Shrouding the Heavens

93: Refining a Human as Medicine 93: Refining a Human as Medicine Editor: Atlas Studios “What pill are you refining?” Ye Fan wanted to stall for as much time as possible.

Although events had already reached such a point, he still didn’t want to give up.

“It’s naturally an immortal pill that can allow one to pass through the Sea of Bitterness, step across the Divine Bridge, and reach Paramita.” Elder Han saw through his thinking, indifferently sneering, “There’s no need to rack your brain for ideas to stall.

No one will come rescue you.

Just calmly prepare to act as the primary ingredient and be slowly refined.” “You aren’t afraid of the knight once more appearing?” Ye Fan wasn’t terrified, instead acting very tranquil.

“Maybe you don’t know his status.” Elder Han’s expression didn’t change.

“What status?” “He comes from an Ancient Desolation Noble Family – the Jiang Family.” Saying this, Ye Fan lightly sighed, saying, “You’ve provoked a calamity for the Spirit Ruins Paradise.

You also don’t seem to know my true status.

I have relations with the Jiang Family’s people.

That knight was trying to find me…” Elder Han was motionless, his expression calm throughout all this.

He coldly said, “Someone like you could never have a friendship with the Jiang Family.” “I once rescued a Jiang Family’s girl who had wandered out of the family, thus forming a great karma between me and them.

If you don’t believe me, you can go to the Hazy Light Paradise and secretly inquire about it to see if I’m lying.

I once entered there with a member of the Jiang Family.” “This…” Elder Han’s expression changed.

The Spirit Ruins Paradise was one of Yan’s six top sects, so he naturally had heard of a member of the Jiang Family barging into the Hazy Light Paradise.

Elder Han bit ground his teeth, saying, “No matter what you say, your life is forfeit.” Ye Fan acted completely earnest, his expression solemn and serious.

“Elder Han, you have to clearly think about it.

Do you really want to offend one of the Ancient Desolation Noble Families?

Don’t believe you will be able to keep this secret.

After all, you already fought with one of the Jiang Family’s knights, so they’ll definitely be able to follow your trail.” “You little brat.

Although you’re so small, you really are crafty.

Do you think you can swindle me like this?

You’re really looking down on me.” Elder Han suddenly laughed sinisterly.

“You said too much.

I finally understand what’s going on.

That knight really is one of the Jiang Family’s people.

But he charged into the Violet Sun Paradise in order to chase after you!” Elder Han had lived many years.

He quickly came up with the general idea of what happened based on connecting the various things that had happened.” Ye Fan’s heart turned completely cold.

“Old fart Han, you’re really confident in yourself.

Just wait until all hell breaks loose!” “Little brat, you really are calm.

Even now you’re trying to trick me.

Just wait for me to slowly refine you.” Elder Han’s laugh was extremely sinister.

He picked up Ye Fan, saying, “Don’t worry, there definitely won’t be any outside disturbance.

I’ve left countless Dao Glyphs outside.

After I entered this cave, it has been completely isolated from the outside world.

No one is capable of finding it.” Elder Han had never understood why the Jiang Family’s knight was chasing Ye Fan, so he had been somewhat concerned.

After all, he had stolen away someone else’s prey.

He searched Ye Fan’s body.

“These things are all useless.” He first picked up that broken piece of jade, looking it over before discarding it onto the ground.

Ye Fan cursed that shameless Daoist in his heart.

That damn fatty had solemnly sworn that this piece of jade could save his life in critical moments, but in the end, it was absolutely useless.

Duan De, Duan De, you fucking bastard.

You really are lacking morals!

“What is this?” Elder Han carefully observed the Bodhi seed’s Buddha drawing.

“Natural veins forming an image.

Why does this baldy seem familiar?

This baldy seems to exist outside the Eastern Wastelands.” Baldy…?

Ye Fan was speechless.

Elder Han collected the Bodhi seed before turning to Ye Fan.

“Ok, time to send you into the medicinal cauldron.” “Elder Han, I’m not going to live much longer.

Can you at least give me a final meal?” “Stop wasting time thinking.

Even if you could delay this, it wouldn’t change anything.

Hurry up and enter.” Elder Han carried Ye Fan to those medicinal cauldrons, saying, “Pick one.

This is your only privilege.” Ye Fan knew there was no chance for him to get out.

He started to madly curse, “Old fogey Han, trying to act so immortal.

Go kiss your ancient ancestors and go fuck your female relatives in all your past eighteen generations…” Ye Fan’s cursing fell on deaf ears, as Elder Han didn’t react at all.

He directly threw Ye Fan into a medicinal cauldron, before walking to the corner of the room and carrying some large porcelain jars back, pouring some unknown liquid out of them into the cauldron.

“What is this?” Ye Fan felt bursts of odors assault his nose.

“This is a serum refined from several kinds of medicinal herbs.

It’s something that definitely cannot be lacked when refining medicines.

If it were to be refined further, it would become the Hundred Herb Liquid.” Elder Han poured all the serum into the Ye Fan’s cauldron.

He then took those rare spiritual medicines out of the medicinal cabinet, saying, “I’ve finally gathered all the spiritual ingredients.

Hopefully, I’ll succeed in refining the spiritual divine medicinal pill I require.” He first took out the lotus seed from the Black Jade Divine Lotus.

The pigeon egg-sized black lotus seed shone, releasing rays of black light and a fragrance that filled Ye Fan’s whole body.

Just the fragrance alone made him feel refreshed.

“Little brat, do you want to suddenly swallow this before I can react?” Elder Han coldly laughed.

“Don’t have so many crazy ideas.” He threw the lotus seed into the medicinal cauldron, at the same time taking a knife and cutting Ye Fan’s left arm.

Blood immediately began to flow out.

“You…” “You are the primary ingredient and your essence is within your flesh.

Naturally, I need to let your blood flow out first.” Elder Han’s expression was now extremely cruel.

Holding his own severed arm’s stump, he said, “In order to find you I even lost an arm today.

I have to properly refine you.

I must succeed!

Failure is unacceptable!” Blood flew as Elder Han used the dagger to also make a cut on Ye Fan’s right arm.

With his blood freely flowing into it, the liquid inside the medicinal cauldron quickly turned red.

Elder Han revealed his fierce nature, no longer appearing lifeless.

His eyes glowed sinisterly as he also made cuts on both of Ye Fan’s legs.

Ye Fan felt extreme pains throughout his limbs, and even his face was turning pale.

“Don’t hope for a miracle to occur!” Elder Han slashed the dagger upon Ye Fan’s chest, sinisterly saying, “I won’t hurt your heart.

You won’t immediately die.

Soak properly in this serum.

I bet you’ll be able to survive for a long time.

I have to keep you conscious and slowly refine out the divine medicine I need.” Elder Han was like an evil spirit.

Sticking out his withered tongue, he licked the blood off from the dagger, appearing extremely fierce.

“It’s very sweet.

I really looked forward to the time the pill is completed.” “Damn old fart…” Ye Fan gnashed his teeth in anger, feeling intense pain throughout his body as his life force slowly drained out of him.

At this moment, Elder Han opened the simple jade case, placing the Jade Snow Lotus’s sparkling green fruit into the medicinal cauldron.

It’s divine green light caused the serum inside to turn extremely bright.

“Little brat, you should be happy to be able to share the same furnace with this many spiritual medicines.

It’s a good fortune you wouldn’t get even through ten lifetimes of cultivation.” “Good fortune my ass.

Have you finished fucking your whole family’s women…?” Ye Fan madly cursed, wishing he could scrape off Elder Han’s skin and let his blood out, letting him also feel the sensation of his life force slowly flowing out until it was gone.

Elder Han then picked up the red jade-like divine herb with nine leaves.

Red light flickered between his fingertips.

According to legend, only a holy land that had been dyed with the blood of a phoenix could give birth to this kind of rare spiritual medicine.

Placing the Nine Leaf Phoenix Divine Herb into the medicinal cauldron, he suddenly frowned, muttering to himself, “No, placing all the spiritual medicines inside is too risky.

Just in case of failure, all my hopes would immediately be dashed.

It would be better for me to first slowly refine the main ingredient.

If it succeeds, then I can add the other spiritual medicines.” He only placed three of his rare spiritual medicines inside before stopping.

The medicinal cabinets were filled with splendor as all kinds of rare spiritual medicines released their light and fragrance.

None of them were inferior to the three spiritual medicines he had just thrown into the medicinal cauldron.

“First I’ll refine these three spiritual medicines with the main ingredient and see how the result is.” Elder Han carefully paid attention to things, tidying up all the remaining bright spiritual medicines.

“Does the little brat have any more last words?” Elder Han taunted Ye Fan.

He carried the cauldron cover over and prepared to place it on the cauldron.

Ye Fan was extremely weak, saying, “Old bastard, can you knock yourself dead on this medicinal cauldron for me?” Bang!

Elder Han placed the bronze cover over the medicinal cauldron and then began to start the flame to refine the ingredients.

An ordinary flame would never be able to refine a spiritual pill.

He was using the “fire fiends” he had drawn out of the earth.

Milky white light flickered below the cauldron, beginning to steam and pulse.

The reason why he had carved a secret cave in this place was because of the fire fiends below the ground here.

It was the strongest flame he was able to control at his current realm.

“Little brat, in order to find you I lost my left arm.

I’ll refine you over seven days and nights, letting you suffer endless torment before turning you into a medicinal pill!” Elder Han held his severed stump, his words incomparably sinister.
