Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1408: Fighting Shuang Yuelan

*Bam*

Leng Jianmo slammed the table furiously upon meeting the three women. His expression darkened, and he was completely enraged by their presence in his domain. Even so, he didn’t dare fight the people from the Blazing Nirvana Domain, and he would only be courting death if he did, especially since Empress Huo Yanling had returned.

The expressions of the old men with Leng Jianmo also became extremely ugly, and they struggled to think of a way to stop the shop without causing a commotion with the people from the Blazing Nirvana Domain. Although Zhang Fei’s alchemy shop didn’t sell high-quality pills, it did sell some basic pills that were far superior to theirs, which would reduce their shop’s income.

*Crack*

Leng Jianmo and the others turned to a woman who had just arrived and entered the room. ”What happened? Why are you here now, Shuang Yuelan?”

Shuang Yuelan paid her respects to them and told them about some information she had just received from their spies, which was news about Zhang Fei’s alchemy shop selling many kinds of superior-grade pills. She also informed them that their spies had seen him in the shop with two other women, one of whom was a princess of the Celestial Dragon race. However, their spies did not recognize the other woman’s identity, and they suspected that she was the daughter of Luo Fenghan and Huang Xiaoyi.

Leng Jianmo and those old men were completely shocked to hear that Zhang Fei had a relationship with the princess of the Celestial Dragon Race, which made it even more difficult for them to destroy the alchemy shop. ”Are you sure that woman is the princess of that race?”

”I heard about her from our spies, and they are sure that she is the one.” Shuang Yuelan looked at Leng Jianmo. ”Do you want me to investigate that woman, Master?”

Leng Jianmo thought for a moment and immediately ordered her. ”Go to that shop and investigate that woman’s identity. If she is indeed the princess of the Celestial Dragon Race, then I will have to think of another way to close that shop.”

”Yes.”

After Shuang Yuelan left, an old man asked Leng Jianmo, ”In your opinion, how could that young man possibly have a relationship with Empress Huo’s people and the princess of the Celestial Dragon Race?”

”I don’t know about that.” Leng Jianmo replied with a shake of his head. ”However, I know for sure that the existence of that shop will disrupt the prices of pills in this domain, and they will likely take over a large portion of the alchemy market here. Therefore, we must do something to stop them before it’s too late, or we will lose control of the market that we have dominated.”

”How are we going to do that?”

”We can’t possibly fight Empress Huo, let alone the Celestial Dragon Race.”

”We will die if we fight both of them.”

Leng Jianmo didn’t have an answer for that, and he himself didn’t have the guts to challenge those people. However, he didn’t want Zhang Fei’s alchemy shop to take over the alchemy market that they had dominated, mainly because it would be a huge loss for them.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei sat on the second floor, watching the buyers scramble to buy the pills and observing the system map. ”Those guys aren’t deterred, huh? They sent a woman here, and they probably assigned her to spy on our shop.”

”What will you do with that woman, husband?” Luo Yunxiao asked.

Tianshi Shengjie also asked her. ”Do you want to capture that woman, Zhang Fei?”

”I don’t know.” Zhang Fei immediately stood up from his chair. ”I’ll meet that woman first to find out what those people want from our shop, and I’ll think of another move after I talk to her.”

Luo Yunxiao and Tianshi Shengjie hurriedly followed Zhang Fei out of their shop, and the three of them moved towards the woman’s location.

Shuang Yuelan, who sensed their presence, immediately moved towards a deserted area.

Upon arrival, Shuang Yuelan raised her eyebrows after realizing that Zhang Fei’s cultivation was only at the 3-Sun Celestial King Realm. However, she didn’t dare underestimate the two women by his side, especially Tianshi Shengjie, who was clearly the strongest of the three.

Zhang Fei smirked as Shuang Yuelan’s eyes clearly looked down on him, especially since she was stronger than him with her cultivation at the 3-Sun Celestial Emperor Realm. ”Did Leng Jianmo and those old men order you to investigate us?”

”Hmm?” Shuang Yuelan was slightly surprised by Zhang Fei’s calmness. ”I don’t know what you mean, and I brought you three here because I detected you following me.”

Zhang Fei shook his head as he spoke. ”You don’t need to lie to us because I know you left that old man’s residence, so I’m sure you’re his subordinate. If you don’t want to tell the truth, I will move to capture you. I will force you to tell the truth, and you won’t like it if I act rudely.”

”Heh.” Shuang Yuelan snorted at him. ”Do you think you can capture me with your cultivation? Do you want to rely on the two women beside you? Are you a man who has no self-respect to rely on those two women?”

”Hahaha.” Luo Yunxiao laughed upon hearing that. ”Are you going to let this woman look down on you, husband?”

Tianshi Shengjie spoke to the woman. ”You’re really arrogant, you know? You don’t know the depth of the sea and the height of the sky! Do you think the two of us would be on his side if he were as weak as you say?”

Shuang Yuelan wanted to attack the two women, but her body froze when a sword pressed against her neck, and she saw Zhang Fei already standing behind her, holding the sword. Moreover, she saw him still standing there and not doing anything, but her eyes widened when he disappeared. ’Impossible! Since when did he move behind me? Why can’t I see his movements at all?’

”What do you think I should do with an arrogant woman like you?” Shuang Yuelan turned around to attack Zhang Fei, but he swiftly parried her attack and locked her hands behind her. ”Your cultivation is indeed one major stage above mine, but that means nothing to me because my basic strength is already far greater than yours, and my speed is also faster than yours.”

Shuang Yuelan struggled to free herself, but Zhang Fei’s strength was far superior to hers, even though her cultivation was one major stage lower. ”Let go of me!”

”Hahaha.” Zhang Fei laughed and let go of Shuang Yuelan, who immediately jumped away from him and took out her sword. ”I already knew there were some of your master’s spies in my shop, and I deliberately left them alive to report to him. However, I didn’t expect that he would send you to me, even though he didn’t know for sure about our strength.”

”Humph.” Shuang Yuelan snorted and immediately attacked Zhang Fei, but he easily deflected all of her attacks, frustrating her that she couldn’t attack a cultivator who was much weaker than her. Despite her decision to quicken her pace, he effortlessly parried all her attacks.

Zhang Fei grabbed Shuang Yuelan’s sword and slashed his sword into hers, shattering it into pieces.

Shuang Yuelan jumped away from Zhang Fei and looked at her sword, which only had the hilt left, causing her heart to ache.

Zhang Fei teleported in front of Shuang Yuelan and pressed his sword against her neck. ”I told you from the start that you weren’t my opponent, but you didn’t want to listen to me. Since you decided to attack me, I decided to destroy your sword as a small lesson for you.”

”Kill me.” Shuang Yuelan said as she looked at him with a sharp gaze.

Zhang Fei pulled his sword back from her neck. ”Leave now before I change my mind! I would never kill anyone over a small matter, but I will kill your master if he dares to trouble me again. I want to trade peacefully, and I don’t want him to disturb my shop, let alone attack my wife in there.”

Shuang Yuelan looked at Zhang Fei for some time, and she turned around, leaving the place. She was still shocked in her heart because he could defeat her so easily, even though she was far superior in cultivation to him.

Luo Yunxiao walked to her husband’s side and asked him a question. ”Why did you decide to spare that woman, husband?”

”Hehe.” Zhang Fei chuckled and hugged her waist. ”The older I get, the more I realize things. I spared her because she wasn’t my match, and she didn’t do anything excessive. Instead, I thought about pulling her into our sect, and she would be valuable additional ammunition for us.”

”Then, what are you going to do about those old men?” Tianshi Shengjie asked him.

”Nothing.” Zhang Fei turned to her. ”I’ll let them live for now, but I’ll kill them if they dare trouble me again. Let’s return to our shop, and we’ll leave after I’ve observed the capabilities of those buyers.”

Shuang Yuelan had already returned to her headquarters, and she went to see Leng Jianmo, reporting to him about her fight with Zhang Fei just now.

”Leave.”

After Shuang Yuelan left, Leng Jianmo sat limply in his chair. ’Who exactly is that man? How can he be so strong?’
