Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2407: Chapter 2416: Enna Clark, Are You Angry?

He only felt a bit annoyed seeing Skye Lawrence looking so haggard.

That’s all!

But he didn’t say the rest out loud.

His mood, which had slightly improved, dropped again when Enna Clark mentioned Skye Lawrence. After speaking, his sensual thin lips pressed into a straight line, not giving Enna Clark a chance to speak again, ”Enna Clark, we’re watching a movie, don’t chatter in the cinema. Don’t you know you need to stay quiet in the cinema?”

He was purely avoiding the issue.

People say to keep quiet in the cinema to avoid disturbing others during the movie.

Right now, the movie hasn’t even started, and they’re the only ones in the entire cinema, so there’s no question of disturbing anyone. How was she chattering?

Earlier, when he was in a good mood, wasn’t he talking non-stop?

I’ve never seen someone so overbearing, childish, and double standards like him!

But when Enna Clark saw his tense jawline, for some reason, she swallowed all the retorts she wanted to say.

Forget it.

Since he doesn’t want to admit it, she won’t say it.

She turned back quietly, also resting her head on the backrest, waiting for the movie to start.

It’s just the two of them in the cinema, and they aren’t talking. The vast cinema suddenly fell silent. The two staff members standing far away definitely wouldn’t speak, and the cinema was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop echo.

Enna Clark, bored, waited for a while and was about to take out her phone to play for a bit.

She had just turned sideways to reach for her bag when suddenly someone grabbed her wrist and turned her around.

”Why aren’t you talking? Are you mad?”

”...What?”

Enna Clark stared dumbfounded at his tense, handsome face, blinking her eyes.

Baron Lawrence’s handsome face darkened, his expression growing more somber, and his pitch-black eyes seemed like an impending storm, filled with restraint, ”I asked if you’re mad.”

”Why should I be mad?” Enna Clark asked, puzzled.

”Damn it!” His pitch-black eyes seemed as if they wanted to swallow her whole. He pursed his lips, turning his head away to say, ”Do you want me to say it out loud?”

”...” What is this about?

Baron Lawrence, words squeezed out word by word from his menacing gaze, ”Because I was harsh to you just now, okay?”

”...”

”I spoke a bit harshly earlier, and now you’re silent. Are you mad?” He was annoyed with her mentioning Skye Lawrence. Hearing Skye Lawrence’s name just made him agitated.

Skye Lawrence brought it upon herself.

She’s really pushed it too far these last few times.

He did indeed want to treat Skye Lawrence as a stranger, but since they grew up together since they were young, they couldn’t be ’strangers’ completely.

Especially since he knew that Skye Lawrence had just had a miscarriage. Seeing her looking so haggard, it’s inevitable he’d feel a bit different.

He thought he’d controlled it pretty well so that Skye Lawrence didn’t notice his strangeness. Unexpectedly, Enna Clark noticed.

She noticed, so what? She actually spoke it out loud.

That’s why he was aggravated and told her to stop talking.

But when this woman really stopped speaking, he became even more annoyed, as if something was missing. In her silence, his heart felt as if it was freezing over.

”I didn’t.” Enna Clark was baffled by this sudden blame, firmly refusing to accept it, ”Weren’t you the one who told me to stop talking?”
