Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1762: Chapter 1752: Ms. Clark Wants to Resign?!

Ding——

The elevator reached the 88th floor.

Enna Clark adjusted her mood, took a deep breath, patted her cheeks, and walked out.

The decor of the Lawrence Headquarters could be described as luxurious, and the President’s office on this floor was the epitome of opulence.

A high-ceilinged, palace-style crystal chandelier, polished marble floors that sparkled, every corner gleaming with a pristine shine, free from any speck of dust.

Enna Clark walked further inside, stepping on a branded carpet imported from Country F...

The Secretary Office was as busy as ever, with everyone wishing they had six hands. However, it seemed like a gloomy cloud was hanging in the air; everyone was busy, but few were talking. Heads were down, trying to minimize their presence, as if overwhelmed with work.

Enna Clark walked past the Secretary Office and finally found the person she was looking for today, ”Assistant Terrence.”

The slightly chubby man in a suit was originally frowning, rushing out. Upon seeing her, his eyes lit up instantly, like a woman seeing the Red Army, his eyes almost glowing.

His expression also, instantly broke into a bright smile, he almost grabbed her hand, ”Ms. Clark, you’re finally here. The President is still in a meeting, please return to your office first.”

Enna Clark had no idea what he was so excited about, but based on the gossip she heard in the elevator, she could roughly guess what he was thinking.

Baron Lawrence must have been throwing fits at the company these days.

Which led Assistant Terrence to think that her presence would stop Baron’s tantrums.

But that’s impossible, as she didn’t come today to see Baron Lawrence.

”What would you like to drink? I’ll have someone prepare it and bring it to your office immediately.” Assistant Terrence was especially enthusiastic today.

Enna Clark awkwardly avoided his hand and said to him, ”No need, I came today to see you.”

”To see me? What would Ms. Clark need from me? Just say the word, and I’ll get it done for you immediately.” He was stunned for a moment, then pledged his loyalty.𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

”I’m here to resign.” As soon as Enna Clark finished speaking, the expression on the man who had just been patting his chest in loyalty froze. She continued, ”The resignation procedure requires a supervisor’s stamp before handing it to Human Resources. I’ll go to the office to print out a report, fill it in, and then trouble Assistant Terrence to stamp it for me. I’ll handle it myself at Human Resources.”

Since they already broke up, it’s better to part amicably.

She’s done everything she needed to do.

Assistant Terrence recovered from his struck-by-lightning expression and tentatively asked her, ”Ms. Clark, why are you suddenly resigning? Is the workload too much? It’s okay, I can have someone share it with you, there’s no need to resign.”

Enna Clark admired his ability to say the opposite. Ever since she was transferred to the President’s office by Baron Lawrence, she seemed to have done nothing like actual secretarial work.

After just a few days, she was taken on vacation to Pacifica without even having the chance to request leave by a certain capricious person.

If her workload was considered too much by any standard, others wouldn’t have to work anymore.

In response to his hopeful gaze, Enna Clark shook her head and said, ”No, I have to return to Linton City. I can’t get away from Rhine, so I have to resign.”

Her reason took all the words he had to persuade her out of Assistant Terrence’s mouth.

He couldn’t possibly tell a distinguished representative like her to abandon her work, right?

When she says she’s busy with her company and not interested in playing secretary games for a relationship anymore, what else can he do but watch?

But if he really signed and stamped Ms. Clark’s resignation report, the President would definitely have him pack up and roll out in no time!
