Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2680: Chapter 2689: Can You Give Me This Cup?

But if it’s not for business, Olivia Lewis really doesn’t know what role she should place herself in.

Just a simple friend?

August Oliver and she probably don’t count as just simple friends.

After all, they almost dated before.

A prospective partner?

She already has a boyfriend, and her sense of ethics doesn’t allow her to be ambiguous with another man. Besides, she doesn’t want to hurt August Oliver.

Now, she treats him more like a brother.

The more special August treats her, the more uneasy her conscience feels.

Even though August hasn’t spent much time with her, he’s liked her for a long time. How could he not know what she’s thinking in her silence?

He tightly clenched the honey water in his hand and, for some reason, suddenly wanted to smoke again. Looking around at his surroundings, he realized he was at Olivia Lewis’s home, and she was standing right in front of him. He forcibly suppressed his desire to smoke. His thin lips pressed into a straight line, and he said seriously, ”This news can be big or small. It’s best to do public relations as soon as possible. The sooner it’s handled, the better. I just took over Celestial Entertainment, and you’re an artist under Celestial. If we delay, I fear some people might intentionally let this incident escalate to target me.”

He was referring to Oscar.

With Oscar out of prison, it was almost obvious targeting him.

If not for Wesley stepping in to help, he might have been directly kicked out of the group’s board of directors.

He rushed over as soon as he got the message because he was worried Olivia Lewis would be targeted because of him. He also knew Olivia still felt uneasy facing him, and might choose not to let the company’s PR department intervene because of this uneasiness.

Olivia probably heard from Enna Clark about the complex situation within Oscar Group and somewhat understood the complicated circumstances he was in. She bit her lower lip, was silent for a moment, and then decided, ”My manager also mentioned this to me. I’ll have her contact the company’s PR department.”

She didn’t want Adam Sinclair to handle it, nor did she want August Oliver to solve it for her this time. She hoped for more time to see if she could handle it herself.

But August pointed out something that struck her heart.

If someone wants to use her to attack August, then it’s not just her problem anymore. She can’t be so selfish to only care about her feelings, delaying time and letting August take the fall for her. Last time, August almost got blacklisted because of her, she can’t let the same thing happen again. Otherwise, she’d really have no face to face this man who was like a brother to her.

As for the contract termination...

Olivia felt a heavy heart.

Just like Sunny said earlier, if she wants Celestial Corporation to help her with this, she can’t immediately propose contract termination.

It seems the termination has to be put off for now.

”No need, I’ll call the PR department.” August stopped her, took out his phone, walked to the window, and made a call, roughly arranging things.

Soon, he came back, stood in front of her, ”It’s done. The PR people will immediately arrange a meeting to come up with emergency countermeasures. We’ll discuss in a meeting how to minimize the impact.”

Olivia didn’t know what to say, ”Thank you.”

”It’s nothing, I’m doing it for business too.” August said, gave her a deep look, and before she could speak, he said, ”I’ll be going now, you should rest early. Can I have this cup?”
