Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 237: Chapter 237 Colorful Poisonous Spider

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The fierce sound of gunfire erupted as Qi Taiguo rushed over and said to the man, ”Xiao Wangguo, you can’t run anymore. Drop your gun and surrender!”

Xiao Wangguo turned his head back, sneered coldly, and continued running forward while indiscriminately shooting behind him. Qi Taiguo chased after him and fired another shot, hitting him in the calf.

Xiao Wangguo howled in pain and fell to his knees on one leg. Ma Guangshe arrived with his men and, seeing this, all aimed their guns at Xiao Wangguo.

The situation was hopeless.

Xiao Wangguo hung his head, still tightly clutching the gun in his hand.

”You can’t escape. Throw the gun over here,” Qi Taiguo said as he approached, pistol in hand.

Xiao Wangguo threw the gun out but did not look at Qi Taiguo, still hanging his head and muttering.

Qi Taiguo approached and kicked away the gun on the ground.

”Old Qi, be careful, it might be a trick!” Ma Guangshe warned, not letting his guard down.

Qi Taiguo nodded, keeping his pistol trained on Xiao Wangguo, his eyes sharp.

Two meters, one meter, half a meter...

Xiao Wangguo suddenly turned his head with an enigmatic smile on his lips, and Qi Taiguo inwardly cursed his luck.

Xiao Wangguo quickly turned his head and bit down on a bamboo tube, blowing something at Qi Taiguo. The whole process took no more than a second, so fast that no one could see clearly how he did it.

Qi Taiguo instinctively raised his arm to block, feeling a pain and a numbness in his arm as the gun fell to the ground.

”Old Qi.”

Bang! Bang!

Seeing the situation change, Ma Guangshe and his men immediately shot Xiao Wangguo.

Xiao Wangguo, looking at Qi Taiguo and clutching his gunshot wound, gave a ferocious smile and said, ”You bastard, if I can’t live, neither can you.” Then he tilted his head and fell to the ground, dead.

Ma Guangshe rushed over to confirm Xiao Wangguo was truly dead before turning to Qi Taiguo, ”Old Qi, how are you?”

Qi Taiguo looked at his arm, which had swollen black in just a short time.

”What is that?” Huo Wang pointed not far from Qi Taiguo’s feet.

A colorfully spotted spider was crawling there—could it have bitten him?

Ma Guangshe stomped down hard, grinding his heel, and said, ”Colorful Poisonous Spider, it’s definitely nothing good. Quick, apply a tourniquet above the wound.”

Huo Wang hurriedly pulled out a tourniquet, stepping forward to assist Qi Taiguo and prevent the poison from spreading, but the venom was so potent that the area quickly darkened even further.

”Knife.” Qi Taiguo felt his heart beat quickening and drew out his military knife, passing it over, ”Cut an ’X’ into the wound and squeeze out the blood.”

The problem wasn’t just an ordinary venomous spider; he had no idea what species it was, but he felt his heart racing, and his head began to spin. He knew the spider must not be an ordinary venom, especially since it came from the tomb-raider, Xiao Wangguo. Who knows where he had found the lethal creature.

Huo Wang hurried to do as instructed, while Qi Taiguo didn’t forget to tell Ma Guangshe, ”Dahe and the others are dealing with two more thugs. Please, Commander Ma, go finish the job.” He was worried Dahe lacked the experience and might run into trouble.

Ma Guangshe nodded, leaving two men to deal with Xiao Wangguo’s body, and taking another with him towards the east. They had only gone a few meters when Huo Wang suddenly shouted, ”Commander Qi? Commander Qi?”

Ma Guangshe turned around just in time to see Qi Taiguo, who had just spoken to him, collapsing to the ground, his face changing color.

”First, get Commander Qi back to the safe house. Find a Gu Doctor and bring that spider with you,” Ma Guangshe ran over and ordered loudly.

A group of men, with Huo Wang carrying Qi Taiguo on his back and one assisting, hurriedly descended the mountain.
