Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1470: Chapter 1470: She Is My Woman Chapter 1470: Chapter 1470: She Is My Woman Enna Clark was completely unaware of Skye Lawrence’s situation.

She arrived at the isolation ward first, and through the glass window, she watched Old Master Lawrence, who lay peacefully on the hospital bed. Waiting for the medical staff to finish changing his IV, she stopped one of the nurses and asked politely, “Excuse me, has the patient inside improved at all?”

“Who are you…” The hospital had been strictly guarding against reporters for the past couple of days, especially in the intensive care unit, where the defense was even tighter. Thus, when the nurse saw a stranger, her first impulse was not to answer the question, but to defensively counter-ask.

Just at that moment.

A domineering voice came from behind her, “She’s my woman.”

That voice was…

Enna Clark turned her head and, as expected, saw a certain handsome and assertive person approaching.

If not Baron Lawrence, then who?

She asked curiously, “Where’s Sister Skye? You finished talking to her that quickly?”

No sooner had she finished speaking, than her wrist was firmly grasped, as tightly as if she might turn into a butterfly and fly away. The force was as if he wanted to lock her up with chains.

“She had something else to attend to and left first,” he said tersely.

Enna Clark wasn’t foolish; she keenly sensed something was off in his attitude.

What exactly had Skye told him to make him act so strangely?

Baron Lawrence’s behavior was not only strange, but he also tightened his grip on her hand, his gaze burning into her as he emphasized, “Enna Clark, stay away from Skye Lawrence!”

“…”

He had brought this up countless times before, and since he had been hypnotized, Enna had thought he would not mention it again—yet here he was, bringing it up again.

She was somewhat puzzled as to what Skye had done to make him emphasize this over and over again.

“Did you hear me?” Baron Lawrence was particularly obstinate on this point. He gave her a tug and continued in a muted voice, “Never be alone with her! And certainly do not agree to any meetings with her! Especially if she does something like the Old Man, having someone call you to ask you out, no matter what she says, you must tell me immediately!”

“Don’t act on your own! And certainly don’t decide anything without consulting me!”

Just as Skye Lawrence dared to have her kidnapped once, there would be a second time, a third time.

He knew Skye Lawrence!

Skye had a personality just like the Old Man; she wouldn’t stop until she achieved her goal, having learned all of the Old Man’s tricks completely.

He didn’t know what Skye Lawrence intended by kidnapping this woman, but since she had started it, he couldn’t guarantee there wouldn’t be a next time!

Next time, he might not have a sixth sense to feel the danger she was in and chase after her in time.

So, the best solution was to keep Enna Clark from having much contact with Skye Lawrence!

The very thought of the things he had discovered last night made Baron Lawrence’s chest feel tight, and a nameless irritation surged through him.

Damn it.

What on earth was Skye Lawrence thinking?

Why did she have to keep picking on Enna Clark?

It didn’t seem like Enna had ever caused her any trouble, and even the Old Master’s attitude towards Enna was ambiguous. So why was she strongly opposing her?

Baron Lawrence furrowed his brows; no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t comprehend why Skye was doing these things.

Was she mad?

He clenched his fists, his handsome face looking extremely troubled.

No matter whether Skye Lawrence had gone mad or stupid, he had already issued the warning he had to give. If she continued down this path, he wouldn’t hold back with such politeness anymore!

And as for this woman…

“Did you hear what I said? Stay away from Skye Lawrence, don’t be alone with her!”
