Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 515 -515: He Has His Own Set of Theories

“Yes.”

Chi Jingchen reached out and touched her stomach, careful not to press too hard, and then withdrew his hand. Seeming to think of something, he pursed his lips and looked at her, “Chi Enen, many people stop liking their older child as much after they’ve had a second one, shifting all their attention to the younger one. When you have a younger sister, will you do the same?”

If that were the case, he’d rather not have a younger sister at all.

“Of course not,” Chi Enen patted his head, teasing him with a smile, “I’m still counting on you to grow up and make money to support me.”

Chi Jingchen felt inspired, his little phoenix eyes bright and determined once again, “Don’t worry, I will learn from The Neighbor Old Wang on how to make money. I’ll make sure to keep you and my little sister fat and white!”

Chi Enen couldn’t help but laugh silently, “…” She couldn’t tell the baby’s gender yet, but he was already repeatedly talking about having a little sister. If it turned out to be a little brother, he might well throw a fuss. However, she believed that Li Beijue would be a good father, and Baby Chi would also be a good big brother.

Chi Enen walked with him around the community. Because Zijing Garden is like a mansion-style community, even though it’s called a community, the price is not much different from a villa. Therefore, the greening of the community is particularly well done, with tree-lined paths and an artificial lake in the middle, complete with antique-style pavilions and several swans living in it.

Those who don’t know would think they’ve ended up in some park.

As the greening is extensive, the grounds are naturally spacious. It was Enen’s first time to walk through the entire community. After going around, she looked at her watch and realized they had walked for more than an hour.

Baby Chi was still energetic, but she was a bit exhausted. After returning home with the little guy and washing up, she had just laid down on the bed when Baby Chi pushed opened the door to her room, wearing a little tiger pajama set, and jumped onto the bed. He hugged her proactively, cooing adorably, “Woman, tonight I want to sleep with you.”

Chi Enen rarely saw him acting spoiled with her, and of course, she wouldn’t refuse. She wrapped her arms around his little bottom, “Alright.”

“Tell me a story.”

“Hmm. What do you want to hear?”

“I want to hear the story of The Ugly Duckling.”

“Once upon a time, a long time ago, daddy duck and mommy duck had a brood of cute baby ducks. Among them was a baby duck that was much larger than the others and gray all over, not pretty at all. So, the other ducklings would bully it, laugh at it, and even call it The Ugly Duckling. But The Ugly Duckling did not give up on itself. It worked hard to learn all the skills for living, doing its best in everything. Yet, the other ducklings would still often mock its appearance, and even mommy and daddy duck didn’t like it, and they chased it away. It struggled alone through the long winter… until one day by the lake, it discovered it had transformed into a beautiful white swan.”

“This story tells us that effort will always lead to change.”

Chi Jingchen had his own opinions, not agreeing with that at all, as he had his own theory. Frowning, he challenged her, “The Ugly Duckling didn’t become a swan because it worked hard, but because it was always a swan that ended up in a duck’s nest. Even if it never worked hard, it would still become a swan.”

He paused for a moment and earnestly said to Chi Enen, “Woman, this story doesn’t tell us that effort turns you into a swan. The story wants to tell us that a duck will always be a duck, and a swan will always be a swan. Even if a swan ends up in a duck’s nest, one day it will stand out because it is a swan. And no matter how hard a duck tries, it will always only be a good duck, not a swan.”
