“1.2 billion…” Murmuring to himself, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze fell upon his status screen.

There was no denying that these many Evolution Points were quite terrifying.

So much so, Yu Zi Yu being seen as an ‘Executioner’ or ‘Devil’ by many Mutant Beasts was not a surprise.

However, that was not all that he gained.

In addition to harvesting Evolution Points, Yu Zi Yu also extracted a horrible amount of Spiritual Energy, flesh and blood.

The Spiritual Energy was absorbed for his own needs, while the flesh served as nutrients for his body. He even kept high-quality Souls.

‘Eating people without spitting out the bones,’ these words perfectly describe Yu Zi Yu now.

Reflecting on this, Yu Zi Yu decided to continue.

This world was destined to be ruled by the strong. Furthermore, he had restrained himself and his Legion very well.

For example, Mutant Beasts that had not Transcended and those of Tier-1 were spared from slaughter.

‘Pluck the fruits not the plant’ this was a principle Yu Zi Yu instilled in the Mutant Beasts like Nine Tails.

Upon learning this, even Golden Monkey looked at Yu Zi Yu with a peculiar gaze.

[Master truly treats each continent as his own breeding ground.] Thinking this to himself, Golden Monkey couldn’t help but shake his head helplessly. [From a certain perspective, Master is terrifying.]

…

At this moment.

*Haaaa…* Taking a deep breath, Yu Zi Yu began to mobilize his Spiritual Energy.

Immediately, thunderous rumbles shook the ground as Yu Zi Yu’s roots started spreading, and his main body began to grow bigger and taller with every passing moment.

In just a few breaths, a Giant Tree, large enough to cover several cities, appeared before everyone’s eyes.

“Is that the King that suddenly arrived in the desert?”

“Are you kidding me? Is there really an entity this massive?”

…

Mutant Beasts broke into exclamations, looking at Yu Zi Yu in shock. They really couldn’t digest that such a massive Tree could even exist.

From a distance, it looked like a shadow covering the sky. What was even more exaggerated was its countless branches that stretched across the sky like divine chains.

However, amidst the deep shock, some Mutant Beasts seemed to realize something, and a sense of understanding appeared in their eyes as they looked at Yu Zi Yu.

“So, it’s him.”

[It must be him. Who else but the infamous Tree Monster, hailed as the ‘Fiercest Transcendent’ on the distant continent could have such means to suppress so many Mutant Beast Kings?]

However, no one expected this terrifying being from another continent to cross the ocean and descend here.

With all kinds of thoughts racing in their minds, the Mutant Beasts immediately retreated to their respective territories.

Now, their only hope was that this monster would not leave the desert.

And indeed, Yu Zi Yu, following their wishes. He did not leave the desert. For now, he needed to consolidate his gains rather than conquer.

“System, I want to enhance the ability ‘Mastery of Mist.ʼ”

“Confirm,” Yu Zi Yu promptly agreed, nodding slightly.

20 million Evolution Points was quite a huge amount to him before, but now, it was not a significant amount.

If 20 million Evolution Points could increase his power by even 1-2 %, it would be worth it.

Right at that moment…

*Booooom…* With a tremendous rumble, Yu Zi Yu’s body began to tremble slightly as an indescribable power emerged from deep within.

“Mist… ever-changing and colorful.”

“…there’s poisonous mist, ice mist…”

…

A profound understanding of mist mysteriously appeared in Yu Zi Yu’s mind. It was a deeper comprehension of mist, opening another door for Yu Zi Yu.

*Booooom…* With a thunderous clap, Yu Zi Yu felt a ripple in his usually calm Grand Divine Ability — Nine Realms of Heaven.

If one looked at Yu Zi Yu now, they would see seven vortexes rising around him. Each vortex swirled with different colors, each radiating its unique power.

At that moment, a separate vortex began to rise apart from the seven existing ones.

This new vortex started very small, only the size of a fist. However, as Yu Zi Yu’s understanding of the ‘mist’ deepened, this vortex gradually expanded.

Faintly, a gray, foggy space began to emerge In the background of the vortex.

This was the Eighth Space Pocket of the Nine Realms of Heaven— the Pocket of Mist.

It was mysterious and eerie, and possessed a power distinct from the other Space Pockets.

Yu Zi Yu knew this because he noticed it on his status screen.

Immortal Mist Beast (Level 5): Using the Pocket of Mist as a vessel, you can nurture powerful beings that are immortal and indestructible (Mist Beasts).
Staring at it in amazement, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t believe that the trick he played with in his early days had become a reality.

“Mist Beasts, huh…” Murmuring, Yu Zi Yu looked at the countless willow leaves around him that were releasing wisps of white mist.

These white mists were ethereal like Souls, constantly changing shapes.

In just a moment, to Yu Zi Yu’s surprise, clear silhouettes began to emerge.

Among these silhouettes, the shape of Kangaroo was the clearest.

“What is this?” Astonished, Yu Zi Yu looked around.

In the next moment, a faint glow rose from the countless cold bodies of Mutant Kangaroos around him, converging and intertwining with the white mist.

*Grrrrr, grrrrr, grrrrr…* Jumping one after another, Yu Zi Yu noticed the mist-formed Kangaroos starting to develop expressions, as if they had gained life.

However, before Yu Zi Yu could react, they began to fight.

As they ram into each other, the weaker ones become food, while the stronger ones grow larger.

It was like raising Gu.

In just a few breaths, the most distinct mist-formed Kangaroo appeared before Yu Zi Yu’s eyes.

Its body woven from mist was vivid and lifelike. It had a strong physique, with a tail several meters long trailing behind it. Furthermore, its scarlet eyes glinted slightly.

“The fusion of Remnant Souls and my mist gave birth to a new life — the Immortal Mist Beast, huh?” Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but murmur as he began to grasp the nature of this new Life Form.
