Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 683  Sark Hearted And Viscious

Old Peter had long been known in the community for his bad relationships, hated by gods and ghosts alike. Which old-timer in Phase One didnʼt know who he was?

The old staff at the property management knew him well too, constantly clashing with others every few days. He wasnʼt targeting just one person, his conflicts bloomed everywhere, making enemies all around.

He was the kind of slippery rogue that gave both the property management and the neighborhood office a headache. If he werenʼt so difficult to deal with, they wouldnʼt have been unable to collect property fees for over a decade.

Earlier, Minda also said the guy was pretty pitiful, and that when going after Old Peter, they shouldnʼt drag the son into it too much.

At that level, the mistresses who manage to climb up are all ruthless, dark-hearted, and vicious... yet even they thought he was pitiful. Luis wasnʼt cold-hearted, so he didnʼt want to make things hard for him.

”This is my son-in-law, he calls the shots in our house. Just talk to him.”

Ruth was quite gracious, smiling and saying, ”Whatever my son-in-law says goes.”

”Brother, Iʼm really sorry for the trouble Iʼve caused you.”

Not only was he offering money, but Pete also immediately placed a pack of good cigarettes on the table and said, ”Please calm down, donʼt stoop to my dadʼs level. Itʼs not worth it.”

Calling him ”brother” repeatedly, apologizing with a humble attitude, the principle of ”never hit a smiling face” made it impossible to make things hard for him.

Luis agreed very casually, ”Alright, no problem!!”

”Thank you, thank you so much!!”

He went back to the property management office with Pete, where they also called in the former police officer to draft a mediation agreement.

The mediation agreement was signed in four copies, one for each party, one taken by the police officer, and one kept at the property management office as a record of their work.

Then they went down to the underground garage together. Pete took one look at the scene and was dumbfounded, ”What, what happened here??”

”Your dad happened. Smashed the car overnight, then used one of those building-shaking devices.”

Luis said with a light laugh, ”Donʼt worry, it has nothing to do with you. When we called the police, it was only to go after him for compensation. I know the difference.”

The workers Pete brought started tearing down the wall. Some loose gravel bounced onto the car, inevitably leaving scratches. Normally, heʼd have to pay out of pocket to repaint it.

But at that moment, he didnʼt care at all. He just smoked his cigarette in silence.

Luis patted him on the shoulder without saying anything. Sometimes, communication between men is that simple. From Luisʼs attitude, the emotionally intelligent guy could surely see the goodwill.

”My dadʼs not home, otherwise the cops would have grabbed him by now.”

Just as Luis was about to leave, Pete called out to him, his voice hoarse, ”Big brother, you did call the police, right?”

Luis joked, ”Isnʼt that the normal thing to do?”

”Besides, pulling the power switch last night made things quiet, but your dadʼs so stubborn. If he hooks up a battery and keeps going, thatʼll give me a headache too.”

”Breaking down the door would be illegal. I canʼt just let him turn everything upside down like that, can I?”

Luis looked straight at him and said, ”Brother, trying to me to let it go wonʼt work. The property management called the police first.”

”And anyway, how much money do you have? If your dad keeps this up endlessly, wonʼt you want to live your life, get married?”

”Not to mention, if something like the teahouse incidenhappens again, or if the car canʼt be moved again, which of those can you accept...”

These words made Peteʼs expression change. He had been wrestling with himself, his eyes full of hesitation, but at that moment, they seemed to clear up.

Before finishing the cigarette, he threw it on the ground and stamped it out.

His face was expressionless as he said softly, ”Thank you, big brother. I know what to do now. He needs to learn a lesson.”

”I, Iʼll go talk to Sister Yang about it.”

Minda was socially adept, and the property management played a key role in this matter, acting like a mediator. Pete seemed to trust them a lot.

Minda knew what Luis was thinking. Beyond teaching Old Peter a lesson, making him completely isolated and abandoned was the real punishment.

As soon as Ruth heard there was drama to watch, she gave up her afternoon card game spot to someone else.

The son-in-law and mother-in-law went straight home, ate a simple boxed lunch, and then went to the bedroom to watch the computer screen. This kind of thing was more entertaining than any drama series.

In the community underground garage, Pete calmly watched the workers haul away the broken red bricks.

After finishing his last cigarette, he got a call from his father. Whatever was said on the other end, clearly in a rage, Pete just replied, ”Got it, Iʼm coming to the property management office now.”

At the property management office, two district police officers were already waiting. They had been running back and forth quite a bit over the past two days.

As soon as Pete arrived, Old Peter grabbed him by the collar, his face twisted in anger as he yelled, ”You ungrateful bastard, how could you do something so heartless?”

”Dad, whatʼs wrong?”

Peteʼs voice was eerily calm.

”Whatʼs wrong? How dare you play dumb here?”

”Your dad got bullied, and instead of backing me up, youʼre here messing things up? What the hell is wrong with you?”

”Why did you take down my building-shaker? You think that was cheap?”

”And why did you pay him money? How embarrassing! How are you going to show your face after this?”

As he spoke, Old Peter even slapped Pete and roared, ”Useless piece of shit! Is getting married that important? Is your job that important? If you piss me off to death, what will you do then?”

”Then go die!”

Pete roared back, all humility and gentleness gone.

A volcano always erupts when the time comes. When a quiet, reasonable man finally gets angry, he is far more ferocious than any vicious criminal.

Pete fiercely shoved the old man away and roared with anger, ”Other than talking shit with your mouth, what the hell else can you do?!”

Seeing this scene, Ruth clapped her hands in delight, gloating and excited as she said, ”Thatʼs how it should be...”

”That old bastard, the one heʼs bullied the most is his own son...”

”You, you, you little bastard, are you rebelling against me?!”

Old Peter was shoved so hard that he fell to the ground sitting down, looking at his son with disbelief, a son whose expression was even more twisted than his own.

That son who had been emotionally blackmailed by his father since childhood, brainwashed and controlled, numbed by psychological manipulation until he was almost, always meek and submissive.

”Get lost, who the hell do you think you are? Other than causing trouble all day, what else can you do?”

”You canʼt help me with a damn thing, but youʼre really good at making trouble for me. If youʼre going to die, then go die sooner.”

”Iʼm going to live with Lanta, both her parents have agreed, and theyʼre willing to help us with the renovation money... You donʼt get to boss me around.”

”If she moves in as a daughter-in-law, sheʼll wash your feet for you, wash your worthless dog life, what the hell are you even saying?”

”Sheʼs never even taken care of her own parents, so why the hell should she take care of a piece of shit like you who spews nonsense from your mouth?”

During this tirade, Pete was extremely emotional. Not only was his face twisted and his emotions high, but it was as if years of pent-up and pain were finally erupting.

His eyes were bloodshot and filled with tears, and he was completely in a state of explosive rage.

Old Peter suddenly stood up, pulled a bottle of pesticide from his chest, and shouted angrily, ”Ungrateful bastard, you little prick thinks heʼs grown wings, huh?”

”Right now, put that wall back the way it was, and you are not allowed to drive that car away or pay any compensation.”

”Otherwise, Iʼll die right in front of you right now!”

He probably remembered the pain from his first relationship, when his father forced him to kneel down, and they eventually broke up with deep resentment. The more suppressed the feelings had been, the more violently they now erupted.

Seeing the situation and fearing something terrible might happen, the two police officers moved to intervene, but Pete suddenly charged forward.

However, he wasnʼt trying to stop his father. Instead, he shoved the two somewhat older officers aside, grabbing and pulling them into the office area, blocking them from getting closer.

After this somewhat rough, he turned around and yelled, ”Then go die already!”

His sudden behavior stunned everyone. Even Luis and Ruth watched with their mouths hanging open.
