Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2651: Chapter 2660: The Place We Must Go Today

Enna Clark knew he wanted to ask about Old Master Lawrence’s real health condition, so she nodded, ”Okay, go ahead, I’ll stay here with Grandpa.”

Baron Lawrence turned and left, closing the door behind him.

As soon as he left, Old Master Lawrence pulled out the infusion needle from the back of his hand and said to Enna Clark, ”Enna, come with me to a place.”

”Grandpa, you haven’t finished your infusion yet...” Enna just started to stop him.

Old Master Lawrence had already picked up the coat placed beside him, threw the blanket over himself, and was about to get out of bed, ”I know my body well, don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”

Enna Clark knew his personality was very stubborn, ”But... Grandpa, how about you rest today, and when you feel better, I’ll accompany you? Okay?”

Her tone was almost like when she was coaxing Gigi.

Old Master Lawrence, who had never been coaxed like a child in all his life, was momentarily taken aback, and surprisingly, he wasn’t angry, rather amused. He shook his head and still forced himself out of bed, ”This place must be visited today, it will be meaningless if we miss it.”

”...” What kind of place must be visited today, it’s not a holiday or anything special today.

Old Master Lawrence looked energetic, and after pulling out the infusion tube, he looked even less like a sick person. He insisted as he looked at Enna, ”Come on, accompany me.”

Enna hesitated for a moment, gritted her teeth, and agreed, ”I’ll go with Grandpa, but if you feel uncomfortable at any point, you must tell me immediately, don’t push yourself.”

”Okay.” Old Master Lawrence squinted his eyes, adding, ”Don’t tell Baron where I am, it’s a secret.”

Enna, ”...”

Old Master Lawrence insisted on going somewhere, and if she didn’t tell Baron where he was and he found out he was gone when he returned, he would definitely be worried.

Old Master Lawrence, having been around for so long, immediately saw what she was worried about the moment she hesitated. He calmly said, ”Don’t worry, I’ll arrange for someone to stay behind and tell him I’ve taken you somewhere else, I just don’t want you to tell him where we went.”

The place he wanted to go was the biggest secret of his life, and he didn’t want to tell anyone.

As for Enna... he couldn’t quite say why, but every time he saw her, she would remind him of someone in his memory unconsciously.

The older he got, the more he recalled that person...

Old Master Lawrence gathered his scattered thoughts and said indifferently, ”Let’s go.”

Enna still didn’t feel assured about him. Although she hesitated, compared to letting him go to that secret place alone, she felt more at ease going with him. Seeing that Old Master Lawrence was about to leave, she quickly stepped over, helped the vigorous old man’s hand, and walked out of the ward with him...

...

Ten minutes later, a low-key luxurious Lincoln stopped in front of an inconspicuous flower shop on the street corner.

Old Master Lawrence pursed his lips and glanced at Enna, instructing, ”Buy me a bouquet of white roses.”

”Uh, okay.”

Enna got out of the car, walked up to the flower shop, and carefully picked a bouquet of full-bloom white roses, then said to the boss, ”Please wrap this for me, boss.”

The boss, who was watering the flowers, turned around, smiled, and took the bouquet from her hand, saying, ”Sure thing.”

As he skillfully wrapped the flowers, he made a puzzled sound, ”White roses?”

”What’s wrong, boss?” Enna didn’t understand why he had a strange expression upon seeing the white roses.
