Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1429: Showing Them His Memories

”They are the Primordial Nihility Beast and the Primordial Genesis Beast.” Tian Yaoqin, Tianshi Bailong, and Long Xukong were shocked again after Zhang Fei displayed images of the two primordial beasts, but they were only statues from the Era of the Beginning. ”I have never seen those two beasts with my own eyes, but those statues do depict them.”

”Where did you see them?”

”I can’t tell you anything about that place because I don’t know the exact location myself, and something pulled me there while I was trapped inside an unknown place several years before I ascended to this Paradise Realm.” Long Wuzhao, Tian Yaoqin, Tianshi Bailong, and Long Xukong looked at Zhang Fei. ”I didn’t lie to you guys because that place is mysterious, and I found many things there.”

’Show them everything you see in that place, except for the picture of the last room.’ Feng Yao spoke into Zhang Fei’s mind. ’No one will be able to go to that place, including me, so you don’t need to worry about that.’

Zhang Fei conjured several other qi, showing them the contents of each room from the Era of the Beginning. ”You guys can see those places for yourselves, but I can’t take you there because I arrived there by chance.”

Luo Yunxiao, Tianshi Shengjie, Long Wuzhao, Tian Yaoqin, Tianshi Bailong, and Long Xukong carefully watched all the races that appeared on those qi screens.

The beasts were shocked when they saw the statue of the ten-tailed fox in the center of the room, with the statues of all the mythical beast races lined up facing him.

”Believe it or not, the first living creatures that existed in this universe were beasts.” They looked at Zhang Fei in disbelief. ”The ten-tailed fox and the two primordial beasts lived in the same era, but Hu Tianlang was much stronger than them because he was born from Yin and Yang. Meanwhile, the Primordial Nihility Beast was a Yin beast, and the Primordial Genesis Beast was a Yang beast. Although both beasts were powerful and capable of destroying this universe, he was stronger than them. Apart from them, there were two other beasts born from Yin and Yang, and the two primordial beasts feared their existence, so they killed them. The two beasts were—”

”The Five-Clawed Golden Dragon was born from Yang, and the Calamity Demon Dragon was born from Yin.” Long Wuzhao spoke with a serious expression. ”I don’t know how to explain it to you all, but I obtained some unclear memories that I suspect came from the old golden dragons before me. That’s why I know more or less about those two primordial beasts, and I know that their power is terrifying.”

Zhang Fei nodded to him. ”Their strength is indeed terrifying, and this Paradise Realm will be destroyed if they send their avatars here. I’m sure they already know of your existence here from the four perils, but they haven’t come down here because they are still in a deep slumber.”

”Yes.” Long Wuzhao nodded to him.

”The Calamity Demon Dragon is—”

”We don’t need to discuss the Calamity Demon Dragon.” Long Wuzhao interrupted Long Xukong while glancing at Tian Yaoqin. ”That dragon has returned, but it has returned with a different character, and it is no longer as ferocious as in the past, so we don’t need to worry about it.”

Long Xukong nodded in understanding and asked again. ”What was the second living creature born in this universe?”

”The Primordial Demons.”

They looked at the qi screen that Zhang Fei was pointing at, where they saw the statue of a giant male demon with two long horns on his forehead, and his entire body was covered in a black robe. Below the male demon’s statue, there was a statue of a three-headed dog similar to a cerberus. However, the appearance of the statue was strange, and they felt that he was a combination of several types of demons.

They saw the seven demon statues, five of which were male demon statues, and the other two were female demon statues, all of which also had giant bodies.

Zhang Fei spoke to them. ”The male demon was a primordial demon, but he was killed by the two primordial beasts. They didn’t want to share this universe with the demon race, so they killed him like the two dragons. The seven demons surrounding the room were his direct subordinates, and they died before him. After them, no more demons could ascend to the primordial rank, but that seems to have changed because I believe the sleeping male demon we saw earlier was a primordial demon.”

”If both primordial beasts can kill a demon as powerful as a primordial demon, they are both truly powerful, and we will be in big trouble if they send their avatars to this Paradise Realm.” Tianshi Bailong spoke with a gloomy expression.

”I agree.” Long Xukong nodded solemnly. ”Even if we help all the mythical beast races reach the Immortal Rank, we still won’t be able to defeat the two avatars of the primordial beasts.”

Long Wuzhao didn’t say anything and looked at Zhang Fei, who replied with a wry smile. ”If their avatars come to this Paradise Realm too early, I won’t be able to fight them either, and we might both die at their hands.”

”How do you think we can fight the two primordial beasts?” Long Wuzhao asked him.

”There’s nothing we can do to stop them,” Zhang Fei replied with a heavy sigh and pointed to the qi screen showing the Ancient Desolation Domain. ”The only way I can think of now is to go to the Ancient Realm, but my strength is far from sufficient, and I can’t say for sure when I’ll be able to go there.”

”Why do you want to go to the Ancient Realm?” Tian Yaoqin curiously asked because she still didn’t know much about Zhang Fei, let alone his identity as Hu Tianlang’s sole successor.

Zhang Fei smiled at her. ”There’s no need to rush, okay? I won’t tell you now, but you’ll find out when we spend time together after this.”

Tian Yaoqin glared at Zhang Fei, but she felt extremely embarrassed when Long Wuzhao and the others looked at her, forcing her to turn her face to the side. ’Sigh! He shouldn’t have spoken like that in front of all of them! Moreover, I haven’t decided whether I will accept him or not, but he acts as if I have accepted him.’

”What are the minimum requirements for us to go there?”

Zhang Fei told them directly, ”The strengths and beast ranks of the three of you are sufficient to go there, but you have already seen that there are many beasts at the same rank as you. Therefore, you should think twice about going there, especially since the situation there is really not conducive.”

Long Wuzhao, Long Xukong, and Tianshi Bailong nodded in agreement with Zhang Fei. Even though they were powerful, and their beast ranks had reached the immortal rank, they would not rashly go to a place where cultivators of their equals gathered, especially if they outnumbered them.

They then looked at the qi screen, which displayed the situation in the third room, where they saw statues of the ancient natural races. They were confused seeing those statues bowing towards the statue of a woman in the middle of the room, especially since it also had a giant body like the statues of the demons in the previous room.

”Does this mean that the natural races were the third living beings that existed in our universe in the past? Was the woman from the giant race their leader in the past?” Tian Yaoqin asked as she looked at the statues, but she was disappointed because she hadn’t seen the winged race yet.

”Yes.” Zhang Fei explained to them. ”From what I have concluded, the first living creatures to exist in our universe were the beasts, the second were the demon race, and the third were the natural races. To tell you the truth, I was also confused by that at first, but I couldn’t find any statues of winged races at all in that place, and I suspected that your race is categorized as humans.”

Tian Yaoqin turned to Zhang Fei with a frown, but her winged race was indeed no different from the human race, and what differentiated them was that her race had wings.

Long Wuzhao and the two senior dragons were also confused by that, but they were more focused on observing the third screen, especially the figure of the woman from the giant race. Moreover, they could see statues of other natural races standing respectfully facing her, so she was indeed their leader in the past, but the number of her giant race was already small in this universe, including in the Paradise Realm.

Zhang Fei didn’t explain much to them about the natural races, and he pointed to the next qi screen, which showed statues of demihumans.

In the room, they saw various kinds of demihuman races, and the statue in the middle depicted a male demihuman with the appearance of a humanoid dragon, whose entire body was red. ”A demihuman with a fire dragon bloodline.”

”So, his bloodline in the past was a fire dragon, huh?”

Long Wuzhao pointed at the screen. ”From the shape of his horns and the red dragon scales on his body, I’m sure his bloodline was a fire dragon when he was alive.”
