Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2414: Chapter 2423: He’s Not That Kind of Person at All

The movie ended, and Enna Clark was still immersed in it, unable to extricate herself.

She bit the straw of her cola and couldn’t help saying, ”I think the male lead is too foolish, and the female lead too. I don’t know how to describe it.”

If it weren’t for the ending, she wouldn’t have known that the girl knew all along about the male lead’s feelings for her. When she lost her mother, she needed the male lead, so she deliberately seduced him, making his feelings for her deepen. After he fell completely in love, she quietly left, shattering his dreams. Even in the end, when she needed him and his money again, she didn’t hesitate to call him, exploiting his feelings to get his money.

Once she achieved her goal, she once again mercilessly wanted to kick him aside. So she used the cruelest words to reveal the love he kept hidden in his heart, then viciously humiliated him, so he wouldn’t disturb her life again.

Enna Clark couldn’t find words to describe such actions.

She could understand why the girl didn’t like the male lead.

After all, there was such a big age difference between them.

However, using someone’s affection to gratify oneself while not liking them is too selfish.

On the other hand, the male lead too. He clearly liked the girl, yet to get close to her, he married the girl’s mother.

This behavior, she didn’t know whether to call it madness or irrational.

In any case, this wasn’t a regular romance film, but it unexpectedly portrayed the irrationality of love in a particularly moving way.

Baron Lawrence glanced at her, staring at her fair face, and said, word by word, ”He’s not just foolish, but stupid! Cowardly! Incompetent! If it were me, I absolutely wouldn’t be as foolish or cowardly as him! If I were the male lead in the movie, and you were the girl, Enna Clark, I would never let you leave me, nor would I marry another woman.”

He paused, then continued in a serious tone, ”If it were me, and I found out I liked you after seeing you, I would plan a foolproof kidnapping. I’d kidnap you and take you to a foreign land where no one knows you. I wouldn’t teach you the local language or give you any money. You would have to rely on me, unable to ever leave me.”

”...”

”Of course, apart from not teaching you the local language and not giving you money, I would treat you well. As long as you don’t leave me, you can have anything you want. But if you want to marry another man and have his child, dream on!”

Or, unless he realized he never loved her at all. Otherwise, even if she married and got pregnant by another man, he’d still kidnap her and take her away.

If she got pregnant, at worst he’d take her to the hospital for an abortion first.

Luckily, Baron Lawrence only voiced the first part and didn’t articulate his later thoughts. Otherwise, Enna Clark would definitely want to flush him down the toilet.

Even though he only said the first part, his serious and obsessive tone still made Enna Clark’s heart palpitate, ”I realize now, the luckiest thing I’ve done is falling in love with you.”

If she hadn’t fallen for him back then, she might never have seen Bobby again, being locked up who knows where by him.

Of course, she felt that Baron Lawrence was merely speaking. In reality, he wasn’t as ruthless as he claimed.

If he were truly such a ruthless person, when she didn’t like him initially, she would have been locked up long ago.
