Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1982: Chapter 1992: Haven’t Had Dinner Yet

Bobby’s mouth was almost hanging off the soy sauce bottle, ”Look, from the time I called you until now, it’s been almost three hours before you came back. What have you been up to?”

Enna Clark changed her shoes as she replied, ”I finished work and went to see your Dad.”

Bobby glanced at Baron Lawrence again, clearly still not quite believing what she said. Pouting, he asked, ”Then, did he go shopping with Uncle Adam?”

Adam Sinclair is still lying in the hospital bed and can’t get up, how could he possibly go shopping with Baron Lawrence? This is clearly a question of suspicion.

Before Enna Clark could think of how to smooth things over, Baron Lawrence naturally spoke up, ”I went shopping with your Mummy. The smell of disinfectant at the hospital was too strong, and the clothes were uncomfortable, so I changed into a new set.”

He spoke with confidence, as if it was self-evident.

It was as if the logic between the two things was perfectly fine.

In reality, if this kind of logic was applied to anyone else, there would certainly be a problem. But when used on him, there was no problem at all—this is his way of acting.

Sure enough, as soon as he gave this explanation, Bobby, who was about to catch Enna Clark’s lie, became uncertain again, ”Did Enna Clark choose this outfit?”

The taste of the woman in his family has always been quite good, hasn’t it? How could she choose such a ’youthful’ outfit for someone like the Dubious Man?

He still felt it was odd, unlike the style his woman would choose.

”New style, you think it looks bad?” Baron Lawrence glanced at him.

Bobby almost rolled his eyes at him; does this outfit look good? His high emotional intelligence wouldn’t allow him to speak too bluntly, so he just held his breath and said, ”Well... it’s okay.”

Enna Clark watched the back-and-forth conversation between the big one and the little one, saw her genius son easily swayed by a few words from a certain person, and she didn’t know whether to be annoyed or amused.

Baron Lawrence had already changed into slippers and entered, calmly stepping into them as he asked Scott Harris, ”Have you had dinner?”

Scott Harris was right next to Bobby, but he always stuck to the corner, trying to minimize his presence. Now that Baron Lawrence asked him, he respectfully said, ”The Young Master refused to eat, insisting on waiting for Miss Clark to come back, so the Young Master hasn’t had dinner yet.”

Bobby hasn’t eaten, so of course neither has he.

Baron Lawrence understood and instructed, ”Go, prepare for tonight, we’ll have barbeque on the rooftop.”

”Yes.”

Baron Lawrence caught a glimpse of Bobby’s eyes lighting up at the mention of barbeque, and pondered for a moment before saying, ”Tell the cook to prepare more spicy beef made with Matsusaka beef. Also prepare some seafood, I want scallops. Make extra.”

Bobby has an obsession with beef; whenever he eats hot pot skewers, beef skewers are his favorite, he loves beef vermicelli, and even when eating Oriental food, he enjoys boiled beef.

Despite not paying attention deliberately, Baron Lawrence had unknowingly remembered this detail over their time together, so he instructed Scott Harris to prepare more beef.

As for scallops, it’s his own favorite.

Enna Clark isn’t picky; she likes both seafood and beef, so he made no special requests.

Scott Harris nodded with a smile, ”Yes, Lord. I’ll call and have it prepared right away.”

”Mhm,” he responded, acknowledging it, then walked straight to the sofa to sit and called Enna Clark, ”I want coffee.”

Bobby perked up on hearing that they’d have barbeque tonight, especially his favorite spicy beef made with the Matsusaka beef he’s been wanting to try but reluctant to buy himself; his resentment towards them for being late has lessened significantly.
