Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1155: Chapter 1156: A Chance Encounter with Zhang Jisheng

Nowadays, not many people are willing to take out loans from banks, because borrowing is easy but repaying is hard, so Cheng Su and their process was completed rather quickly.

Both sides had loans, so to sign and collect the remittance, Cheng Su and Ning Ge went together.

”Why did you think of buying land in Guangcheng and not in Qing City?” After the procedures were completed, the two sat down in a café, Ning Ge asked Cheng Su.

Cheng Su took a sip of coffee and said, ”Nothing special, because Guangcheng is more prosperous than Qing City.”

”If that’s the case, Beijing is even more prosperous!”

Cheng Su laughed and blurted out, ”Indeed, the future of Beijing will surely be beyond reach!” The housing prices are sky-high.

Ning Ge looked at her aghast, the future?

Seeing his surprised expression, Cheng Su realized her slip of the tongue, coughed, and said, ”It is the capital after all, it’s already compelling now, let alone in the future!”

”But you never thought of buying land in Beijing!” Ning Ge slightly smiled and said.

Cheng Su looked out the window and said, ”I can’t afford it, and besides, I don’t feel a sense of belonging there!”

Guangcheng is different. She grew up there, naturally having a special attachment to it.

But Beijing, she never had the ambition, especially now with Chiang Qing there, she’s even more unwilling, she still prefers the South a bit more.

Sense of belonging, Ning Ge murmured, ”But you don’t live there either, you live in Qing City, what sense of belonging are you talking about!”

”You wouldn’t understand even if I told you, anyway, I’ve taken a fancy to it, thinking it can develop into a big city!” Cheng Su snorted.

Ning Ge shrugged.

Cheng Su finished her coffee and stood up, saying, ”Let’s go!”

”Where to?” Ning Ge asked.

”Luh Kai is getting married, you’ve received the invitation too, don’t you need to buy a gift? Let’s go buy a gift!” Cheng Su said.

”Ah, well, isn’t giving a red envelope enough, do you really need to choose something?” Ning Ge said, but still stood up with her.

The red envelope had to be given, but since it was private and Luh Kai had helped her before, Cheng Su thought of giving something meaningful.

She dragged Ning Ge to the gold shop and took a fancy to a pair of exquisite little smiling items.

”Such a generous gesture?” Ning Ge raised his eyebrows at her, ”I didn’t realize you were so generous!”

Cheng Su’s eyes remained fixed on the glass cabinet, ”When you get married, I’ll give you an even bigger pair. So, hurry up and find someone!” She then pointed at a golden bracelet, asking the clerk to let her try it.

Ning Ge listened and felt slightly discomfort, said nothing.

Cheng Su didn’t mind him, put on the chain with the help of the clerk, and asked Ning Ge, ”How does it look?”

Ning Ge glanced and said, ”Golden and flashy, what’s so nice about it, quite vulgar, wear diamonds, they look good!”

Cheng Su rolled her eyes, took it off and handed it back to the clerk, saying, ”Gold is valuable, it can be passed down to future generations!”

Ning Ge was just about to speak when suddenly a loud voice sounded not far behind them.

”I don’t care, you have to buy me the ring today, otherwise I won’t be pleased.” It was a woman’s voice.

Cheng Su didn’t turn back, guessing it must be a woman pestering a man to buy her jewelry, she continued to look at the jewelry.

But the next moment, the man’s voice surprised her.

”Can’t we buy it next time? I don’t have that much money today.”...

Turning around, Cheng Su saw not far behind, the humble and cautious man, wasn’t he Elder Sister’s ex-husband, Zhang Jisheng?
