Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1780: Killing Yan Tianling

*Boom*

A huge explosion erupted, and Yan Washeng stood in the center of the crater. However, his attack was ineffective because Zhang Fei and the others had already moved to another area.

Yan Washeng looked at Zhang Fei and the others, wondering how they could move so quickly.

”Father! Save me!” Yan Tianling screamed desperately, blood continuously pouring out of his eye sockets, and his body trembling uncontrollably.

”Tsk... Tsk...” Zhang Fei pressed his sword against Yan Tianling’s back. ”Such a stupid and cowardly prince! You can’t even do anything without your father, but you dare to covet my wives. Do you think all my wives are cheap public commodities?”

”Spare... spare me... please let me live!” Yan Tianling begged Zhang Fei fearfully.

”Heh!” Zhang Fei snorted. ”Why should I spare your life? We didn’t know each other before, but you want to kill me and capture all my wives! A man must be responsible for his actions, and you must bear the consequences for your stupidity!”

”Don’t you dare!”

Yan Washeng roared as he flew towards Zhang Fei, but flame arrows suddenly shot out towards him. He immediately activated his defense, creating a crimson sphere that enveloped his body to block them.

Yan Washeng misjudged because those flame arrows easily broke his defense before penetrating his body.

”Gah!”

Yan Washeng rolled in the air several times before landing on his two feet; several small holes appeared on his body due to those flame arrows, and reddish-black blood flowed out of them.

The demons who were in the area gasped in shock after seeing Yan Washeng’s condition. He was one of the most arrogant demon gods, and his son often took advantage of his status to do as he pleased. They have long wanted the father and son to die, and they feel their hope will come true soon. Subconsciously, they started cheering excitedly, hoping that Zhang Fei would kill them immediately.

Hearing the excited cheers of the other demons, Mo Cangyue, who was previously afraid of Yan Washeng, cheered with them.

Yuan Xiajie felt helpless when she saw Mo Cangyue become excited like that. ”Sister Cangyue, you are really childish.”

”Haha,” Mo Cangyue softly laughed. ”I have never seen Yan Washeng so scared before! He’s really scared of Zhang Fei now.”

Yuan Xiajie shook her head without saying anything, but a faint smile appeared on her face when she looked at Yan Washeng.

”Hah... Hah... Who exactly are you?” Yan Washeng asked warily; he didn’t expect that Zhang Fei could break his defense so easily.

”My identity is not important! What’s important is that you and your sons are lusting over my wife, and I will never spare anyone who sets their eyes on them.”

After Zhang Fei said that, he used his two absorbing abilities on Yan Tianling, causing him to scream in pain. ”Argh! Father! Save me!”

”Bastard!” Yan Washeng released his full strength and prepared to attack Zhang Fei, but a pressure far stronger than his own suddenly pressed down on him from above, forcing him to fall to his knees. ”Impossible! How—”

”What’s impossible?” Yan Washeng’s eyes widened as he looked at Huo Ling, who had just emerged from Zhang Fei’s body. ”In my eyes, a demon god like you is no different from an ant. Unfortunately, my husband forbids me from killing you, so I’ll suppress you for now, and you can witness the death of your idiot son with your own eyes.”

”Please... please let go of my son; I will do anything for you,” Yan Washeng begged Zhang Fei.

Huo Ling looked at Zhang Fei. ”Are you really going to kill this foolish demon god?”

”At first, I thought about killing him, but I changed my mind.” Mo Cangyue looked at Zhang Fei and wanted to say something to him, but Yuan Xiajie immediately covered her mouth with her hand. ”There are still several other demon gods trying to overthrow Mo Qingwen, so I think it would be better if I let him live, and I can use him to do something to them. Moreover, I can go to the Frozen Yin Domain whenever I want, and I can use those yin demons to increase my strength.”

”That’s true.” Huo Ling nodded in agreement. ”Even though most of those yin demons haven’t reached the Celestial God Realm, their yin qi is quite abundant compared to other female demons, so I think they are enough to help you. Do you want me to do it?”

”No need,” Zhang Fei refused. ”For now, you just need to suppress him, and I will do it myself after I kill his son.”

Yan Washeng’s face turned pale after hearing that. He couldn’t possibly let his son die in Zhang Fei’s hands. He gritted his teeth and used his last resort straight away. His aura instantly exploded, and his flames spread throughout the area.

”You—” Yan Washeng was shocked as his flames disappeared and an even stronger pressure restricted his movements. ”Impossible! I’ve already used my last resort, but I’m still powerless.”

”Humph!” Huo Ling snorted disdainfully. ”You’re just a frog in a well who doesn’t know the vastness and depth of the universe! Your flame? Heh! Do you think your meager flames can compare to my Eternal Flame?”

Yan Washeng was even more shocked to hear that from Huo Ling. As a native of the Ancient Realm, he naturally knew about the Eternal Flame, but the flame had disappeared for so long, and no one had managed to find its whereabouts.

Huo Ling deliberately mentioned the Eternal Flame because people in the Ancient Realm didn’t know about the Primordial Flame, and Yan Washeng’s reaction was just as she expected.

Huo Ling stretched her right hand forward, and the small primordial flame appeared in her palm. ”In front of my flame, other flames must submit, so you will never be able to use your abilities.”

Seeing the primordial flame in Huo Ling’s palm made Yan Washeng feel deep regret. If only he hadn’t been tempted by those female demons, he and his son would never have suffered such a terrible fate. He never imagined that the young lust demon he had underestimated would possess such unfathomable strength, and he also possessed the spirit of the Eternal Flame by his side. ”If only I had listened to Old Zuo and left this place, I wouldn’t have suffered this fate today.”

”Regret always comes last!” Huo Ling pulled Yan Washeng towards her and forced him to kneel in front of Zhang Fei. ”You should just keep quiet and watch your son die at my husband’s hands.”

No parent could bear to witness the death of their child, including Yan Washeng. Seeing Yan Tianling’s expression and screams of pain, he closed both his eyes. ”Please forgive me, Son. I am a useless father; I am powerless to save you.”

Even though she hated Yan Washeng because he planned to kill her father, Mo Cangyue felt pity for him when she saw his tears. Despite this, she didn’t stop Zhang Fei from killing Yan Tianling because he had disturbed her life for too long, and his death would make her life much more peaceful.

Yuan Xiajie breathed a sigh of relief as the final result matched her predictions. From the beginning, she had hoped that Zhang Fei wouldn’t kill Yan Washeng, as he would be useful for other purposes. But she didn’t say anything to him and let him decide for himself.

Above, Huli Chenying propped her chin on her hands, swinging her legs. ”As you’d expect from Zhang Fei, Master. He didn’t spare Yan Tianling, but he didn’t intend to kill Yan Washeng.”

”Yes,” Xuanyuan Yue nodded with a smile. ”Yan Tianling is useless to Zhang Fei because he can only rely on his father, so he didn’t hesitate to kill him. On the contrary, Yan Washeng is a demon god; he also initiated a plan to rebel and kill Mo Qingwen.”

”Even so, Zhang Fei didn’t do that for Mo Qingwen, and he did everything for the safety of all his wives, right?”

Xuanyuan Yue had been observing Zhang Fei since day one, so she was familiar with his character, and his character was similar to her father’s. Even though both of them were unfaithful and had too many wives, they were very loving and protective of them.

Huli Chenying looked at her master’s smile. ”Have you decided to meet Zhang Fei in person, Master? Your smile is different when you look at him, and you look like an infatuated woman.”

”Let’s wait and observe the situation for now, Sister Chenying.”

Huli Chenying sighed. ”Master, your mother is much braver than you, you know? Everyone knows that she’s a reserved and cold woman, but she becomes a different woman whenever she’s in front of your father, and she never hesitates to show her love for him. If you continue to be passive and indecisive like this, you will never find your true happiness, and you will live alone for the rest of your life.”

”Don’t I have you by my side, Sister Chenying? You will never leave me, right?”

Huli Chenying was helpless. ”I’m your contract beast, so I can’t possibly leave you. It’s just that you’ve been searching for your true happiness for a long time, and Zhang Fei is right in front of you now, so you shouldn’t waste your chance and go meet him now.”

Xuanyuan Yue didn’t say anything to reply or refute Huli Chenying, and her gaze solely focused on Zhang Fei and those demons.

Huli Chenying inwardly sighed because her master was too timid when it came to romance. She immediately jumped down, causing Xuanyuan Yue to frown. ”Since you don’t want to see Zhang Fei, I’ll go see him myself, Master.”
