushed sigh, ’Well, that’s it then—’

[What’s more, during the Phoenix Rut, during their only First time, their partners are actually able to get... mm... mm... Phoenix’s ability.]

Aether blinked, ”You mean?”

[Things like Fire Immunity, mastery over flames, the Phoenix Mark, Phoenix Aura, even the Phoenix Rut itself, and... Flame-Fertility—the power to control your own fertility at will!]

Those words... especially the last one, echoed in his mind like a fire he could never shut down.

Ability to control one’s Fertility?

Wasn’t that the very thing he’d wanted for all this time?

Did he really fuck up that badly?

Had he just thrown away his only chance at freedom from ’Covered deep feeling?’

Just then,

”Arrh!” Thalia finally woke up, her body jolting, lashes fluttering open as she blinked into the hazy air. Her brow furrowed, confusion and a faint scowl twisting her beautiful features.

Aether slowly turned to her. For a second, he considered all the things he could say.... Instead, a smile pure, bright, utterly innocent spread across his lips.

That’s definitely not innocent!
