[BL] After SSS-rank mage reborn as the Legendary Craftsman

After seeing Ular, Hanna, and Lee Jae Ji off, Kei stood in front of the cafe door watching the backs of the three disappear down the street, along with an E-rank spatial ring they had left behind with a pile of items stuffed inside.

Even though Kei had tried to refuse these gifts, Ular wouldn’t let him return them, firmly giving the items to him.

Kei let out a soft sigh.

Potions can heal wounds, restore energy, and even resist some adverse effects. But those things are like using a piece of cloth to cover a crack in a wall.

It can’t solve the root of the problem.

”Is there something troubling Kei-nim?”

A gentle voice sounded beside him.

Kang Narim was still standing there. She tilted her head to look at him, her light blonde hair swaying gently in the wind.

Kei nodded.

”I want to help the hunters in Dong-San city. But the more I learn, the more I realize that making Potions can only temporarily ease the situation.”

Even so, Kei still felt that the time he spent making Potions was not wasted, at least it was quite enjoyable, and it eased the current situation somewhat.

He looked at the hunters hurriedly passing by on the street.

”Dungeons are appearing more and more. The monsters inside possess all kinds of control effects. If we rely only on Potions, sooner or later supply won’t keep up with demand.”

Kei alone couldn’t possibly make Potions for all the hunters in the city, he would die of exhaustion.

Kang Narim silently pondered.

The two began strolling along the road. As they walked, Kei recounted his concerns, from how Healers can restore energy for their teammates to how most low-tier Healers don’t have purification skills.

”Kei-nim once said that purification skills can remove poison, curses, and adverse control effects, right?”

”That’s right.”

Purification skills still exist in this world, it’s just that only a few high-tier Healer hunters possess it.

”If that’s the case...” Kang Narim said slowly. ”Is there a way for other hunters to use that skill as well?”

Kei stopped walking.

Kang Narim looked at him, continuing to explain:

”Hunters’ skills are upgraded when they rank up. That’s why low-tier hunters usually have very limited skills. If we can’t let them learn purification skills on their own, then could we imbue that skill into an item?”

Kei’s eyes wavered slightly.

An item!

A familiar thought immediately surfaced in his mind.

In his old world, magic wasn’t only used directly by mages.

Mages could enchant magic onto equipment, turning that equipment into a magic tool, though it would take more time to craft than other types of equipment, and the mage would be weakened for a period after crafting the magic tool, their maximum mana would decrease.

But this limitation had absolutely no effect on a legendary mage like Kei, because in theory, Kei’s mana was close to infinite.

Magic that has been enchanted doesn’t require the user to continuously channel mana. As long as a manastone is provided as an energy source, the magic tool can automatically activate the magic, and ordinary people without mana can also use magic tools.

When the mana inside the manastone is depleted, the stone will shatter. As long as it’s replaced with a new manastone, the magic tool can continue to operate.

Then... How about crafting a piece of equipment enchanted with purification magic?

Kei’s eyes lit up.

”It can be done.”

His voice became certain.

Kang Narim blinked as she looked at Kei, who was so happy he looked like he could fly to the sky, the corners of her lips curving up.

”Really?”

”Yes. I just need to find a way to enchant the purification skill onto a suitable item, then use a manastone to supply energy for this skill to operate on that item.”

Kei grew more and more excited as he spoke.

”If it succeeds, any hunter can use that item with the purification skill. There’s no need to have the purification skill, nor wait for a high-tier Healer to appear in the party.”

This wasn’t just an ordinary new product, it would change the way hunters fight. If the tool of purification magic could be mass-produced, hunters would have an extremely effective piece of equipment when fighting in Dungeons!

Kang Narim looked at the smile on Kei’s face, and the corners of her lips curved gently as well.

It seemed he had found a solution.

”Kei-nim is really amazing.”

”No, this time I have to thank you.” Kei turned to look at her. ”If it weren’t for your question, I might still not have thought of this method.”

”I was just curious.”

Kang Narim smiled softly. As she walked, she hummed a small tune in her throat, looking happy like someone who had just helped a friend resolve a troubling matter.

Kei did not continue the conversation. He turned and ran straight toward the shop.

”I have to start researching right away! Thank you, Narim-nim!”

Kang Narim stopped and watched his retreating figure.

Kei opened the door and rushed into the shop’s storage room, quickly grabbing paper, pen, manastones, and the remaining crafting materials in stock. In just a moment, the sound of rummaging rang out continuously from inside the shop.

Kang Narim happily turned to leave.

But just as she took a few steps, her gaze met a pair of platinum-colored pupils.

The black-haired man stood across the street, his face gloomy as if covered by a layer of cold frost.

Kang Ian silently watched her, cold and wary to the point that the air around him seemed to freeze.

Kang Narim stopped. The smile on her lips remained intact, but her pale golden eyes narrowed slightly.

The two looked at each other across the crowded street.

No one spoke.

Inside the shop, Kei was still happily searching for ingredients, completely unaware of what was happening right outside the shop.
