Chapter 990: Oh? The law?

As she approached the Central Layer and the radius of the Anomaly decreased, Lucinda noticed more and more rich deposits of resources and fierce battles of Golden-ranked beasts.

Sensing the fluctuations of the Platinum-ranked creature, the beasts stopped fighting and froze, not wanting to attract her attention.

Fortunately for them, Lucinda showed no interest in them and flew past them.

As soon as her presence disappeared, the battle between the beasts would resume with renewed vigor.

The situation was similar in all four Anomalies.

Valuable resources were located closer to the center of the Anomalies, and therefore all the beasts that reached the peak Golden rank sought there, despite the danger, driven by the desire to break through to the Platinum rank.

As a result, Lucinda became the first to cross the boundary between the Middle and Central layers of the Ice Anomaly.

In the vast snow-white wasteland of snow and ice, there were no lines or other landmarks to indicate the boundary between the layers. Here, one could only see numerous ice statues of Golden-ranked beasts that had foolishly and greedily dared to invade the Central Layer and lost their lives.

Lucinda realized that she had entered the central layer of the Anomaly, feeling the faint fluctuations of the law of Ice and Wind in the environment.

Under the influence of the law of Ice and Wind, her body temperature began to drop rapidly. Lucinda, finally realizing this, did her best to protect herself from the cold and wind, so as not to become one of the many ice statues.

Even as a Diamond-grade being with a limited rank to Platinum, the law had a significant impact on her and even posed a threat.

Especially considering that Ice and Wind were not her native element.

”This place is perfect for little sister.”

She couldnʼt help but notice that this place seemed to have been created for Arabel and her Ice Spirit Form.

What a pity she canʼt come here, Lucinda thought, rushing forward. Soon, she did not notice how she found herself and got lost in a maze of icy rocks, thorns and ruins, surrounded by a snow-white fog that made it difficult to see and suppressed her Soul Force.

Lina, the second of the four, reached the boundary of the middle and central layers of the Thunderstorm Anomaly in the east. Under the weight of a downpour of lightning, carrying the law and gravity of the earth, she collapsed among the sharp metal spikes.

Her own lightning plasma wings had become heavy, and the sword on her belt had become almost unaffordable.

”The law?” Lina exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise. As a resident of Junonia who had previously had a connection with the Bloodline Domain, like Lucinda, she was well aware of the laws and couldnʼt help but notice their presence here.

Although the law was weak, it had a huge impact on creatures like her and others.

With sadness on her face, Lina put her sword and other metal objects from her clothes into a magic bag, lightening the weight of her body.

Then she closed her eyes and spread her arms, standing under a hail of lightning.

She could feel it: the faint lightning law of this world spreading through her body.

However, she understood that just feeling it did not mean that she would be able to comprehend this law, even if she had an affinity with the lightning element. Of course, there were some chances, but they were negligible.

Gradually, but steadily, under the influence of the lightning law, the fluctuations and structure of the lightning inside Lina began to change, adapting to the lightning Anomaly. Her wings became light again, and she regained the ability to fly.

”Thatʼs better,” Lina smiled.

Spreading her wings, she soared upward and, before reaching the low black thunderclouds, rushed into the very center of the Anomaly, until she was pulled into the boundless thunderclouds that engulfed everything to the ground.

”Oh? The law?”

In the west, Esma was pleasantly surprised to discover the presence of the law as soon as she crossed the border of the Central Layer.

The law was weak, but having it in a world that had just reached rank 4 was amazing in itself.

Although it was rare for Seeds of law to appear in the Junonia world, however, Junonia was a world of high rank.

From the very beginning, Esma shared Sierra and Lucindaʼs surprise when she learned about the imminent appearance of the Seeds of law. It was incredible.

”Could it be that the early appearance of the Seeds of law is due to some strange connection of this world with Junonia?”

A thought flashed through Esmaʼs mind.

But then, discarding these thoughts, feeling no pressure and feeling like a fish in water, she rushed deep into the Central Layer.

As for the law of water, as the avatar of the legendary Valkyrie, Esma knew a lot about the law of water. Only the limitations of Limbo and the local world with weak law prevented her from re-comprehending her law. But it was easier for her to adjust to the local law, when the World Will did not perceive her as a hostile being.

Due to the attack on the expedition group and the ambush of the Fire Creatures, Idan lost a lot of time. As a result, he lagged significantly behind Lucinda, Lina, and Esma, and finally approached the boundary of the Central Layer with Ned and his two clones.

As they flew over another fierce battleground, which turned out to be the most devastating they had ever seen, Idan and Ned stopped for a moment.

Numerous carcasses of dead beasts lay on fire below. Some of them were torn apart, while others were eaten.

It was hard to say exactly what had happened here, but after spending some time researching, Idan became suspicious.

”It seems that in the midst of the battle, a Platinum-ranked creature appeared, which killed everyone and ate some of them before rushing into the Central Layer.”

After spending some more time, Idan and Ned continued on their way. They did not notice how, among the piles of black ashes, among the corpses of beasts, a small head with large sad golden eyes appeared, which closely followed Idan.
