Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 989: How are they?

In the Kingdom, in a building reserved for the wounded, Arabel painfully watched over all the injured members of the expedition group, including one of her younger sisters and a devoted follower.

”Idan has stabilized the condition of the seriously injured, and their lives are no longer in danger,” Milena reported, using her element of Light. ”But it will take time for them to fully recover.”

Although her understanding of the element of Light was inferior to that of Idan, Aliya, and Lucinda, it was still quite effective. Of the two elements, Light and Darkness, Milena devoted most of her time to Darkness, following Sierra. Now, seeing her shortcomings in mastering the second element, she decided to catch up.

”Prina found out that the Creatures of Light were not involved in this case, although Rezkar offered them cooperation, but Serafina refused for some reason.”

Sierra appeared without her usual smile. Her cold gaze fell on Hazel, assessing her wounds. Soon, she spoke with some relief.:

”At least her wings are not completely destroyed, and there is every chance of recovery.”

Wings were everything to Valkyries, and losing them was tantamount to death for most of them.

The chances of recovering the completely lost wings were almost impossible.

What Lina did has already become a legendary act, and if it were known in the Celestial Continent, she would become a celebrity.

”Why would Serafina refuse Rezkar?”

Arabel found this suspicious. Of all the creatures from other worlds with whom the Kingdom was at enmity, it was with the Creatures of Light from the Domain of Saints, to which Serafina belonged, that they had the most intense relationship.

Serafina was the second most powerful and influential of the Guardians of Light.

In simple terms, she was the third most important being in the Domain of Saints.

It was strange that such a person refused to participate in the ambush against the Kingdom.

”We wonʼt know until we ask her or look into her mind,” Sierra shrugged, looking around the room and all the victims. In the end, her gaze landed on Hazel and Hailey.

Only these two people had internal wounds besides their external injuries.

And the most annoying thing was that everything related to soul damage was complicated and difficult to repair.

Due to the lack of a full-fledged path of soul cultivation in Junonia, the soul was little studied, and with it, the methods of its restoration.

Sierra was powerless in this situation, and she hoped most of all that Arabel and Idan, who had spread the Path of the Beast Tamer, would be able to find a way to cure these injuries.

”Is there a way to repair the damage to their souls?” Sierraʼs question caught Arabelʼs attention.

”There are options, but until they come to their senses and we know the full picture of the damage, itʼs too early to do anything,” Arabel replied.

Hazel lost her first contract. Her doppelganger was dead. This is the first time that someone who follows the Path of a Beast Tamer has lost a contracted beast.

As for Hailey, not only did she lose her doppelganger, but she also destroyed her Second Beast Soul herself. Her condition was even worse than Hazelʼs.

Besides, Arabelʼs answer matched what her System had already told her.

They will have to wait a bit before starting to treat these two.

Soon two people ran into the room: one tall, the other small. It was Rachel and Yulaya.

The news of the attack on the group from the Fire Anomaly spread quickly, and the other three expedition groups found out about it.

Arabel did not give the order to return, but suggested that they decide for themselves what to do: return or continue. All three groups did not think long and chose to continue.

They were aware of what they were doing, and they realized that running away every time after a setback and a threat would not make them stronger.

”How are they?” the two girls asked anxiously, barely crossing the threshold and seeing those they were so worried about.

Arabel spoke openly about the condition of Nathan, Hazel, and the others.

Besides her husband, Rachel was also worried about the Guild members.

After learning the details about the deaths of some of them, she clenched her fists with such force that they turned white, and her eyes burned with rage.

”Control yourself, Rachel,” Arabel said, putting her hands on Rachelʼs shoulder as she watched her tremble with anger. ”Donʼt try to do something rash. Donʼt worry about who caused your husband so much suffering.”

Rachel turned to Arabel.

”Someone has already instructed Idan to try to catch the culprit and bring her here. And if it turns out to be impossible, then just kill her in the most painful way,” Arabel added.

Even before the wounded began to be brought through the portal to the Kingdom and the details of what had happened became known, Geminia appeared in the Kingdom.

She immediately felt the loss of connection with her two descendants and realized that they were dead. Wanting to know the details of their deaths, she abandoned her studies and hurried to the Kingdom with questions.

Thanks to her, Arabel and the others learned the first details about the losses in the group and began to expect more terrible news.

But no matter how prepared they were, they were still in for a heavy blow.

This was the first major loss for both the Guild and Arabel, their leader.

Geminia did not linger after learning the details of what had happened from Reynar. Before leaving, she only asked to tell Idan to bring the murderer of her descendants to her. And if that didnʼt work out, he would kill her in the most painful way possible.

The fluctuation of power around Geminia and the way her eyes flashed with the energy of madness for a moment sent chills down everyoneʼs spine, even Sierraʼs.

They had seen Geminia in such a terrible mood only once, when Ned died, and she personally came to deal with the Queen of the Womskinner race.

Only one of her descendants died then, and the one who first showed signs of evolution.

But this time, she had lost not one, but two of her descendants at once, and she couldnʼt just turn a blind eye to it.
