Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1423: Move The Spider Beasts

’Linghu Minghua and the people from the Dusk Pavilion, huh? The situation in this domain would become chaotic if people found out about their deaths, and they would use all means to search for their murderers.’ Xuan Meiyun came to a realization due to her recent experiences. ’Could he and his four wives be the culprits? His abilities cannot be underestimated, especially his speed. I’m sure this old man also visited those people before he came to me, and they died because of him.’

Xuan Meiyun posed a question to the old man. ”When did you find them dead? Did you come to them as you came to me at that time?”

”Today.” Hun Lingwu hesitated to tell Xuan Meiyun the truth, but he decided to tell her anyway. ”I approached those people before coming to you because I lacked confidence in your ability to defeat Zhang Fei, so I needed their help to capture him.”

’As expected! That man must have killed Linghu Minghua and his people! With his speed and the help of those on his side, he can defeat them easily.’ Xuan Meiyun sat back in her chair and looked at him. ”If you don’t have confidence in my abilities, you shouldn’t have come here to ask for my help. I do need your pills, but I don’t like it when you look down on me and the members of my race. Therefore, you can leave my place right now, and I will call back my people from the sect.”

”You—”

”Leave.” Xuan Meiyun shouted as she released her power.

Hun Lingwu stared at Xuan Meiyun in shock, especially since her strength had increased since the last time they met. He had deliberately used his pills as a bargain because he knew her strength hadn’t reached this level yet, but she had now managed to achieve it without his pills. ”How—”

”I won’t repeat my words; you guys should leave my place right now.” Xuan Meiyun summoned her subordinates, and countless spider beasts immediately appeared, surrounding Hun Lingwu and his disciple. ”If you don’t leave now, I won’t hesitate to fight you. Even though I’m not as strong as you, this place is my nest, and I can do many things to the two of you here.”

Hun Tianyu tugged at the hem of his master’s sleeve, mainly because he was afraid of those spider beasts. ’Master, we should leave this place now, or these spiders will really attack us.’

Hun Lingwu wasn’t afraid of Xuan Meiyun, but this place was her private domain. Moreover, he didn’t know what she was hiding there, which could be detrimental to him if he fought against her and her subordinates.

Hun Lingwu stared at Xuan Meiyun with fury, but she was undeterred and prepared to face him. He didn’t say anything else and immediately turned to leave, followed by Hun Tianyu. ’This damn spider woman dares to humiliate me and threatens me like this; I will kill her and her subordinates later.’

After Xuan Meiyun confirmed that the two people had left her place, she issued orders to her subordinates. ”Pack up right now! We’re going to the Twin Flames Main Domain today, and we’ll be staying there from now on. If we stay here, that old man will send some powerful cultivators to slaughter us, and our race will be wiped out by their hands.”

”Yes.” Those spider beasts hurriedly transformed into their human forms, and they left the place to pack their personal belongings.

Xuan Meiyun let out a soft sigh and leaned back in her chair, looking around her room. She and the members of her race had lived there for thousands of years, but she never expected to have to move elsewhere for their safety. ”I didn’t expect that that man was so cruel, and he slaughtered those people without sparing any of them. I don’t know whether following him would end well for me and Rasua or not, but I thought it would be better than us staying here and dying at the hands of those people. Moreover, he has already copied my soul and fused it with his, so I can’t disobey his order to move to his domain.”

After she thought for some time, Xuan Meiyun decided to contact Zhang Fei, informing him about Hun Lingwu’s arrival just now.

To Xuan Meiyun’s surprise, Zhang Fei informed her that he would go there to pick them up, and Feltia [2] had already arrived in front of her in a few blinks of an eye. ”I know your speed is so fast, but how did you get here so quickly?”

”Haha.” Feltia [2] laughed. ”You don’t know anything about me yet, but you’ll know more about me when you move there. I didn’t expect that old man would find out about those people’s deaths so soon, and I thought he would find out after some time.”

”So, you killed those people after you came to my place that time, huh?” Xuan Meiyun muttered as she looked at Feltia [2].

Feltia [2] shrugged his shoulders. ”Several hundred years ago they ambushed my parents-in-law, forcing them to flee to the Three Mortal Realms to hide.”

”Who are your parents-in-law?”

”Luo Fenghan and Huang Xiaoyi from the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary.” Xuan Meiyun naturally knew them, but she didn’t expect that they were Feltia [2]’s parents-in-law. ”Since the old man ordered Linghu Minghua to capture me, I decided to go to him and settle the old grudge between them. I slaughtered all his subordinates, but I didn’t kill him, and I handed him over to them.”

Xuan Meiyun was confused by that. ”If you didn’t kill Linghu Minghua, how could that old man find his corpse there?”

Since Xuan Meiyun couldn’t possibly betray him, Feltia [2] showed her two identities as the lust demon and the heavenly fox. He returned to his human form again after that, leaving her dazed with her eyes wide open and her mouth agape. ”Do you understand now?”

”How... how can you be a human, a fox beast, and a lust demon at the same time?” Xuan Meiyun asked, stammering.

”Because I’m special.” Xuan Meiyun’s lips twitched at Feltia [2]’s nonchalant answer. ”The residence for you and your race members isn’t ready yet, so you’ll be staying in my sect for the time being. Once the residence is ready, you can move them there, and I want all of you to set up defenses around the entire domain.”

”What kind of defenses do you want us to set up?” Feltia [2] explained to Xuan Meiyun some things about his plans for the Twin Flames Main Domain. ”I don’t think it’s difficult for us, but those defenses won’t be enough to protect your domain from attacks by cultivators as powerful as that old man. Therefore, we need additional defenses; otherwise, those people will be able to attack us easily.”

”I know that.” Feltia [2] nodded to her. ”You don’t need to worry about that, and I want you guys to focus on setting up the other defenses there. For now, one of my wives and Liao Hanxue are preparing some formations for that domain, and they will set them up once everything is ready, which will stop any cultivators who have malicious intentions towards us. No one, including the cultivators in the 3-Sun Celestial Venerable Realm, will be able to attack our domain once we have installed all the formations.”

”But what about cultivators in the Celestial God Realm?”

Feltia [2] shook his head in response to her question. ”I don’t have any formations to block cultivators at that level, but we shouldn’t need to worry about them since the number of cultivators who have reached that stage is minimal.”

”That’s true.” Xuan Meiyun nodded in agreement. ”Of the beast race, only a few have reached that stage, including the Golden Dragon Emperor. Apart from him, there are still the Celestial Dragon King, the Void Dragon King, and the Golden Phoenix Emperor.”

”Eh?” Feltia [2] was surprised to hear the last one. ”Is there a Golden Phoenix Race in this realm?”

”Don’t you know about that?”

”No.” Feltia [2] answered with a shake of his head. ”I have one ice phoenix, one dark phoenix, and several fire phoenixes as my wives. However, I have never heard of the golden phoenix, and my wives also don’t know about the other phoenix race.”

Xuan Meiyun’s jaw dropped again. ”Are those phoenixes really your wives?”

”Do I look like I’m bragging?” Feltia [2] created several qi screens, displaying all of his wives, who were mythical beasts of various races. ”See them?”

Xuan Meiyun stared at those qi screens in amazement. ”How did you get them as your wives? Ice phoenix, fire phoenix, dark phoenix, three-legged golden crow, white tiger, azure dragon, light dragon, and many more.”

”I’m a heaven fox, which is a mythical beast, okay?” Feltia [2] removed those qi screens.

Xuan Meiyun was curious about them, but she was sure she would meet them later after she moved to Feltia [2]’s domain, so she just had to wait for the right time.

While waiting for her subordinates to pack up, Xuan Meiyun began packing her personal belongings, and it didn’t take her long for that, especially since she didn’t have too many things anyway.

After they waited for some time, the other spider beasts had finished packing up. Feltia [2] immediately opened a portal to the Twin Flames Main Domain, and Xuan Meiyun hurriedly led her subordinates to enter it.
