The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 165: Chapter 139: The Third Person After the Body Was Dumped!

”Based on the degree of rigor mortis, I estimate the time of death to be approximately three days ago.”

As Jiang An presented the forensic findings, everyone in attendance began to take notes.

This young man, who started working not long ago, has proven his crime-solving skills time and again.

His success in solving the previous three cases has already demonstrated his strength to everyone.

Moreover, now he has become the leader of the homicide special task force, which is a strong endorsement of his personal capabilities by both Mr. Ma and Li Jian.

In the meeting room, Jiang An continued, ”However, there are some particularly distinctive features on the female victim.”

”Firstly, the female victim was found entirely naked. Why was she without clothing? Was it that she originally wasn’t wearing any, or were they forcibly removed?”

”Secondly, the victim had a slender body, enhanced bust, and no less than eight dental implants, which are quite costly.”

”Finally, there are multiple mucosal lacerations in the lower body of the deceased. We’ve collected fluid samples for a male DNA test, results pending. However, there is a T-shaped IUD, yet the cervix is unmarked by childbirth.”

Jiang An turned to look at Li Jian after finishing.

”Mr. Li, that’s all I have to share about the corpse.”

Li Jian nodded, as objective reports were exactly what he expected.

After all, this laid the groundwork for further in-depth discussion.

Li Jian paused briefly before speaking, ”These are the clues we have so far.”

”Next, let’s discuss this case together.”

”Everyone feel free to speak their mind without restraint.”

”I’ll reiterate, until the truth is uncovered, anything anyone says could be the truth.”

Li Jian had just finished speaking.

As with previous meetings, many in the room lowered their heads.

Li Jian glanced around and called out, ”Mr. Zhang, since the body was found in your jurisdiction, why don’t you start?”

Being called out suddenly, Zhang Chao promptly straightened up.

As the head of the police station, he’s been busy with basic duties for years, and it’s rare for him to attend criminal investigation meetings.

If the body hadn’t been found in his area, he probably wouldn’t have had the chance to attend this meeting.

All of a sudden, Zhang Chao felt somewhat excited.

He began speaking, ”Mr. Li, I’ll kick off by sharing some personal thoughts.”

”The victim is female and without clothes; I think it’s unlikely she accidentally drowned while bathing.”

”Even if people swim in the river, they usually at least wear underwear.”

”Considering a young woman naked in water, I wonder if this is related to a sexual crime.”

”Moreover, our patrolling officers reported seeing a couple pulling at each other by the riverside three nights ago, and that woman had long hair and a similar height to the victim.”

”So, could it be that the woman was the victim?”

Suddenly, Li Jian asked, ”Where did this incident occur?”

”Near the Three Sandstone Plants.”

”Chen, is there surveillance near that area?”

Chen He checked his notebook and shook his head.

”No, there isn’t!”

Li Jian continued, ”This is a significant clue and must be thoroughly verified next.”

”Mr. Zhang, do you have anything else?”

Zhang Chao slightly grinned and said, ”That’s all for now; if we discover anything further, I’ll promptly report back to the investigation team.”

”Our work is often at the grassroots, dealing with neighborhood disputes and petty theft.”

”Please forgive any shortcomings, Mr. Li and colleagues.”

Li Jian chuckled, ”Mr. Zhang, you’re being modest! What you shared is invaluable.”

With the first analysis shared, others seemed less restrained than before.

”So, who else would like to contribute?”

As soon as his words fell, Wan raised his hand and said, ”Boss, I’d like to offer my humble opinion.”

Seeing Wan so eager, Li Jian smiled.

”Such enthusiasm today, go ahead with courage!”

Encouraged by the captain, Wan stood up and said, ”Boss, everyone knows the details of the case, so I’ll just share my thoughts directly.”

”This female victim has injuries to her lower body, so I’m highly suspicious her husband or boyfriend is the perpetrator.”

”Oh? Can you explain your reasoning?”

Wan excitedly said, ”Boss, the most notable feature of this body is the lack of clothing.”

”There are no hydroelectric stations on this 20-kilometer river section.”

”If the victim was clothed when she entered the water, the clothes wouldn’t come off during floating.”

”So, I highly suspect the victim wasn’t wearing clothes before entering the water.”

”For an adult female, for the assailant to kill and assault her, it’s unlikely to occur outdoors.”

”Therefore, I personally think it’s most likely that the husband or boyfriend murdered her indoors and disposed of the body.”

”Boss, these are my immature views, please offer criticism and guidance.”

Upon Wan’s finishing, Li Jian smiled and nodded.

”Not bad! Your analytical thinking has greatly advanced!”

Those who joined the police force at the same time as Wan all looked on with envy.

Seeing the recognition from everyone, Wan felt a touch of pride.

He has spoken numerous times in this meeting room.

However, this was the only time he received praise from Mr. Li.

At this moment, he felt content, particularly glancing at Jiang An.

Having frequently analyzed cases with Jiang An, even learning a little has put him ahead of many.
