His gaze bypassed the screaming bodies, the rabid Blood Hounds tearing apart Coalition warriors, Coalition Layer 4 powerhouses chasing after them, and the clashing spirit manifestations of Thauren and Thorne.

A few hundred yards away, near the edge of the limestone gorge where he sat after suffering from side effects of Golden Domain, a long, sapphire shape remained embedded deep into the white bedrock.

It was his primary weapon... the Dreadwing... dropped when he suffered from the side effects of fully unleashing Golden Domain in fury and Vane attacked him.

A cold smirk stretched across Sol’s face.

”There you are,” Sol whispered softly.

Instead of striking Bruga’s again, and without a single word of warning, Sol deactivated the Badger’s anchor weight and engaged the Dreadwing’s maximum air-burst acceleration. His back erupted with golden essence, launching him into a low-altitude, horizontal bullet-dash straight toward the embedded Dreadwing!

Bruga, his eyes burning with great, murderous humiliation, saw Sol turning away.

”YOU WANT TO RUN NOW?! YOU THINK YOU CAN ESCAPE ME AFTER THIS?!” Bruga roared, his voice shaking the ground.

Driven by extreme humiliation and rage, the giant unleashed every drop of his Layer 4 essence into his legs!

BOOM!

Bruga leaped almost fifty feet into the air, his massive twenty-foot frame blotting out the sky as he pulled his seven-foot bone club over his head with both hands.

The heavy weapon absorbed the surrounding atmospheric essence, swelling with a dense, slate-grey aura of compressed air until it looked like a falling asteroid descending straight upon Sol’s trajectory!

”GROUND-SPLITTING COLLAPSE!” Bruga screamed from above, his voice booming like thunder.

The falling titan and his colossal club were coming down directly over the embedded Dreadwing blade, threatening to obliterate the entire sixty-yard sector into a crater of crushed stone before Sol could even touch the hilt!

Sol didn’t slow down, nor die he alter his course by a single inch.

”Try to keep up, fat man,” Sol sneered.

As the massive, mountain-sized shadow of Bruga fell from the sky directly above him, Sol dropped low.

He didn’t try to stop his forward momentum; instead, he executed a high-speed knee-slide across the blood-slicked limestone ground, passing directly underneath the trajectory of the falling titan!

Right as his sliding body reached the embedded blade, Sol reached out with his bare right hand, wrapping his fingers tightly around the familiar hilt of the Dreadwing blade!

CLASP!

The moment his flesh touched the weapon, the dreadwing resonance within the sapphire blade ignited, reacting violently to the spirit of Dreadwing residing in Sol’s body.

Without losing a single fraction of his forward momentum, Sol yanked the massive weapon cleanly out of the bedrock in a single, fluid motion.

SCHWING!

He didn’t stop. Using the heavy, rotational momentum of the pulled blade, Sol spun his entire body on his right heel, bringing the blade around in a full 360-degree arc as he banked hard.

Grand Chieftain Bruga was already upon him, bringing his seven-foot bone club down in a two-handed, mountain-crushing overhead strike designed to pancake Sol into the earth once and for all.

”DIE ONCE AND FOR ALL!” Bruga screamed.

BOOM-CRASH!

Behind him, Bruga’s colossal bone club slammed into the bedrock right where Sol had been sliding a millisecond prior.

The ground erupted in a catastrophic explosion of pulverized rock, shockwaves, and flying stone spires that sent nearby Coalition soldiers screaming into the air.

The massive upward force of the bedrock explosion blasted straight into Sol’s path.

Instead of fighting the shockwave, Sol used his wit and speed. He engaged the Dreadwing Wings, riding the rising thermal air-currents and exploding debris straight up into the air!

Mid-air, twenty feet above the shattered ground, Sol completed his spin.

The sapphire blade of the Dreadwing blade hummed with a terrifying fusion of both spirits... the stubborn, crushing density of the Great Badger coating the flat of the blade, and the razor-sharp, vacuum-cutting wind of the Dreadwing wrapping around the edge!

Bruga, coughing through the thick cloud of pulverized chalk dust he had created with his own smash, looked up just in time to see Sol descending straight upon him through the airborne debris like an executioner god!

”WHAT?!” Bruga gasped, his breath catching in his massive throat.

”TAKE IT ALL!” Sol roared, his raspy voice cutting through the roar of battle.

Mid-air, Sol brought the now heavy Dreadwing blade down in a two-handed, catastrophic overhead cleave powered by gravity, rotational momentum, and the absolute weight of his dual spirits!

CLEAVE!

This time, there was no superficial resistance. There was only a sickening, heavy CRUNCH as the blade bit deep!

The blade sheared cleanly through Bruga’s dense, slate-grey essence leather, slicing deep through his left collarbone, chopping straight down through muscle, lung tissue, and ribs, and coming to a hard stop deep inside the titan’s chest cavity!

”AAAAAAAGGGHH!”

Grand Chieftain Bruga, the titan of the Gray Marauders let out an agonizing, soul-shredding shriek that echoed across the entire battlefield!

The impact of the Dreadwing blade strike was so immense that it forced the giant’s massive twenty-foot frame to its knees, the weight of the blow sinking Bruga’s left knee three feet deep into the cracked slate bedrock!

Thick and dark blood, steaming with Layer 4 physical heat... gushed from the giant’s chest like a broken dam, soaking the limestone floor in a hot, dark pool.

The entire battlefield fell into an absolute, dead quiet.

The remaining Coalition warriors, the Zharun Chief, and Chief Vane stood frozen in place, their weapons trembling in their hands, their faces completely drained of color as they stared at their Grand Chieftain lying bleeding in the dirt.

Sol landed lightly on his boots right in front of the kneeling titan, his left boot resting firmly against Bruga’s massive sternum.

With a cold twist of his wrists, Sol wrenched the heavy Greatblade sideways inside the giant’s chest cavity before ripping the sapphire blade cleanly out of the wound in a spray of gore!

SQUELCH-RIP!

Bruga tottered, clutching his ruined chest with his right hand, his breathing coming in ragged, wet, blood-choked gasps.

Sol casually removed the Dreadwing blade from his chest cavity, his neon-crimson eyes flared with a cold, ruthless, and deeply predatory light that held not a single shred of mercy.

”Is this.....” Sol whispered, his voice echoing quietly over the stunned, quieted battlefield as the giant knelt before him. ”how you were going to crush me?”
