Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 517 -517: Taking Baby Chi to School

“I’m just a little anemic, it’s not such a big deal,” Chi Enen said, feeling awkward. Li Beijue was being too dramatic, even ordering for nourishments.

Huo Yi solemnly retorted, “This is not a hassle. Miss Chi’s body is not the same as before; you must pay more attention to your health. Small details are most likely to affect one’s wellbeing, and as the butler, it’s my duty to help you maintain good health.”

“Okay.” He was so serious that Chi Enen couldn’t argue with him and could only nod. “I’ll try to eat more nutritious food.”

Huo Yi instantly lifted the corners of his mouth, “It’s great that Miss Chi thinks this way.”

“…” She couldn’t help their concern even if she didn’t agree.

Chi Enen pulled out a chair and sat down; indeed, as Huo Yi had said, the table was full of various nutritious foods first thing in the early morning. Eggs, of course, were a given; egg custard, boiled eggs, and fried eggs, she could choose as she pleased. Besides eggs, there was also chicken soup, even the porridge was blood-enriching and qi-nourishing pig liver porridge.

Just looking at all this food, she felt full.

Chi Jingchen kept adding dishes to her bowl and even shared his morning milk with her, “Woman, drinking more milk can also provide nutrition. Have some milk after the chicken soup.”

The taste of chicken soup mixed with milk… Chi Enen suddenly felt a bit nauseous. Her face changed as she covered her mouth, stood up quickly, and rushed toward the restroom, bending over to retch…

Chi Jingchen was startled and looked at Huo Yi, not knowing what to do.

Huo Yi calmly reassured him, “Little Young Master, this is a reaction all pregnant females have. Miss Chi is fine.”

“All women who are pregnant go through this?”

“Yes.”

He furrowed his eyebrows and decisively said, “Then after this one, no more.” He didn’t want to see his woman suffering like this.

Huo Yi was torn between laughter and tears; whether to have children seemed to be a matter for Miss Chi and Master Jue to decide, “Well…”

“Anyway, I don’t want my woman to go through this again.”

“…” Huo Yi pretended not to hear, ignoring the topic.

Chi Enen just had a spell of reflexive retching, which passed after a while. She rinsed her mouth and brushed her teeth, then returned to the dining table. “Sorry, let’s eat.”

“Okay, let’s eat.” Chi Jingchen took back the milk he had passed to her, acting like a little adult, but in a childishly squeaky voice, “I’ve thought it over, you shouldn’t drink the milk. Just have some chicken soup.”

“Mhm.” Chi Enen’s face was still a bit pale, but she seemed more relaxed. Despite her lack of appetite, she still picked up the egg custard and began eating with a spoon. No matter what, she had to eat more; more food was good for the baby.

She ate, spoonful by spoonful, and Chi Jingchen, reassured, began to eat his breakfast as well.

20 minutes later, Chi Enen put down her spoon.

Baby Chi also elegantly wiped the corners of his mouth and hopped down from the chair, shouldering his little backpack.

Huo Yi had just taken a phone call and came over, apologetically saying to Chi Enen, “Miss Chi, could you help me drop Little Young Master at school? A sudden emergency has come up that I must attend to, and I’m afraid I won’t be able to take him.”

“Of course, that’s no problem, I’m heading to the company anyway.” She was still in the early stages of pregnancy and didn’t plan on lying around at home all day; she wanted to take this opportunity to learn from Li Beijue and also, find time to take the adult college entrance examination.

Huo Yi breathed a sigh of relief, “That’s great.”
