Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1800: Chapter 1790: Chaos Backstage

Annan was surrounded by a group as they walked inside, saying, ”Isn’t August still here? If we arrive late, let him go on stage first to buy some time. We agreed earlier that we’d pick up Sister Olivia. He stayed behind just in case.”

”Oh my goodness, this is a concert for thousands of people. You guys are acting so recklessly, my heart can’t take it. Next time, could you please let me know beforehand? At least give me some time to prepare and arrange emergency measures.” The coordinator, who seemed more like their manager, looked constipated and said with a distressed face.

After speaking, he hurriedly urged the others, ”Quick, quick, quick, makeup artist, stylist, quickly help them change outfits.”

He even found the time amidst the chaos to take special care of Olivia Lewis, ”Miss Lewis, I apologize. Time is tight, I’m really sorry for the trouble.”

As he spoke, he ordered people to escort Olivia Lewis backstage, ”The clothes Miss Lewis is wearing look nice, let’s not bother with the ones we prepared earlier. There’s no time to change. Quickly help Miss Lewis with her makeup.”

”No, I...”

The person who looked like the manager was so busy that he didn’t notice her anxiety and resistance, and went on to make other arrangements.

Olivia Lewis was pushed backstage by several assistants and makeup artists and sat down in front of the mirror.

The makeup artist also appeared anxious, didn’t waste words, picked up the foundation, and hurriedly said, ”Miss Lewis, let me start your makeup. Please close your eyes.”

”No, I don’t know anything. Why are you doing my makeup? You aren’t planning to put me on stage, are you?” At their concert, what would she do up there?

Silly smile at thousands of August Oliver’s fans!

”Miss Lewis loves to joke.” The makeup artist forced a laugh, skipped wasting time with her, and began drawing her eyebrows.

Olivia Lewis shook her head, avoiding her pen, and was just about to speak.

The makeup artist signaled to the assistants, who immediately stepped forward to half-help with massaging, half-hold Olivia Lewis down, persuading, ”Sister Olivia, please don’t move around, let us help you with a massage.”

The makeup artist wiped off the wrong places she had drawn, and also persuaded, ”Right, Miss Lewis. The time is tight, we request your cooperation with our work. If we don’t finish your makeup within the stipulated time, we’ll have to take the blame again.”

”But I...”

The makeup artist interrupted, ”Only the director and manager know the concert schedule, we don’t. Maybe after your makeup is done, you can ask the manager about it.”

Olivia Lewis has been in the entertainment industry for quite a while, so she knows that the hierarchy within the circle is very strict. For roles like makeup artists, if they make mistakes during major occasions, they’d not only be scolded, but might also suffer penalties. In the worst case, their reputation might stink, and no one in the circle would want to work with them.

Although she had a lot to say, she didn’t want to make things difficult for them. She held back and cooperated without moving so they could get to work.𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

”Quick, quick, quick! Outside has started the countdown!”

”Where’s the dance group? Are they all here? Hurry to the stage and get ready!”

”Where’s Annan and the others? Stylist, hurry up!”

The backstage was a mess, with the manager and concert director shouting all sorts of orders.

The vast backstage was filled with people coming and going, many so busy they practically needed to jog.

Olivia Lewis cooperated absent-mindedly with the makeup artist while her eyes wandered around, trying to find the person who brought her here.

But the backstage personnel was too chaotic.

Stage design, lighting, staff, dance group, accompaniment, backup singers... Hundreds of people were busy inside without a break.

In this situation, it was impossible to find anyone.
