Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 488: Chapter 488: Baby Chi is a Genius Child

The misunderstanding was finally resolved, and Chi Enen felt a sense of relief wash over her. As her eyes landed on the vitamins on the table, she was about to tell him about the medical checkup at the hospital this afternoon.

A small figure emerged from the study room. Chi Jingchen was dressed in British-style bandeau pants, looking every bit the little aristocrat, shuffling his feet in an out-toeing gait, casting a supremely unconcerned glance at them. “Did you guys forget that I’m still at home…”

How could he have such shameless parents who were all over each other at home, anytime, without a care in the world that he was still there?

His dark, large eyes, as cunning as a fox’s, made a round before he mischievously blinked, speaking in a milky voice, “Carry on, don’t mind me, I’m just here to get a glass of water, then I’ll go back to painting.”

With cheeks flushed with embarrassment, Chi Enen hastily pushed away the man holding her and stood up at once. “Baby, I’ll pour you some milk.”

Li Beijue’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, somewhat displeased that Chi Enen had pushed him away.

But Chi Enen didn’t seem to care about him at all. No matter what, he shouldn’t have kept the matter about Kim Zhiyuan from her. As a small punishment, she decided to ignore him for the entire day.

Chi Enen opened the refrigerator to pour Bae Chi a glass of milk. Bending down, she handed it to the little guy, striking up a conversation naturally, “Baby, how much have you painted?”

“Almost finished,” Chi Jingchen mumbled, taking a sip of milk and getting a ring of white froth around his mouth, looking irresistibly cute.

Chi Enen pulled out a piece of paper, squatting down to help wipe his mouth clean, smiling as she cocked her head, “Can I take a look?”

“You want to see?” Chi Jingchen sneaked a glance at the man not far away, pulled his gaze back, mischief in his agreement, “Sure.”

“Chi Enen!” Li Beijue was getting frustrated.

What was this woman trying to do?!

She hadn’t been interacting with him properly for three days. Now that they had just cleared up the misunderstanding, what was she up to?

“Woman, let me tell you, I painted a strawberry field, it’s really pretty…” Baby Chi deliberately defied him, tugging at Chi Enen’s hand as if deaf to everything around them, adorably babbling on.

Chi Enen, suppressing her laughter, joined in enthusiastically, “Really?”

Really, I’ll show you, you’ll know once you see it.”

The two exchanged words, paying no attention to him whatsoever. Hand in hand, they went back into the study room…

Li Beijue couldn’t believe he was being so blatantly ignored for the first time!

But he couldn’t get angry; his mood was like a clear sky, sweeping away the haze from the last several days.

Chi Enen said she was willing to make an effort for him, did that mean she liked him enough to stand up to the Old Master for his sake?

Li Beijue lifted his head, his fingertips grazing his rosy thin lips, his falcon-like eyes warming up, and a smile forming on his thin lips.

As long as Chi Enen was willing to make an effort for him, he would be fearless!

…

In the study room.

Chi Enen had initially only said she wanted to see Bae Chi’s oil painting to evade Li Beijue, but when she actually saw the strawberry field Bae Chi had painted, she couldn’t help but widen her eyes.

In disbelief, she pointed at the drawing board, her mouth agape, “Baby, did you paint this?”

The strawberry field was vibrant under the sunlight, and the stream flowed quietly, painting a serene and beautiful landscape…

But the key point was that the painting didn’t seem like it was done by a 5-year-old at all. When she was five, she could only manage to scribble messily with watercolor pens.

Bae Chi’s painting, to say the least, had clear outlines. One could tell he had depicted a strawberry field and a stream.
