The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 693: Chapter 692: Framing

Pu Yangji’s eyes sharpened, and he whispered: ”You cover the rear!”

He personally took Xia Wenjin on his shoulder.

The person rushing forward was sturdy, as swift as a whirlwind, with a steady gait, evidently not lacking in skill. This was Gu Heng, who sensed something was wrong from the front yard and came over to check the situation.

However, as fast as he rushed forward, the blockade was even faster.

Pu Yangji was even more unwilling to engage in a prolonged fight and left directly.

Gu Heng was extremely anxious. He was well aware; Master Ling sent him here not just as a driver but also with the responsibility to protect the Pavilion Master.

Right under his nose, the Pavilion Master was abducted, and his eyes turned red with fury.

Upon engaging, the few people blocking him were also quite startled. It was clearly understood that there were no martial experts left in the Xia Mansion. They had scouted thoroughly before choosing this night to act. How did such a martial expert suddenly appear?

The three of them had also made it to the First-class Initial Tier and, despite being three against one, were at a disadvantage. What kind of monster is this?

In fact, not only they but even Xia Wenjin was unaware of Gu Heng’s skills. But no matter how fiercely Gu Heng charged, even though he had the upper hand, he couldn’t immediately shake off the entanglement of these three.

Yet, Pu Yangji had no hesitation in his escape, disappearing in just a few sequences of moments.

Gu Heng’s eyes widened with fury, launching a ferocious attack that forced the three into continuous retreat. He didn’t take advantage of the situation to pursue further. Instead, he turned to chase Pu Yangji, but those three immediately followed, desperately trying to stop him.

As they obstructed him, one of them said, ”Our Princely Heir only invited your lady to come over as a guest. Why are you chasing so closely?”

Gu Heng angrily replied, ”Who is your Princely Heir?”

The person said, ”Our Princely Heir and your lady are in love. Why do you need to ask who our Princely Heir is?”

”Nonsense!” Gu Heng gritted his teeth, ”If they are in love, why is there a need for abduction? Such sneaky behavior, your master must be no good either, how dare you?”

The three were enraged and immediately fought with all their strength, trying to cut Gu Heng down.

Gu Heng’s moves were firm, his iron fists whooshing in the wind. But with his heart worried for Xia Wenjin, he wasn’t inclined to engage in a prolonged battle, and these three were seamlessly coordinated. Gu Heng dashed left and right, but couldn’t break through.

Pu Yangji sneered, realizing the Xia Mansion truly shouldn’t be underestimated, with experts leading away wave after wave. This matter needs to be reported to Second Young Master.

However, even if one managed to slip through the net, what difference would it make? Second Young Master had calculated everything to perfection.

Should someone get past the first wave of three blocking them, there’s still a second wave. As for him, he’s just responsible for taking Xia Wenjin away.

Already out of the Xia Mansion, crossing the street ahead, and turning right into a shadowy alley, even if someone were to pursue, it would make no difference.

Just when Pu Yangji let his guard down, preparing to jump down the roof ridge, suddenly a fierce gust of wind rushed towards his legs.

The wind was fierce, carrying an amazing murderous aura — it was a sword, shimmering with killing intent.

Pu Yangji, being skilled and battle-hardened with vast experience, turned pale at the sound. However, he was mid-air, descending with his previous momentum, unable to regain force.

The sword’s murderous aura and powerful energy made him feel an unprecedented crisis.

There was still someone on his shoulder.

Although she was just a young girl.

He inwardly lamented; if it was anyone else, he could easily snatch, hug, drag, or pull even if they were missing limbs. But not this one.

This was someone the master wanted.

The master’s woman could only be cherished; he dared not keep her far, nor close. During the abduction, he even carried her on his shoulder.

Now, his entire body was suspended in mid-air, with someone on his shoulder, and the sword energy was aimed at his legs. If it cut through, he would be left with knees but no feet from then on.

Pu Yangji hurriedly spun in mid-air, balancing the downward momentum, then swiftly drew his sword. With a slash to the right front, the sword energy initially in front of him due to his rotation changed direction to the right front.

His reaction was truly swift, as fluid as flowing water. With this maneuver, he blocked half of the sword energy. Combined with this quick adaptive movement technique, the sword energy was largely deflected. However, he still felt a chill on his leg, instinctively lowering his head to look.

In the moonlight, the hem of his robe was reduced to butterfly-like fragments, and there were no trousers below the knee.

His bare legs faced the night breeze.

A trace of horror flickered in Pu Yangji’s eyes.

Though the sword strike aimed for a kill, the timing, speed, and ferocity of the stroke were truly terrifying.

A voice, low and cold-sharp, said, ”Put the person down, and you’ll live.”

Pu Yangji was startled, thinking: could the driver have caught up this fast?

No, this person in front isn’t the driver.

He stood there like a sword, with handsome features and sharp eyes, yet young. Clad in a pale moon-white brocade robe, he seemed to carry the moonlight within the night, with a faint luminous glow surrounding him. His eyes held murderous intent, and the sword in his hand gently trembled, resembling a swimming dragon.

This was a soft sword.

And Pu Yangji recognized the person facing him.

He gasped, surprised to encounter this person, even more so at the skills he exhibited.

”Prince Cheng’s Heir!” The name slipped out as he opened his mouth, but he immediately realized he was masked and should not reveal his identity.

Yet he quickly recalled that he had always been one of Huangfu Yuxuan’s shadow men, not in the open. Even unmasked, Prince Cheng’s Heir could not recognize him.

With this thought, his heart calmed considerably.

Yet he was on the roof, forced into this position, with someone still on his shoulder. The three who came with him did not have his qinggong skills, lagging behind.

Huangfu Jingchen felt he had been too busy dealing with Prince Zhuang, neglecting Xia Wenjin. Yesterday, when he visited, Xia Wenjin was not present, and he had a minor quarrel with Gu Hongxin. Today, the moment his business was done, he came over immediately.

Before, he hadn’t known Xia Wanqing had left the Capital City. When Xia Wanqing was home, if he sent a post, he would be directly ignored or kicked out.

Xia Wanqing may treat him with disdain and fierce dislike, yet he couldn’t turn against Xia Wanqing.

He had considered visiting Xia Wenjin at night, but he knew Xia Wanqing’s skills were too advanced. If he came at night, he would certainly be detected by Xia Wanqing, making the Xia Mansion a truly helpless place.

Respecting Xia Wenjin, he also refrained from having anyone watch over Xia Mansion and the Xia family father-daughter, thus remaining unaware of Xia Wanqing’s departure from the capital for several days.

Now, knowing Xia Wanqing wasn’t in the Capital City, he didn’t care if he had to become a wall-hanger and just wanted to see Wenjin.

Who could have expected, before even arriving there, he heard the sound of weapons clashing from afar.
