Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 496: Chapter 496: Men Inferior to Horses

Li Beijue was so busy that he simply had no time to pay attention to her.

Almost anytime, someone would come to ask for his signature, and amidst such busyness, the internal line telephone would ring from time to time, and he also had to find time for video conferences amidst his hectic schedule.

This was the first time Enen had such a direct sense of his busyness.

Amidst handling so much work simultaneously, he was still able to accurately understand the situation of each project and issue orders with composure.

Enen watched, dumbfounded, and at the same time, became curious about the Li family’s education.

What kind of family could cultivate a man with such exceptional work capabilities?

It remained busy until 3 PM.

Only then, barely finishing his tasks and after having his secretary clear his afternoon schedule, did Li Beijue take her and leave the company.

The driver had already been waiting outside the company.

As soon as they came out, the driver immediately opened the car door, “Master Jue, Miss Chi. Please get in.”

Li Beijue got in first, followed closely by Chi Enen getting into the car.

The driver closed the car doors for them and went around to the front. “Master Jue, where to?”

“South Suburb Horse Racing Field.”

“Understood.”

The driver started the car, and they smoothly headed towards the South Suburb.

Rainy City’s South Suburb was famously a wealthy neighborhood, housing not only a horse racing field but also a golf course, high-end leisure clubs, and more.

It was Enen’s first time going there.

Their car had just arrived at the horse racing field when the field’s manager, with a few staff members, already came up to meet them, nodding and bowing to Li Beijue, “Young Master Li, your horse and the handler have been prepared. Would you like to rest a bit before you ride, or do you need it right away?”

Li Beijue looked over at Chi Enen, as if seeking her opinion.

After thinking for a moment, Enen said, “Let’s rest for a while.” He was too tired to start exercising immediately.

Thinking that she was the one who was tired, Li Beijue frowned slightly and, lifting his chin, spoke to the manager, “First, take us to choose a horse, one that a lady can ride, something gentler.”

The manager of the horse racing field stole a glance at Chi Enen and led them into the field, “Alright, Young Master Li and Miss, please follow me.”

“Let’s go.” Li Beijue naturally took her hand, leading her inside.

Chi Enen felt a warmth in her heart and followed his pace.

…

Li Beijue wanted to see horses, and the manager would not dare introduce anything substandard to them.

He led them directly to the training area with the most prestigious and expensive lineage, the training grounds for these million-dollar horses were not the smell-filled large sheds one might imagine, but an entirely modern and enormous structure.

Inside the thousand-square-meter area, there were only about a dozen horses, each with its own spacious room.

Not only was there ample sunlight, but music was even playing inside.

The melodious piano piece tinkled away; how could this be a place for horses? These horses lived even more luxuriously than white-collar professionals.

Enen finally understood what it meant to be rich.

Rich people were those who could afford to have a horse live in a hundred-square-meter room, enjoying sunlight, air conditioning, music, and personal attendants.

“Young Master Li, these are the best horses we have here, all with parentage certificates of prime thoroughbreds. Among them, these three mares are more gentle and suitable for a lady to ride,” the manager explained. “They are the three on the far left.”

Li Beijue scanned the three horses the manager pointed out, his eyebrows knitting together in dissatisfaction, “Is that all? Just these lopsided fruits?”

“…All the top-quality ones are here,” the manager said, troubled.

Li Beijue was not satisfied with any of them; in his eyes, Chi Enen deserved the best of everything. Horse riding naturally required the best horse!

He pressed his thin lips together and suddenly turned to Chi Enen, “You go outside and have some water first, I’ll go get my horse. You’ll use my horse later, and I’ll lead you on the ride.”
