Meanwhile, just after Yu Zi Yu broke through to Tier-5, unbeknownst to him, on a planet at the center of the universe, a Towering Tree was standing tall.

This was a humongous Divine Tree. Compared to Yu Zi Yu, it was still a giant among giants.

If Yu Zi Yu’s trunk was only 100 meters thick, then its trunk was thousands, or even tens of thousands of meters thick.

Whereas its canopy disappeared into the depths of the universe, beyond the reach of mortals.

This Tree, from afar, resembled an Ox, and had four different colors flowing across its body. It was radiating an inexplicable majesty, just like the might of Heaven. Just a glance at it would make one’s heart tremble.

It was Jianmu, the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu.

Blessed by the Consciousness of Cosmic Source, it was as majestic as Heaven, and as vast as the ocean, something beyond anyone’s estimation.

At this moment, one of the green leaves on this Jianmu flickered with a faint glow. Upon closer inspection, the scene of a Towering Stone Tree crossing Tribulation was playing on it.

The images were somewhat blurry, as if it was difficult to capture, but after a moment, the image momentarily paused as a clear phrase replaced it: Immortal Tree, Tier-5 Life Form.

There wasn’t any further description, just these simple words.

However, if Yu Zi Yu were to see them, he would surely understand why the strong experts of myriad races would eliminate the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu as soon as it sprouted.

Every strong expert had secrets, and the leaves of the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu could capture their information when they were crossing Tribulations, accurately determining their cultivation level.

What did that mean? It didn’t need further explanation.

No wonder the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu was hailed as the ‘spokesperson of Heaven’ and even as the ‘eyes of Heaven in the world.’

There was some truth to it.

At this moment, if one looked at the green leaves, they would see scenes of various strange and powerful individuals crossing Tribulations appearing one after another. However, compared to Yu Zi Yu’s blurry images, theirs were undoubtedly much clearer.

One could even see the tense and excited expressions on each Transcendent’s face.

“So this is the Immortal Tree that first refused the inheritance…” A voice carrying a hint of indescribable vicissitudes suddenly reverberated in the starry sky.

Then, the green leaf bearing the name ‘Yu Zi Yu’ also slowly floated up.

In no time, it was hovering deep in the starry sky.

“I owe you a karmic debt… Today… I shall repay it…” With a sigh, that green leaf hovering in the depths of the starry sky gradually shattered, until it reduced into powder and gradually dissipated.

…

At the same time, Yu Zi Yu, who was in the depths of the Void Space, also felt a slight shock.

For some reason, he suddenly felt invigorated. An inexplicable comfort rose from the depths of his heart.

At this moment, if Yu Zi Yu could see the so-called ‘Fate’, he would surely see an invisible thread tightly entwined around him, now completely severed.

That was the Thread of Fate, an extremely scary thing.

With great power, one could use this thread to calculate the past and present, even thoroughly understand one’s roots.

But now, the Thread of Fate entwining Yu Zi Yu had severed just like that.

This was the greatest compensation the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu could make within the permission of the Consciousness of Cosmic Source.

With Yu Zi Yu’s Thread of Fate severed, his Heavenly Secrets would be in complete chaos from now on, becoming unpredictable and incalculable.

After all, ‘Time is King, Space is the Ruler, Fate is Unspeakable, and Karma is Supreme’.

If someone had mastered the supreme power of Karma, or even Fate, even if one was strongest, he could kill them by following one’s Fate.

Adding more to the dread, some Divine Abilities could even even cross the River of Time and kill one’s past. As such, even if one had a myriad of tricks, they still could not escape death.

But now, the Thread of Fate entwining Yu Zi Yu had been severed. It could be imagined what a great blessing this was for him.

Compared to the miniscule trace of the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu’s Quintessence, it was tens, even hundreds of times more precious.

It was a truly rare opportunity that could not be sought after.

Of course, Yu Zi Yu could not realize this at this moment. Furthermore, this was not just the decision of Heaven-Connecting Jianmu alone.

After all, without the tacit approval of the Consciousness of Cosmic Source, it would not dare to do so.

Now, there was only one possibility left. The Consciousness of Cosmic Source might have sensed Yu Zi Yu’s intention to approach the Void Clan.

The Void Clan was a unique race to this era, and the Clan chosen by Heaven to be the true masters of this universe.

However, the myriad races all have their own inheritances. They had been surviving through the cyclic destruction of the universe, and had been seizing the universe again and again.

Naturally, this had not gone unnoticed to the Consciousness of Cosmic Source – the highest existence in this universe.

But despite noticing, it couldn’t do anything about it. All it could do was to provide better protection for the Void Clan.

At this moment, probably detecting Yu Zi Yu’s intention to approach the Void Clan, the Consciousness of Cosmic Source might have tacitly allowed the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu to sever Yu Zi Yu’s Thread of Fate. This way, even if Yu Zi Yu were to become an enemy of the myriad races in the future, the Great Sages among the myriad races would not be able to deduce his identity or roots.

In other words, this was another kind of protection the universe provided for Yu Zi Yu.

Of course, the reason why the Consciousness of Cosmic Source might have sensed Yu Zi Yu’s approach to the Void Clan was probably because, after Zi Lian stepped into Tier-4 and became the Ninth King of the Void Clan, he immediately knelt before Yu Zi Yu and acknowledged allegiance.

As the Ninth King of the Void Clan, everything about him would be under the attention of the Consciousness of Cosmic Source. As such, it would not be difficult for the Consciousness of Cosmic Source to detect Yu Zi Yu’s proximity to the Void Clan.

If Yu Zi Yu came to know about this, he would probably wake up laughing in his dreams.

Unfortunately, Yu Zi Yu could not have known of this at the moment.

Although he was still quite strong, in the face of the game between the myriad races and the Consciousness of Cosmic Source, he was still too insignificant.

Right now, all he could do was to become stronger, and even stronger, until one day, he could touch the deepest secrets of this universe.

…

*Haaaa…* Taking a deep breath, Yu Zi Yu did not know why he suddenly felt refreshed. But he was sure of one thing: something good had happened again.

After all, an existence like him had a special sense.

“Could it be that Ling Er has broken through?” After thinking about it, Yu Zi Yu guessed with keen interest.

[Only the breakthrough of a very intimate existence would make me have such a feeling out of nowhere.] With this thought in mind, the slender figure sitting on the canopy of Yu Zi Yu’s main body lifted its feet and started walking towards the exit of the Void Crack with heavy footsteps.
