Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women

Chapter 657  I Mean.. Itʼs Okay!!

Luis smiled lightly and said with a casual tone, ”Itʼs normal. Parents often lack empathy, just like how he sees it, his Mother-in-law never asks what you all want to eat.”

”This is also very simple. Many parents, or grandparents, tend to follow the selfish development pattern of human nature.”

”Some canʼt achieve things themselves, so they call it a regretful dream that needs their children to make up for and accomplish. In fact, they never ask whether the child actually likes it; they just keep forcing them.”

”Yes, Brother-in-law is absolutely right.”

Ariana said indignantly, ”Her dad always says that back then, he didnʼt get into No. 1 High School because he had an off day.”

”He thinks his genes are super excellent and believes that her failure to get into No. 1 High School is her sin. But damn it, she never liked studying in the first place, and sheʼs not the bookworm type like him.”

She spoke passionately and with great relief.

Bathek City No. 1 High School was considered a century-old prestigious school. Although it fell a bit short compared to modern exam-oriented education groups, in the eyes of countless older generations, it was still a temple-level existence.

Leah also looked quite agitated and said, ”Thatʼs exactly it! Who in her family can actually study? And the key point is, her mom still scolds her about it.”

The little sister-in-law was truly wronged. In middle school, her grades had been firmly in the top five of her grade year after year.

But then she got to a place like No. 1 High School, where academic elites gathered, and her ranking dropped to staying within the top ten. Yet, her Mother-in-law only looked at the ranking and was never quite satisfied with her studies.

Luis immediately said, ”Leah, he argued with his wife about this.”

”Argued about it?”

The little sister-in-law was a bit dumbfounded.

”Calling it an argument is more like a discussion, really. Because they just donʼt understand the logic that a young monk in a big temple is different from a senior monk in a small temple.”

”Tsinghua and Peking University are good enough, right? But who dares to say how many people commit suicide there every year?”

”He was originally the top scorer in his city, but once he got to that school, not to mention achieving excellent grades, he even ended up as a complete nobody, a background character with no presence, possibly even at the bottom of the pack.”

”Many parents donʼt understand that kind of huge落差 (drop). That overwhelming落差 is exactly what those kids canʼt handle.”

Luis said very gently, ”Baby Leah, when you first started at No. 1 High School, you only met two types of people.”

”One type is the academic achievers you compete against. The other type is the kids whose families have money or connections to get them in. Those mediocre classmates whose names you canʼt even remember, you basically never run into them anymore, do you?”

”Leah, was the pressure really that bad?”

Ariana asked with a slight hesitation. In her mind, Leah should have been doing pretty well.

Her parents had always used Leah as a role model to lecture her. In her world, Leah was the quintessential ʼother familyʼs child.ʼ

Even though the two cousins had been confused and curious together during adolescence, what bothered her the most were still her parentsʼ words. Leah, in her world, was always ʼthat kid from the other family.ʼ

The ʼother familyʼs childʼ is always the most annoying, right? Even without any grudge, theyʼre just irritating.

Leah directly snuggled into her arms and said with a wry smile, ”See? Thatʼs why she canʼt figure it out. Why do they have to criticize her grades?”

Ariana was also deep in thought. After hearing that, she was stunned herself. In her mind, her little cousin Leah, who got such good grades, should have been showered with love and affection from everyone.

Almost simultaneously, they both turned to look at Luis, as if he were a lighthouse they needed when feeling lost.

Luis saw that the two little ones already had looks of admiration on their faces and knew that catering to their interests tonight had worked.

Playing the role of the understanding, empathetic big brother was definitely effective. He had to stand in their shoes and think about the troubles they faced in their adolescence.

Although, honestly, his lustful intentions came first. Given how useless the little brother-in-lawʼs father, Logan, was, combined with the Mother-in-lawʼs parenting style, forget it, that was completely out of line with modern moral standards.

The Mother-in-lawʼs way of raising children was absolutely full of resentment. Honestly, it was a blessing that the three sistersʼ personalities hadnʼt turned out twisted.

”Some parents are just like that. To be fair, itʼs actually quite human!”

”By the time they reach a certain age, compared to the people around them, theyʼve become too ordinary.”

”Their living conditions, their work life, they have absolutely no presence there!”

”So, at this age, through forceful means and a somewhat变态 (twisted) desire for control, they try to find some sense of presence in their own children.”

As the understanding brother-in-law, Luis directly played to their feelings, even though the little sister-in-law had always behaved obediently and never said these things out loud.

But this strategy was correct. Ariana immediately said indignantly, ”Exactly! What her dad says is total bullshit. He couldnʼt get into No. 1 High School himself, so why the hell does he think she has to get in?”

The little sister-in-law, Leah, felt the same way and said angrily, ”Itʼs the same for her! Sheʼs the only one in her family who even made it to high school, and she got into No. 1 High School!”

”Before, her mom said she couldnʼt possibly spend that much money in a month. Bullshit! She felt so embarrassed just getting food in the cafeteria.”

Luisʼs tactic of fostering a sense of shared grievance was absolutely masterful. It made the two of them drop their barriers and freely vent about their parentsʼ faults.

To be honest, this trick was a bit immoral, but it was indeed effective. Creating that resonance brought them closer emotionally.

The two little sisters-in-law were especially happy. Leah, now feeling more confident, immediately scolded her playfully, ”You act like wearing a skirt is going to kill you! Those were specially bought for you, over four hundred dollars each, you know.”

Ariana immediately rolled her eyes at her and said, ”Donʼt try to fool anyone. A skirt for over four hundred dollars? Youʼre that rich?”

The little sister-in-law, Leah, had truly made up her mind. Gritting her teeth, she said directly, ”Four hundred dollars used to be a lot, but now, itʼs not like we canʼt afford it. And donʼt you go getting all confused living here.”

”What do you mean?”

Her little cousin Ariana looked at her, completely bewildered.

Leah directly pinched her a few times on the waist and said, her face flushed, ”Stop pretending, damn it. Donʼt act all innocent with me here.”

”How much living expenses does Brother-in-law give her each month? What he gives you is definitely the same amount...”

At this, Ariana felt guilty. Five hundred dollars a month, even more than her dadʼs salary. To put it bluntly, she had heard at school about classmates being kept as sugar babies.

Out in the countryside, information was scarce. A single hookup was only about thirty or forty dollars. Even being kept for a month wouldnʼt be that much money.

Getting that living allowance from her brother-in-law, she lived an exceptionally comfortable life, but deep down, she couldnʼt help feeling uneasy.

Seeing her rare look of nervousness, the little sister-in-law Leah felt happy and said with a giggle, ”You damn Ariana, youʼre the one whoʼs even more off. Last time you saw her and Brother-in-law getting intimate, donʼt tell me you havenʼt gotten intimate with Brother-in-law yourself?”

”You, what the hell are you talking about?”

Ariana was completely panicked but didnʼt dare deny it.

This was probably the first time Leah had gained the upper hand. Watching her little cousinʼs flustered expression, she suddenly felt a surge of confidence but didnʼt push her advantage or take advantage of her panic.

Watching the two of them play and frolic was the most beautiful scenery.

They didnʼt head to the capital. The main reason was that Luis wasnʼt familiar with the environment there. No matter how much he thought about it, he couldnʼt figure out what fun places there were.

Their first stop was the cityʼs most bustling Wanda Plaza. After parking the car, the two young sisters intimately linked arms.

Leah said cheerfully, ”Hooray! Ariana, tonight weʼre really going to bleed Brother-in-law dry!”

Luis followed behind them and said with a warm, slow smile, ”Bleed him dry, go ahead. No matter how you two bleed him dry, Brother-in-law will be happy.”

The first stop was straight to the girlsʼ favorite, Chanel. As soon as they walked in, Ariana was a bit nervous and looked around uneasily.

For her, this brand held a very alluring and romantic feeling, but it also seemed like something that would never intersect with her world.

Compared to her little cousinʼs nervousness, the little sister-in-law was much more cheerful. She took Arianaʼs hand and looked around, saying playfully, ”Ariana, look at this necklace, itʼs really beautiful. It would suit you perfectly!”

”Itʼs okay, I guess.”

Arianaʼs eyes lit up when she saw it, but when she noticed the price tag of over one thousand dollars, her gaze began to flicker.
