Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1778: Chapter 1768: Loving Someone

W Airport.

When Lyle Westbrook walked towards her holding flowers, Enna Clark instinctively straightened her spine and wanted to step back.

But the airport staff, standing next to her, kept pushing her forward more excitedly than she was, ”Ms. Clark, Ms. Clark, Young Master Lyle is coming.”

Enna stumbled forward a step from the pushing, as if intentionally meeting him. By the time she steadied herself, Lyle Westbrook was already standing in front of her.

He was about as tall as Baron Lawrence, and against the light, he really looked like an angel. Especially those dazzling peach blossom eyes, sparkling and hard to ignore.

”Enna.” Lyle Westbrook’s voice was gentle, with a slight huskiness that betrayed his nervousness.

Enna Clark quickly calmed herself down, not giving him a chance to speak, pretending not to see the roses all over the ground and the flowers in his hand. She pulled on his arm hastily, trying to lead him away, ”Lyle Westbrook, finally found you. Are you done with work? If so, let’s go, I’ll take you to the hotel. By the way, have you booked the hotel yet?”

Her reaction was an unspoken rejection, a trace of bitterness flashed in Lyle’s eyes, and this time he did not let her drag him away.

Instead, he grabbed Enna Clark’s hand, pulling her to a standstill. His cold peach blossom eyes looked at her, forcibly stuffing the roses in his hand into her arms, ”Enna, listen to me first.”𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Enna couldn’t drag him away, instead, she was held by him. Although knowing what he was about to say, she couldn’t stop him in time.

”I liked a girl for three years. The reason I got to know her was that her darling son took a liking to me. At that time, I was just a surgeon with a deceased wife and a daughter, and she was just a single young woman with a five-year-old kid. Because of a small misunderstanding, I met her for the first time at the playground. She was tricked out by her darling son, and I was tricked out by my little niece. We were both very awkward at the time; I thought that after explaining, she would choose to leave. Surprisingly, she stayed and accompanied me with guilt to play at the amusement park for the whole afternoon.”

He was talking about the time they were set up by Bobby at the amusement park for a date.

”At that time, I thought that if I were to find a wife, it should be someone gentle and soft-hearted like her.”

”So, I started pursuing her. At first, I just thought she was very suitable to be a wife. Over time, as I got to know her, I truly fell for her personality. Some people are like mountains, while others are like flowing water. She is like the latter. A trickling stream, at first unremarkable, but later you can’t take your eyes off her. But I didn’t know she already had a boyfriend at that time. It was the first time in my life I failed to confess. Afterward, I left that city and went back home.”

”An elder whom I have known for many years wanted to introduce me to a matchmaking arrangement, saying that a long time ago, I had a verbal arranged engagement with their granddaughter. I wasn’t particularly interested at first, but out of genuine respect for that elder, I agreed to meet. After meeting, I discovered that the girl I had an arranged marriage with was the one I liked.”

”After that, we faced danger together. She saved me unhesitatingly from the car wreck, and it was then that I confirmed my feelings.”
