Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1085: Desperation

”Hehehe... hahaha...” Zhang Fei frowned at the male demon. ”Haven’t you realized it yet? We’re still in your body, but we’re in my heart now, and it has begun to take over your body. Once my heart fully awakens, your body will be completely mine, and you’ll remain imprisoned here until I absorb your soul entirely.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei looked around them for a way out of this place, but he couldn’t find one. Furthermore, he couldn’t use his strength or abilities, and the system also didn’t show any signs that it would move.

Just as Zhang Fei was contemplating his situation, the evil soul of the ten-tailed fox and Long Zhaihuo suddenly attacked him. Even so, he wasn’t too worried about them, especially since he believed that they weren’t real.

Unfortunately, Zhang Fei’s guess was half right, especially since one of them was real. He screamed in pain as soon as the evil soul of the ten-tailed fox’s claws pierced through his chest. ”Argh!”

”Hahaha.” The evil soul of the ten-tailed fox laughed at Zhang Fei’s painful expression. ”Back then, you beat me to death and absorbed my soul, but unfortunately, you didn’t realize that I would always exist within your body as your evil side. Once the Cursed Demon Heart takes over your body, that demon and I will control your body, and we will have fun with all your women before killing them. As for you, you won’t have the chance to witness it, especially since your soul will become nourishment for our souls.”

A black liquid immediately gushed from Zhang Fei’s chest as soon as the evil soul of the ten-tailed fox retracted its claws, causing him to fall to his knees.

The evil soul of the ten-tailed fox grabbed Zhang Fei’s head and bared his long fangs. ”Hahaha! What can you do now? Without your strength and abilities, you are nothing but an ant in my eyes. I really want to eat you right now, but this heart will die if you die, so I can’t do it now. Once this heart takes over your body, I will enjoy myself devouring your soul.”

”Heh.” Zhang Fei snorted at him. ”The ten-tailed fox is a dignified fox, and he would never cooperate with a near-dead demon like him. No wonder he decided to discard you from him and imprisoned you in that place for so long, especially since you are just a lowly soul.”

”You bastard!” The evil soul of the ten-tailed fox shouted furiously and stabbed its long claws into his body several times, causing him to fall to the floor and black liquid to continuously flow from his body.

”Hey! Stop it! If he dies, our efforts will be in vain, and we will die with him.” The male demon finally stopped the evil soul of the ten-tailed fox.

”Tch!” The evil soul of the ten-tailed fox gritted his long fangs and hatefully stared at Zhang Fei. ”How long will it take for your heart to wake up? I can’t wait to eat his soul, and I will use his body to have fun with his woman.”

The male demon shook his head in response. ”My soul is not perfect because Long Wuzhao destroyed my main soul, so the process of awakening my heart will be much slower than it should be. For now, we can only be patient, and no one can stop my heart from awakening.”

The evil soul of the ten-tailed fox frowned at that, and he looked at Zhang Fei again before kicking him, sending him rolling on the ground several times. ”What a weak little brat! I don’t understand why my benevolent soul chose him as our heir!”

Zhang Fei helplessly lay on the ground, and he felt that he was getting weaker and weaker. Since he became a cultivator, this was the second time he felt so helpless, and the first was his encounter with the mysterious woman from the Ancient Nether Clan. ’Am I really going to die here? What will happen to them if these two bastards take over my body?’

{Is your determination only limited to this, kid? Can you really not do anything without the help of your system and all your strengths? You are my heir, and my heir cannot be weak. Get up! Fight them!}

Zhang Fei wanted to do that, but he grew weaker as time passed. ’You are the benevolent soul of the ten-tailed fox, right? What can I do? That evil soul is so powerful, and I don’t have the power or abilities to fight him right now. Moreover, that demon is by his side, and he’s no less powerful even though he’s not a complete soul.’

{Have I made a mistake in choosing you as my heir? Have you forgotten your promise to all the women and people closest to you?} Zhang Fei naturally never forgot his promise to them. {If you give up now, they will take over your body. At that time, they will do bad things to them, and worst of all, they will torture them to death. Do you really want to see that happen? Additionally, they will use your body to create great chaos in this universe, and more and more people will suffer because of you.}

Zhang Fei could no longer respond to the benevolent soul of the ten-tailed fox, as his consciousness increasingly disappeared due to the severe injuries in his chest. ’I’m sorry, I couldn’t do anything to defeat them.’

In the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary, Zhang Fei suddenly absorbed the black smoke covering his body before he opened his eyes. However, his eyes had turned pitch-black, and a baleful aura radiated from his body.

Zhang Fei immediately attacked Feng Yao, who was standing beside him. However, the phoenix princess simply overpowered him, restricted his movements, and sealed his cultivation.

Feng Yao slapped Zhang Fei’s cheeks really hard, causing him to bounce and slam into the wall behind him. ”Idiot! Fight your heart!”

Despite this, Zhang Fei said nothing and glared at Feng Yao with his pitch-black eyes. He struggled to break free from her restraint, but his efforts were in vain.

”What happened to him, Big Sis Yao? Has the Cursed Demon Heart taken over his body?” Although Luo Yunxiao’s tone was calm, her expression was filled with panic.

”Not yet.” Feng Yao replied with a shake of her head. ”The Cursed Demon Heart has begun to awaken, but it’s still not fully awake. I don’t know what’s happening to him, but the heart will completely take over his body if he continues like this. If that happens, I’ll have no choice but to kill him.”

”Big Sis Yao.” Luo Yunxiao suddenly realized something. ”Shit! His five clones are connected to his main body directly, and they must be experiencing the same situation.”

Feng Yao just remembered that, but she also remembered that there were many powerful cultivators by Zhang Fei’s clones’ side. ”Don’t worry, they’ll definitely be fine. Some of his women have already broken through to the Five Celestial Realms, and Jia Yuyan was also with them, so it shouldn’t be difficult for them to stop his clones in their current state.”

”I hope you are right, Big Sis Yao.” Luo Yunxiao released a heavy sigh. ”Otherwise, they will be seriously injured because of our husband’s clones.”

”Let me try something.” Tang Ying immediately climbed onto the bed and sat behind Zhang Fei, pressing her palms against his back. After that, she closed her eyes and used her technique, trying to wake him up.

As Feng Yao expected, the several women in the pavilion had already sealed the cultivation of the four clones, and Jia Yuyan had tied their hands and feet using many tree branches, rendering them unable to move.

”Why did they suddenly become like this? What exactly happened to our husband out there? Didn’t he just go to the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary?” Liu Hua asked the others.

Jia Yuyan spoke to them directly. ”Our husband’s third clone previously attempted to capture Tian Baixing, but a mysterious male fox suddenly appeared and attacked him, which caused his previous injuries. His injuries seemed to provoke the Cursed Demon Heart to awaken, and he became like this because of its effects.”

”Does that mean our husband has fallen under the influence of his Cursed Demon Heart, Sister Yuyan?” Hu Yue asked her in a worried tone.

”Not yet.” Jia Yuyan replied with a shake of her head. ”Even though I don’t have any information about the Cursed Demon Heart, I’m sure it hasn’t fully awakened yet, especially since they’re more like mindless dolls now. If the heart had fully awakened and was controlling them, they wouldn’t be acting like this, and they would have full consciousness.”

Hu Lili then asked. ”So, what should we do now? Our light elements are useless to help them.”

”We can’t do anything, and the only one who can help our husband is he himself.” Jia Yuyan observed Zhang Fei’s four clones again. ”If he submits to the influence of the heart, he will turn completely evil. If that happens, we will face serious problems, and people out there will probably kill him.”

After Jia Yuyan said that, the expressions of all the women turned gloomy and full of worry. Naturally, they didn’t want Zhang Fei to die because his death would make them suffer and miserable, but they had no other solution to help him. Moreover, they couldn’t leave the training space without him, so it was impossible for them to pick up his real body and bring him back.

They looked at several people who had just arrived at the pavilion. Hun Di immediately checked the condition of Zhang Fei’s clones before sitting behind his first clone, and he pressed his palms to his back. ”I don’t know if this will work, but I’ll try to find his soul to wake him up. You guys have to help his other three clones and try using that technique on them.”

”Yes, Master.”

Lin Moxian and Xi Hongyan sat behind Zhang Fei’s second clone. Qiao Liangren and Shang Yingyue sat behind his fourth clone. Yan Yinqing and Jing Qiuyue sat behind his fifth clone. All of them use their soul techniques to help them.

”Grandma.” Zhang Lin called out to Zhang Chen, who was already cross-legged in front of Zhang Fei’s first clone. ”What would you do?”

Zhang Chen shook her head slightly, grabbed her grandson’s hands, and rubbed them. ’Fei’er, you must resist the temptation of your Cursed Demon Heat! I’ve always believed that you are a strong child, so please control yourself and don’t let yourself fall into its control. We’re waiting for your return, and we believe you’ll become stronger if you make it through this situation.’
