Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1151: Chapter 1152: Endless Explanations

Mother Qi found out about Cheng Su wanting to borrow money from the bank, thanks to Qi Fenglian. It turns out she went to the bank that day to deposit money and happened to run into Cheng Su coming out. She called her a few times without response and noticed Cheng Su looked a bit distraught, so she asked the bank teller what Cheng Su was doing.

As a result, she learned about Cheng Su’s intention to borrow money. Such a large sum of money really terrified Qi Fenglian, wondering how it would be paid back.

So, when she called home to ask about the two kids’ situation, she casually mentioned it. Later, feeling uneasy, she came to ask Qi Taiguo about it.

Cheng Su and Qi Taiguo were speechless. Cheng Su grabbed the phone and said, ”Big sister, if something like this happens again, at least tell us first. Don’t tell the family first, okay?”

Qi Fenglian responded meekly.

After hanging up, Cheng Su was too angry to speak, and Qi Taiguo said, ”Let it be, big sister is just concerned.”

”Not to be mean, but big sister lacks emotional intelligence. If she has doubts, she should ask us, not tell the family first. Now look, what’s become of it? This isn’t concern; it’s stirring up trouble!” Cheng Su couldn’t help but complain. In fact, this wasn’t the first time Qi Fenglian had done this. There were several times before when she revealed things first, putting Cheng Su in a tough spot.

Qi Taiguo said nothing. That’s his big sister, what’s done is done.

Seeing him like this, Cheng Su said, ”I’m not blaming her, it’s just... I feel upset, sigh.”

”I know!” Qi Taiguo squeezed her hand tightly.

Cheng Su sighed.

The phone rang again, and she said, ”The explanations aren’t over yet.”

Answering the call, it was from the Cheng family, and Qi Taiguo said Cheng Su was there.

Cheng Su took the call, and it was Father Cheng, naturally asking about borrowing money and mentioning Mother Qi’s visit to their house to question them.

”If it’s for business and cash flow is tight, I don’t have much, but it’s something you can use!” Father Cheng said.

Cheng Su felt warm inside and said no need, explaining her purpose for borrowing money.

Upon hearing it was for investment, Father Cheng hesitated for a moment: ”It’s not a small amount, are you confident you can repay it?”

”Don’t worry! If I can’t repay, at worst I’ll sell the Jam Company, I can always repay. However, I will definitely repay it.” It’s a pity the family doesn’t have money, otherwise, they could invest in a piece of land together, wouldn’t that be wonderful!

”You two make your own decision, discuss it well with Taiguo!” Father Cheng reminded before hanging up.

After hanging up, another call came in. Helplessly looking at Qi Taiguo, Cheng Su said, ”No need to guess, this time it’s definitely from your family. You take it!”

Qi Taiguo answered, and sure enough, it was Mother Qi. She had left the Cheng family in low spirits after getting nowhere, and immediately called home, and it was her son who answered.

So, Mother Qi started crying and speaking, saying how Cheng Su was a curse and must have a death wish!

”If she really dares to borrow this money, Taiguo, you might as well file for divorce. We can’t let our descendants be dragged down by her like this!” Mother Qi bizarrely said, ”Their Cheng family treats her like a treasure, saying even if she leaves, plenty of people will fight to marry her. You’re a battalion commander as well, aren’t you worried about finding a good wife? And didn’t that doctor who liked you before also seem quite good, just marry her...”

”Mom! What are you talking about, such nonsense. This money is something the two of us must borrow, it’s an investment for future generations. Don’t say those outrageous things anymore! I don’t want to hear it!” Qi Taiguo’s face turned ashen with anger. He really hadn’t expected his mother to have such thoughts.

Marry Chiang Qing? Bah!
