Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

”How do we find Kakoke...” The Moon Goddess looked at the vast island; although it was an island, it covered a large area.

And even if they had the ability to search around the entire island, they couldn’t just keep turning over the island to find Kakoke.

Wouldn’t that be telling her it’s premeditated?

Even though Athena had arranged everything behind them and Eros was right behind, naturally reducing obstacles would help.

No one wants to realize falling in love was a plot.

Suddenly, Jasper Pool raised an eyebrow and said, ”Priest, make sure you don’t mix acting with reality...”

Shen Fei was speechless, ”I’m not that kind of person.”

Moreover, from what he understood, Calypso had at least fallen in love twice; in Greek mythology, this was considered quite normal.

Besides, this is still virtual.

Jasper Pool and the Moon Goddess exchanged a glance, naturally believing Shen Fei, though the chaotic mélange of Ancient Greece was indeed absurd.

They haven’t experienced it firsthand, but whether from memory or from what they’ve seen, they could only say:

When they leave here and get back, they need to wash their eyes to avoid a stye.

”Let’s stay here for a while.”

Shen Fei could only rely on Athena; after all, Calypso was no simple being, and in the following days, the three of them stayed on Aia Island.

Suddenly, Jasper Pool rubbed her nose but said nothing, although Shen Fei and the Moon Goddess had been with her for a long time.

On the way here, they had discussed that Aia Island was likely already under Calypso’s control, otherwise, Odysseus wouldn’t have been targeted by Calypso as soon as he landed.

As part of the plan, if anything seemed wrong, they would rub their noses.

...

”Is there someone?”

As soon as Shen Fei and the other two set foot on Aia Island, Calypso had already sensed them. Although she lived secluded on the island, she was its true master.

She had long fortified it with witchcraft, turning it into a fortress; she would know immediately if someone arrived.

”A man?!”

With a wave of her hand, divine power coalesced into a mirror before her, reflecting Shen Fei and the Moon Goddess.

Looking at Shen Fei, a hint of hatred flashed in Calypso’s eyes. Ever since that heartless man Odysseus, she had harbored a deep dislike for men.

Especially for womanizers.

Bringing two women to Aia Island, she sneered coldly, ”Vile man, let’s see you choose between the two!”

Having said that.

Calypso watched as the three separated, seemingly in search of tonight’s supper.

With a glance, she vanished from the spot.

Some time later.

The Moon Goddess, carefully designing a trap to capture the island’s creatures, was suddenly drawn by cries for help and ran towards the sound.

She found a bird caught in a snare, its bright feathers scattered on the ground, and when seeing the Moon Goddess, it spoke with human words.

”Help me, I was cursed by the witch Calypso out of jealousy of my beauty, turning me into a bird. I tried to escape while she was away but got caught in one of her traps.”

”If she finds me here, she’ll certainly take me back, maybe even kill me.”

The Moon Goddess quickly untangled the net, carefully freeing the little bird.

”Thank you, thank you.”

Crying, the bird said, ”I was originally a fisherman’s daughter, swept onto this island by a storm and discovered by the reclusive witch Calypso.

She envied my beauty...”

The Moon Goddess, following the bird’s tale, appropriately expressed outrage, even declaring: I am a Priestess of Artemis, the Guardian God of all maidens.

”Damn Calypso, daring to misuse witchcraft like this!”

The bird, hearing that the Moon Goddess was an emissary of Artemis, curiously asked, ”Why would Artemis’s emissary come here?”

”My companion is a prince from Ida Island, a descendant of the great hero Odysseus, once wandering in a foreign land due to war. Now as heir to the king of Ida Island, I and another priestess of Apollo were entrusted.

We need to bring him back to Ida Island...”

The Moon Goddess explained the pre-prepared reason, laying the groundwork for future plans, while recounting some of the fabricated encounters that were, in fact, adapted from Blue Star’s events.

This solidified the deep bond and shared experiences between the three.

The Moon Goddess naturally wasn’t worried about Calypso exposing them; how long had that reclusive witch stayed on the island anyway? In the time of Odysseus, the Trojan War was quite renowned.

Even the divine spirits have heard of his name, although Calypso hadn’t.

But as the bird heard the name, hatred and a hint of satisfaction glimmered in its bird eyes—it never expected that man to be a descendant of Odysseus.

Even though she had long since let go of the past, that guy chose a nymph over her in the end—damn man!

Did both women have feelings for him?

Just what she wanted.

”Can you help me?” The bird’s thoughts swirled, its tone mournful.

The Moon Goddess cradled the bird, ”My god is the Protector of all maidens; for Calypso to transform you into a bird out of envy for your beauty, I will help you.”

Indeed, the Moon Goddess’s words aligned with the notions embedded in many Ancient Greek stories—conflicts among many gods stemmed from such reasons.

Though they seemed childish, underlying themes of divine authority and rank clashes existed.

If Artemis failed to protect maidens, it would spread, weakening her rank and divine authority.

”The antidote to transform me back lies in the witch’s cave...” Calypso was eager, wanting to see which the man would choose.

”Then I will find them, and we are sure to help you get the antidote!!” The Moon Goddess declared angrily but also cautiously, planning to call Shen Fei and Jasper Pool.

The bird hurriedly said, ”The witch isn’t in the cave now; it’s the best time. Her witchcraft is so strong that even gods find it hard to contend with.

If you go find your companions, the witch might return.”

Hearing this, the Moon Goddess said, ”If so, then lead the way quickly, and we’ll go right away!”

...

Elsewhere, Jasper Pool faced a similar situation, except instead of a bird, she encountered a singing mermaid trapped in a pond, imprisoned by Calypso.

Calypso had petrified the mermaid’s tail, preventing her from returning to the sea, and the mermaid pleaded with Jasper Pool to retrieve the antidote from the cottage.

As a priestess of Apollo, Jasper Pool naturally held a fondness for mermaids, those born singers, and agreed to help the mermaid retrieve the antidote from Calypso.

From above, one could see the two heading towards the sides of the island, coincidentally opposite each other.
