Chapter 1136: Karmic Luck Difference

Kyle created two additional Avatars and stopped. In the end, six versions of Kyle all looked at each other.

ʼKinda weird to be in six places at the same time,ʼ he thought as he looked at his Avatars. ʼI need some more colors to distinguish them. Since Iʼm going with an edgy and a normal version, I should also choose the colors appropriately.ʼ

Kyle designated his red and black Avatars as the representatives of his two groups. Red would lead the colorful squad, while Black led the subdued squad.

The two Avatars following Black became white and grey. Initially, Kyle considered making them dark blue and dark green to match the swampy theme, but he felt this theme fit better. White and black were often not seen as actual colors, and grey was just a mix of black and white.

The Avatars of this group were called Black, White, and Grey.

The two Avatars following Red turned blue and green to create the primary colors. Yellow could be used as a substitute for green, but Kyle decided to go with green instead. With the three primary colors, he could make every other color.

Naturally, the Avatars were called Red, Blue, and Green.

In the next moment, five of Kyleʼs Avatars looked at Green.

”Youʼre my least favorite,” Red said. ”I donʼt like yellow or green. Theyʼre boring colors, but we have to have a theme!”

Green looked at the ground. ”Iʼm sorry for being born wrong.”
”You better be!” Red shouted, pointing at Green with an accusatory finger.

If Green were an actual individual, this situation might seem unfair, but he wasnʼt. All six of them were just Kyle. Calling one of them out was no different from a guy telling his left arm that he liked the right arm more. The arm was not a true individual, just like Green.

ʼAlright, so, how will I divide my Avatars? Do I actually send three of them to the Cult of Final Fate?ʼ

Kyle remembered the times he told his friends about his identity as a Parasite. This had been a deep betrayal since the Cult was the enemy of the Cosmos, and his friends had been part of the Cosmos.

ʼI seriously donʼt want this to happen a second time. How am I supposed to spend more time with others when I constantly feel like Iʼm betraying them?ʼ

ʼHowever, I also wouldnʼt really be part of the Cult. I mean, back then, my actual allegiance was with the Cult. I was only in the Array of Stars as a spy. The Blessing made sure that I wouldnʼt truly join the Array of Stars.ʼ

ʼNow, things are different. In fact, depending on what I want, it might even be the opposite. I could stay with the Cult to spy on them.ʼ

ʼYeah, the war is probably pretty intense, and if I can see how both sides act, I could affect things. I mean, sure, I wonʼt have a huge impact on the war, but I can use the attacks of the Cult to my advantage. If I know where they will strike, I will have the initiative. I can decide whether or not itʼs worth engaging them.ʼ

Black scratched the back of his head. ʼBut Iʼm also not entirely sure about my allegiance. I have a conflict with three of the ten Higher Supreme Powers. The Array of Stars and the Contrast Empire even directly went against me. Meanwhile, the Cult treated me rather nicely.ʼ

ʼItʼs weird. I personally dislike one party, but that party is fighting for something I support. I personally like the other party, but that party is fighting for something I donʼt support.ʼ

ʼI want this Cosmos to survive, but the people in charge really havenʼt treated me well.ʼ

ʼI donʼt feel good supporting either side fully.ʼ

Kyle thought about the mysterious Organization behind Manny, Swamp Dragon, and the man.

ʼI still donʼt know a lot about them. As far as I can tell, theyʼre enemies of both Gods. They donʼt want the Cosmos to be destroyed, but they also donʼt like how the owner runs the Cosmos. They seem like the best party to follow.ʼ

Yet, as Kyle remembered his interaction with these three members, he felt some disgust.

All three of them had put the greater collective above their feelings. Manny and Swamp Dragon had decided that sacrificing their comrades was acceptable if it achieved a greater goal. On top of that, the man had voted against what he felt was right to get the outcome he wanted. Sure, that wasnʼt nearly as bad as what the other two had done, but it was a good indicator of his personality.

ʼThey seem to aim for the correct goal, but they all feel... inhuman. They are still humans, obviously, but they act more like cells or worker ants. They ignore their own desires and emotions and turn into mindless zealots who try to improve the world. They almost act like an army of Avatars that all belong to one being. Itʼs like they have a hivemind.ʼ

ʼI mean, you could probably call their actions and sacrifices commendable, but I still donʼt like it.ʼ

ʼWell, I guess I donʼt really have many choices. The best way forward is probably to simply send one group to the Cult, while the other group tries to gain a foothold in the Immortal Dimension.ʼ

ʼSpeaking of, since my plan is now set, I should make some preparations.ʼ

Kyleʼs Avatars teleported to different places in pairs. Each pair had one Avatar of each team.

Then, Kyle used his Divine Consciousness and looked at the world. This time, he didnʼt look at Mortals but at Seekers.

After looking at the world for a bit, three of Kyleʼs Avatars lifted their hands.

BANG!

Several Seekers were turned into dust in an instant. Naturally, Kyle had searched for Seekers he was fine with killing.

Groups of Seekers chasing after one Seeker.

Seekers who waited for a fight to finish so that they could kill the weakened victor to easily gain resources.

Seekers who used their power to force weaker Seekers into working for free.

People like that.

Did these Seekers deserve death?

That didnʼt matter. Kyle needed to do something, and he didnʼt like them.

As soon as the Seekers died, a huge burst of negative Karmic Luck assaulted Blackʼs team. At the same time, Blackʼs team took all of the resources of the dead Seekers and gave them to Redʼs team.

Redʼs team took the resources and redistributed them to other Seekers whom Kyle liked.

The green Karmic Lines on Redʼs team increased, while red bursts appeared on Blackʼs team.

Next, Black destroyed a Law Well. Afterward, Red repaired the Law Well.

White killed several powerful beasts, and Blue gave the beastsʼ treasures to different Seekers.

Grey killed Major Metal Elementals, and Green gave the metals to Seekers he liked.

Black, White, and Grey kept losing Karmic Luck, while Red, Blue, and Green kept gaining Karmic Luck.

Countless cowardly and opportunistic Seekers died, while countless courageous and honest Seekers gained resources.

The disparity in Karmic Luck between both teams increased dramatically.
