Shrouding the Heavens

68: Black Metal Ape Chimera 68: Black Metal Ape Chimera Editor: Atlas Studios “Of course I can confirm that the green copper came from the Central States.” The shameless Daoist’s voice became somewhat quieter.

“At that time, the affair caused chaos that spread everywhere.

The Demon Emperor stole the Eastern Wastelands human race’s most precious treasure, the Desolate Pagoda, in order to use it a funerary object.

It was at that time it was lost, and everyone believed that was the reason for it.

But there was actually a hidden and lesser-known legend that said the Desolate Pagoda wasn’t taken by the Demon Emperor.

He did take action against it while searching for a funerary object, but he instead took a mysterious object from the Central States.

As for the lump of green copper, it is extremely mysterious, and very few people know about it.

Even if they have heard about it, they don’t have any understanding of it.” “You are basing your guess on just this?” Ye Fan asked suspiciously.

“The Demon Emperor’s tomb didn’t have the Desolate Pagoda.

Thus, the first legend must not be true.

So I naturally thought of the green copper.” Saying this, the shameless Daoist directly gave himself a slap, saying, “I never thought that after a lifetime of treasure hunting I would be tricked by this green copper.” “How did you realize later that something was wrong?” “Because it was too ordinary, beyond common sense.

No matter how you looked at it, there were no hints or clues when examining it.

After thinking about it, that was the greatest hint.

Even an ordinary useless copper wouldn’t be that ‘ordinary’…” Ye Fan purposely took a deep breath and said, “Wow, I can’t believe I was actually so amazing.

To actually throw away such a precious treasure on the same level as the Desolate Pagoda.

It’s a shame no one saw me.

At that time, I’m sure I must have seemed so suave and transcendent with a unique charm that no one else has ever possessed.” “Are you trying to piss me off?

You need a spanking!” The shameless Daoist’s nose practically sprained itself in anger.

Although Ye Fan felt that the fat Daoist was very immoral, he wasn’t a vicious and evil person.

Thus, he wasn’t too afraid of him.

“Calm down, Daoist.

You should be quickly thinking of a way to retrieve that piece of green copper.

Maybe the Desolate Pagoda really is hidden within the Yin Grave.

Or maybe you might even be able to collect both of those precious treasures.” “It’s impossible for the Desolate Pagoda to be within the Yin Grave!” Although he said this, the shameless Daoist still let Ye Fan off, carefully pondering what his next step should be.

“Fine, I’ll try it again!” The fat Daoist once more entered into the black bond.

He was unwilling to let go of that green copper.

BOOM!

Just at this moment, a huge whirlpool appeared within the black bond.

A malevolent vicious beast appeared within the black water.

Its whole body was pitch-black, like it had been forged from black metal, and possessed a demonic air.

Its shape was very strange.

It had three heads: the middle one appeared to be shaped like an orangutan’s head, while the left one was like a bird’s head, and the left one was like a snake’s head.

Its body seemed like a black metallic underworld horse.

Its body wasn’t covered by fur or feathers.

Instead, it was covered by black scales that flickered with a metallic luster, seeming to possess a powerful strength.

This was a huge beast that was over ten meters tall.

As it crashed in the water, it let out a deep roar, causing Ye Fan’s spirit to feel somewhat light, apparently on the verge of leaving his body.

“Collect your spirit!” the fat Daoist shouted.

“It’s unexpected that there would be such a thing!

It stays within extreme Yin land and its roar can shake people’s spirits!

This strange and powerful beast is the Black Metal Ape Chimera!” Its whole body gleamed.

Although this fierce and huge beast had three heads, only the middle ape head had a mind.

The bird and snake heads could use divine abilities, but they didn’t have any individual thoughts.

They were both controlled by the central ape head.

Its three heads and main body made it part of the Chimera race.

Some legends said that the Black Metal Ape Chimera could evolve to the point that its bird head and snake head could gain their own minds.

Once it reached such a state, it would truly be frightening.

Other than absolute peak masters, there would be no way to deal with it.

At that time, its magical power would tower over the heavens.

Once Ye Fan heard the shout, he attempted to recollect his spirit.

After being covered by a light barrier from the fat Daoist, his spirit quickly recovered and he no longer felt light.

BOOM!

Just at this moment, the Black Metal Ape Chimera suddenly emerged from the black water, and huge black waves of the oily water billowed towards Ye Fan and the fat Daoist.

Chi!

The shameless Daoist’s reactions were extremely quick.

Using one hand to draw a circle, a cyan light spilled out, and mist exploded out to cover him and Ye Fan.

That cold black water and mist that could even freeze rocks were stopped by it.

At the same time, he also wrote a huge character in the air-“SEAL!” “Submit!” The fat Daoist’s clear shout caused the “Seal” character to brighten.

It looked to be carved from precious stone, possessing a tangible quality as it flew forward.

BANG!

It solidly imprinted itself onto the Black Metal Ape Chimera’s body.

With a hissing sound, bursts of Yin cold black mist boiled out from it.

It gradually merged into the ebon metallic beast’s body.

ROAR!!

The Black Metal Ape Chimera used all its might, its body trembling, its left and right drooping heads slowly rose.

The bird head spit out a blazing lightning, while the snake head stuck out its tongue, spewing out a black flame that almost caused the void to ignite.

“Extreme Yin Lightning and Underworld Flame!” The fat Daoist was startled, hastily pulling Ye Fan back a couple steps.

He opened his mouth, and spit out a small red shield.

Light sparkled upon it, and it immediately opened to become thirty meters tall, protecting their bodies.

BANG, BANG, BANG!!!

Lightning fluttered and the flame burned as it battered the scarlet shield.

Sparkling red light danced upon it.

“This Black Metal Ape Chimera truly isn’t simple.

Its left and right heads seemed to have once gained spirituality, but after being penetrated by someone, they once again lost that spirituality!” The fat Daoist was solemn.

If that Black Metal Ape Chimera’s three heads all gained spirituality, then even if a powerful cultivator were to meet it, all they could do was run.

“It’s still ok, the two heads aren’t in their perfect state…” he quietly muttered.

The Chimera’s powerful attack caused the precious red shield to tremble, but in the end, it was blocked.

“Take this!” A resplendently bright light emerged from the fat Daoist’s Sea of Bitterness, glowing just like a shining bright moon as it charged towards the Black Metal Ape Chimera.

BANG!

The Chimera’s central ape head’s eyes emitted two golden rays, which collided with the moon-like jade plate’s attack, and the two attacks shook the very air.

The shameless Daoist appeared startled, mumbling, “All three of the heads have been heavily wounded by someone.

Apparently, all three of its heads gained spirituality, but they all lost it when they were wounded.

If I had met it back then, I definitely could only flee.” It wasn’t just the Black Metal Ape Chimera’s two offshoot heads that had been wounded.

Even the central head was badly injured, making it difficult for it to ever regain its former might.

Currently, it was gradually being suppressed by the shameless Daoist.

BANG!

While the shameless Daoist was trying to suppress it, the Black Metal Ape Chimera violently shook, and a dazzling dark golden light exploded out from its entire body, breaking away from its bindings and allowing it to sink back into the black pond.

“It truly was formidable.

If its three heads recovered, very few people would be able to handle it.” The fat Daoist appeared extremely solemn.

Just at this moment, the black and cold pond whose depths could not be reached undulated fiercely, as if something from below the surface was rushing out…

something more violent than the Chimera.

Huge black waves surged, and cold mist turbulently flowed out.

The black mist lingered, its bone-piercing coldness caused the mountain to freeze once again, and many mountain stones about them froze and turned into fine powder.

“Respected Daoist, didn’t you say the Yin Grave was hidden below, and that there was nothing else?

Why did something this terrifying appear?” “It might be because I inadvertently caused something that brought this trouble.” “What did you do?” “Thousands of meters below in the black bond, I saw a broken stone tablet that said ‘Underworld Pool’.

I pulled it out and threw it into the depths in order to measure how deep the bottom was.

It might have ended up touching the Demon Emperor’s Yin Grave.” “Respected Daoist, you don’t think you ended up smashing that broken tablet into the Demon Emperor’s Yin Palace, do you?” “At that time, who knew that the Demon Emperor’s Yin Grave was at the bottom…” Just at this moment, the morbid pond’s water splashed and surged.

A squadron of Yin Soldiers wearing black iron armor rushed out, each with a jet-black Yin Blade within their hands, appearing completely lifeless.

“This is…” Ye Fan was shocked.

Even the fat Daoist was startled, pulling Ye Fan back.

“What’s going on?

The Demon Emperor’s Yin Grave is so strange!

Does it actually possess grave guards?” The black pond’s water boiled coldly, and broken ancient war chariots emerged from the inky water, pulling more Yin Soldier troops.

Their bodies were all completely covered by black iron armor, and each had a black Yin Blade or a black Underworld Spear.
