Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1775: Enemies Appear

Since Mo Qingwen had already said so, Gu Yanshu didn’t press the issue and changed the subject. ”What about those people? Who decided to side with Yan Washeng?”

”Gongsun Zhilan, Gui Ye, Chang Moyu, Zuo Hentian, and Hou Wuyan have decided to join Yan Washeng.” Gu Yanshu was surprised to hear the last two names; she didn’t expect that they would join the enemy’s side. ”Hou Wuyan hasn’t made a decision yet, but the other four have already decided to join that bastard.”

Gu Yanshu nodded slightly. ”I’m not surprised that Gongsun Zhilan chose to become our enemy, but I don’t understand the reason behind Huo Wuyan’s decision. He’s an ingrate because he became a demon god thanks to your help, but he chose to become your enemy after he achieved success.”

”Forget it,” Mo Qingwen sighed. ”Even if the five of them join forces, I’m confident in defeating them, so you don’t need to worry too much about this matter. Did our daughter tell you anything else?”

”She wants to follow Zhang Fei to the Myriad Abyss Demon Dungeon, but I don’t know if they’ve arrived there yet.”

Mo Qingwen nodded in understanding. ”I want to go see Zhang Fei, but I won’t do it now; otherwise, he’ll get involved in trouble in our domain. After I take care of them, I’ll go see him at Hua Qianmei’s palace.”

”Alright.” Even though Zhang Fei had Feng Yao by his side, Gu Yanshu didn’t want him to get involved in the unrest in their domain.

In the Crimson Demon Palace.

Yan Washeng sat together with the other four demon gods, discussing several matters regarding Mo Qingwen and Gu Yanshu.

”I don’t need anything else, and I only want Mo Qingwen.” Gongsun Zhilan looked at the others. ”After we dethrone him, you guys can decide for yourselves who our next leader will be, and I don’t care about that.”

”Hehehe,” Gui Ye laughed eerily. ”I don’t understand why you’re so obsessed with Mo Qingwen, Zhilan. All of us here are no less handsome and strong than him, but—”

”Do you think you’re handsome, dead ghost?” Gongsun Zhilan asked disdainfully. ”Look at you! You don’t look like a living being or a ghost; only those dead ghosts think you’re handsome! As for strength, you can’t even defeat me, so you should stop dreaming of defeating Mo Qingwen.”

”Humph!” Gui Ye snorted in response. ’Once we’re done with Mo Qingwen, I’ll kill you and absorb your demon essence!’

*Clap... Clap...*

”Hahaha,” Chang Moyu laughed as he clapped his hands. ”Old Ghost! You already know that Gongsun Zhilan has a venomous tongue, just like her title, so you’ll never win an argument with her!”

”Humph!” Gui Ye snorted again.

Chang Moyu looked at Yan Washeng, who seemed lost in his own thoughts. ”What are you thinking, Old Yan?”

”Have you guys ever heard or seen a nine-tailed lust demon?” Gongsun Zhilan and the others looked at Yan Washeng with mocking and questioning looks. ”My eldest son previously contacted me, and he told me that he met with a nine-tailed male lust demon in the dungeon. I know that a lust demon can modify every part of his body, but he was so sure that his tails were real. Besides, that male lust demon seems to have a good relationship with Mo Qingwen and Hua Qianmei, especially since Yuan Xiajie and Mo Cangyue went with him to the dungeon.”

The expressions of Gongsun Zhilan and the others changed after Yan Washeng mentioned the names Yuan Xiajie and Mo Cangyue.

They knew that Mo Cangyue was a lily, and she had never wanted to be close to any man before, so the news was quite a shock to them. They knew that Yuan Xiajie was Hua Qianmei’s adopted sister, but she had been missing for quite some time, so they didn’t expect her to return so suddenly.

”Forget it.” Gui Ye rose from his seat. ”I don’t want to waste my time with those weak demons! Moreover, we don’t have any evidence regarding that nine-tailed lust demon yet, so I’ll return to my palace now.”

”I’m going back to my palace, and you guys should contact me when it’s time for us to make a move on Mo Qingwen.”

Without waiting for the others’ reply, Gui Ye and Chang Moyu disappeared from the place, leaving the other three behind.”

”Do you want to join me and Old Zuo in the dungeon, Zhilan?” Yan Washeng asked.

Gongsun Zhilan tapped her slender fingers against the arm of her chair in thought. ”I’m curious about that nine-tailed lust demon, but I still have other matters at hand, so I’ll wait for your information regarding him. I know you want to capture Mo Cangyue to use against Mo Qingwen, but I advise you not to touch Yuan Xiajie, or you’ll incur Hua Qianmei’s wrath.”

”Are you that afraid of Hua Qianmei?”

Gongsun Zhilan looked at Zuo Hentian with disdain. ”You underestimate Hua Qianmei too much, Old Zuo. Do you still not understand why the other demon gods don’t want to mess with her? She earned the nickname of Bewitching Demon God for a reason, you know? Your strength is higher than hers, but you are not immune to her abilities. Once you fall under her influence, you will never be able to extricate yourself, and you will be completely obedient to her.”

”I agree with her, Old Zuo,” Yan Washeng sighed. ”Long ago, I tried to get close to Hua Qianmei, but I didn’t realize that I had already fallen under her abilities. By the time she freed me from her techniques, a hundred years had already passed, and I’ve been avoiding her ever since. Thus, you should never underestimate her; otherwise, you would suffer a fate like me.”

”The only demon god who can counter Hua Qianmei’s abilities is the Dream Demon God, Tang Zhiyao. She can do that because she never uses her real body outside, so her abilities have no effect on her.” After saying that, Gongsun Zhilan immediately stood up. ”You two can go to the dungeon now, and I’ll return to my palace to take care of something.”

After Gongsun Zhilan left, Yan Washeng and Zuo Hentian also left the place, and they rushed towards the Myriad Abyss Demon Dungeon.

”Hey, Old Yan! You’re hiding something from them on purpose, right?”

”Hahaha,” Yan Washeng laughed. ”My eldest son told me that there were four female demons on that nine-tailed male lust demon’s side. He also said that they were much more beautiful and sexier than Hua Qianmei and Tang Zhiyao. If I had told you about those women earlier, Old Gui and Old Chang would have come with us. If that had happened, we would have had no choice but to share the four women with them.”

”Are they really that pretty and sexy?” Zuo Hentian asked curiously.

Yan Washeng shrugged. ”My eldest son is weak, but his taste in women’s affairs is unquestionable. Based on his statement, I believe that the four women are indeed beautiful and sexy. However, I’m still confused about their identities, especially since he told me that they are demon gods like the two of us.”

”Hmm?” Zuo Hentian was surprised. ”If your eldest son is correct, they should have come from other demon domains. However, it’s been a long time since any other demons have come to our domain, and they shouldn’t have been able to enter our barrier.”

”That’s true.” Yan Washeng realized something. ”Could it be Yuan Xiajie who brought them to our domain? After all, they appeared at the same time, and they were together in the dungeon.”

”Perhaps your guess is correct, Old Yan. Was Hua Qianmei with them in the dungeon?”

”No.” Yan Washeng shook his head. ”The four women went into the dungeon with that male lust demon, Yuan Xiajie, and Mo Cangyue.”

Zuo Hentian nodded slightly. ”Since Hua Qianmei isn’t in the dungeon with them, we might be able to capture the four women. We must also capture Mo Cangyue today, or our plans against Mo Qingwen will face further delays. However, Yuan Xiajie’s presence with them will bring other troubles for us, but I’m hesitant to do anything about her.”

”We’ll think about that later, and we have to go to the dungeon quickly.” Yan Washeng and Zuo Hentian immediately increased their flying speed.

On the first floor of the Myriad Abyss Demon Dungeon, Huli Chenying and Xuanyuan Yue sat against the wall near the ceiling, with their eyes focused on Zhang Fei.

Huli Chenying and Xuanyuan Yue saw Zhang Fei create countless qi swords to kill the crowd of mindless demons there, forcing the other demons, including Yan Tianling and his three subordinates, to stay away from him.

Although Zhang Fei hadn’t activated the soul link, he had no difficulty killing the mindless demons because their strength was not much different from his. Besides, he also used his light and darkness elements together in his attacks, making it easier for him to kill them.

Huli Chenying propped her head on her knees. ”Master, he managed to combine the two elements; even your father couldn’t do that when he was his age.”

”That’s true.” Xuanyuan Xue nodded in agreement. ”According to Mother Xi, my father was quite slow to develop as a cultivator, and she had to constantly protect him at the beginning of his cultivation path. As for Zhang Fei, he had to rely on himself from the start, and he gained many allies after he went to the Sky Jade Realm. Although he had many allies, he did not depend on them, and he preferred to face his problems on his own.”

”Hehe,” Huli Chenying laughed. ”When it comes to their wives, your father and Zhang Fei are quite similar, Master. They are both reluctant to let their wives fight, and they try hard to deal with all their problems on their own.”
