Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2439: Chapter 2448: The Daily Life of Baron Lawrence and Bobby

Inside the WE Hotel.

Baron Lawrence pulled along the silent young boy beside him, striding rapidly into the magnificent lobby, tossing a black card to the receptionist and saying, ”I’m booking a room.”

The receptionist recognized him, paused for a moment, and immediately responded, ”Alright, please wait a moment.”

Within a few minutes, she efficiently booked the room and had a staff member escort Baron Lawrence upstairs.

Although he hadn’t explicitly requested a specific type of room earlier, the receptionist recognized him and certainly wouldn’t have given him an ordinary room. So following Baron Lawrence’s usual preference, she booked a Presidential Suite for him.

The hotel staff quickly led them to the top-floor Presidential Suite, swiping a card to help them open the door.

”President Lawrence, we’re here.”

”Hmm.”

Baron Lawrence pulled the person in through the door and casually shut it.

He then released his grip and, contrary to what Scott Harris had thought, did not scold Bobby for running off this afternoon without informing him.

Instead, he didn’t say a word, heading straight to the living room of the suite.

After rummaging through the place, he found a square box and placed it on the table.

He opened the box, skillfully took out the contents, and laid them out. Sitting on the sofa, he called out to the young boy still standing in the entrance hall, ”Come over here.”

Bobby didn’t move, his pretty, pale face still showing lingering fear.

Having taken out everything he needed, Baron Lawrence waited a while without seeing him move, raised his head, and cast him a glance. His deep black eyes were unfathomable, and he said in a calm tone, ”I’ll count to three. If you don’t come over, I’ll tell Enna Clark about what happened to you tonight.”

It was a blatant threat!

The young boy standing in the entrance hall finally showed some reaction, looking over at him—

With an air of indifference, Baron Lawrence didn’t care whether he came or not and began counting, ”One, two...”

Before he counted to three, Bobby was already standing in front of him.

He tossed a small stool over and said to Bobby, ”Sit down.”

”...”

Noticing Bobby wasn’t moving, he threatened coldly, ”Enna Clark...”

Sure enough, the young boy who hadn’t moved soon sat down with a tight face.

After Bobby sat down, Baron Lawrence bent down roughly, rolling up the pant leg on his left leg. His gaze swept over the scraped area on Bobby’s knee. His thin lips pressed into a line as he grabbed the disinfectant alcohol from the coffee table, dipped a cotton swab in it, and applied it to Bobby’s scraped skin...

His movements were far from gentle, hard and unfeeling just like his earlier threat, wholly devoid of warmth.

Yet the tense back of Bobby, who had been frightened, gradually relaxed. People only slowly relax their tense nerves when they feel completely safe.

The pair, both the large and the small, with one not gently tending to the wound, and the other not uttering a sound despite the sting of alcohol on their broken skin, shared a peculiar warmth together.

It was Bobby who couldn’t hold back in the end. As Baron Lawrence cleaned the sand off his knees, he pouted, his voice hoarse and stubborn, ”You didn’t tell my lady, did you?”

He hadn’t specified what wasn’t told to Enna Clark.

But Baron Lawrence understood, replying without looking up, ”Didn’t say a word.”

”That’s good then...” Bobby’s voice lowered and the tension in his eyes also relaxed.
