Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1799: Converstation With Ancient Demons

Zhen Yin shook her head and patronized Zhang Fei. ”Everyone, including us, also wants a peaceful life. However, this universe is full of dangers and two-faced people, so you shouldn’t think that all your women can live peacefully for long. To prevent the unexpected, you must prepare them well so they can protect themselves when you are not by their side.”

”Do you know the most dangerous enemy, kid?” Zhen Mo asked.

”Who?”

”Our people.” Zhang Fei wanted to refute that, but Zhen Mo stopped him and continued. ”I have the ability to read people’s hearts and souls, just like you, so I’m always relaxed when I’m around my people. However, living creatures are always fickle, and we can’t possibly monitor them every day.”

”You mean?”

”Yes,” Zhen Mo nodded and continued. ”My wife and I ended up in this place because our trusted people betrayed us, including our children. We didn’t know they were in cahoots with the ancestors of the other races, and it was too late when we realized it. However, they were too conceited, and they trusted those people too much. After those people succeeded in weakening and capturing us, they turned back on their words, and they killed them in front of us.”

Zhen Yin spoke again. ”People always say that the demon race is evil and ruthless, but in reality, people from other races are far more wicked and ruthless than us, especially those humans. Compared to other races, humans are the most cunning and greedy living creatures, and they will do anything to realize their ambitions, including sacrificing other people.”

”I can’t argue with you,” Zhang Fei sighed. ”Back to our previous discussion, so the past war occurred because of the betrayal of your trusted people and children, right?”

”Not really.” Zhen Mo shook his head. ”In the past, the other races already hated our demon race, and they tried to eradicate us to no avail. I don’t know how they did it back then, but the situation turned around after our people betrayed us. At that time, they managed to weaken and capture us, but we also caused them serious injuries, and they sacrificed their lives to imprison us in this place.”

”Actually, one of my wives already told me about your war with the ancestors of the other races, and she also told me that you two are still alive in this place.” Zhen Mo and Zhen Yin exchanged confused glances because Zhang Fei was still too young, and they felt that his wife was as young as him, so she couldn’t possibly know about the past war. ”However, she didn’t tell me the details, including the betrayal of your trusted people and children.”

Huo Ling, who was sitting on Zhang Fei’s shoulder, immediately spoke. ”My master knows about this matter, husband. She didn’t tell you the details because she wanted you to find out the truth yourself, and you’ve already found out the truth now.”

”Huh?” Zhen Mo and Zhen Yin stared at Huo Ling in shock. ”Is her master really your wife, kid?”

”Humph! Do you two think I’m making up stories? My master is Guang Zhiyi, and she is my husband’s wife.” Huo Ling suddenly realized something. ”Forget it! You two don’t know my master’s name because she was reincarnated in this realm after you were imprisoned in this place!”

Zhen Mo and Zhen Yin took a deep breath, thinking about something based on Huo Ling’s words. The woman in front of them was the spirit of the Primordial Flame, and the ancients knew nothing about the flame. The two of them had information about it for some reason, which meant her master was a higher living being than the ancients.

”Is your master a primordial being like the primordial demon?”

”Heh!” Huo Ling snorted in mockery. ”My master is indeed a primordial being, but don’t compare her to that weak primordial demon, who died at the hands of the two primordial beasts!”

Zhen Mo and Zhen Yin smiled bitterly, as they didn’t understand why Huo Ling seemed to hate them so much, and she kept her overbearing nature in front of them. They didn’t know that she was vengeful, and they had previously called Zhang Fei a weakling, which made her hostile and condescending towards them.

Zhen Yin ignored Huo Ling and spoke to Zhang Fei again. ”As we said before, you can’t let your wives relax too much, or they won’t be prepared if an unexpected situation arises. You have to guide them to become strong and skilled at fighting, and they can help you face future problems.”

”However,” Zhen Mo looked at the nine female demons. ”However, you can’t trust them completely, and you must prepare countermeasures against them, or else you will suffer the same fate as us.”

Janette, Balena, Ilsath, Orith, Zilvora, Eve, Fyr, Angela, and Yan Zhixiu glared at Zhen Mo while frowning. However, they didn’t dare to say anything because he was too strong for them, and they had complete trust in Zhang Fei.

”I understand what you mean, but I trust all my wives.” Zhen Mo and Zhen Lin felt helpless after Zhang Fei said that. ”Even though I completely trust them, I have prepared several precautions. If they dare betray me, I will kill them with myself. Honestly, I want to free you two from this place, and I want you to follow me. Unfortunately, there is great danger out there, so I can’t do that right now.”

”What do you mean by a great danger? Are the other races still hunting the demon race?”

”Tch! Even though a long time has passed, those despicable people never change!”

”Haha,” Zhang Fei laughed. ”In fact, all the races are standing on their own now, and they have problems with each other. However, I am not referring to the races; instead, I am talking about other creatures that are much more powerful than all of them.”

”What creatures?”

Zhang Fei created a qi screen that displayed those shadowy creatures, causing Zhen Mo and Zhen Lin to frown. ”Those creatures, especially their leader, are far more powerful than all races.”

Zhen Mo and Zhen Lin were seriously watching the qi screen, but they were shocked after seeing the leader of those creatures manage to destroy a domain using a small attack.

Zhang Fei continued. ”They are too powerful; even Ling’er has difficulty eliminating them. Currently, they have invaded various domains in this Ancient Realm, and they once tried to invade this domain, but the demons in this domain managed to repel them and set up a barrier.”

”Oh?” Zhen Mo and Zhen Yin were surprised to hear that. ”Do the demon races really live in this domain now? As I recall, this domain used to be empty, and those people built this place to imprison us.”

Zhang Fei changed the image on the qi screen, which now showed the situation in the Myriad Abyss Domain. ”As you two can see, many demon races live in this domain now, and they are led by several demon gods. However, none of them know of this place due to the barrier that surrounds it, so you two have never encountered them.”

”Haish!” Zhen Mo sighed softly. ”It doesn’t matter if they don’t know about us, but I’m glad to know that the demon race is thriving now.”

Zhen Yin nodded in agreement. ”Are you serious about freeing us from this place, kid?”

”Yes,” Zhang Fei nodded seriously. ”I need the help of many people to protect my people in the future, including the demon races. Thus, I was thinking of freeing you two from this place, and you can help me protect them. By the way, the people by my side are not only the demon race but also the other races, and they live in harmony.”

”Huh? Are you serious about that?”

”How can all races live in harmony?”

Zhang Fei displayed all the situations in the Moonlit Passion Temple, which astonished them. ”See? That place is my sect, and all races gather together in harmony there. They are in the Paradise Realm now, but I will bring them to this Ancient Realm in the future, and I need powerful guardians to protect them.”

Zhen Mo and Zhen Yin exchanged glances for a moment.

”If you can free us from this place, we will join you, and we will protect them.”

”We have been imprisoned in this place for too long, and we no longer care about other matters. If you can free us, we will retire and enjoy the rest of our lives in your domain.”

”We will discuss that matter in the future.” Zhang Fei sent the nine female demons back to the Yin-Yang Space. ”For now, I don’t have the power to stop those creatures, but I will get rid of them in the future. By the way, I have to go now because I have to search for demon materials for all my wives, but I will see you two from time to time.”

Zhen Mo and Zhen Yin watched Zhang Fei walk away thoughtfully.

”Husband, that kid is truly unique, and he still has many secrets.”

”Yes,” Zhen Mo nodded in agreement. ”Since one of his wives is a primordial being and the other is the spirit of the Primordial Flame, I’m confident that he will be able to free us from this place. Much time has passed, and this universe should have changed a lot. Although I still hate those races, I don’t want to think about them anymore, and I want to live a peaceful life with you.”

”Hahaha,” Zhen Yin laughed. ”I can’t wait for that day to come.”

”Me too.”
