Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 818: The end of the duel

With Arabelʼs defeat, the 2-on-2 battle turned into a 1-on-2 duel.

The members of the three guilds who joined the ”Kingdom” were somewhat puzzled to see one of the leaders of the new guild fail. They expected their leaders to win, but, alas, it turned out not to be the case.

Some of them realized how impressive this battle was, and realized that there were hardly any other Golden-ranked Awakened Ones capable of reaching this level of skill. But a defeat is a defeat, and not everyone could fully realize this fact.

Alois, Liam, and Ren, who were following the Path of the Sword, watched Lina and her next move with great interest.

”The will of the sword...” whispered Ren, looking admiringly at Lina and her hand, which was tightly gripping the hilt of the sword.

”I want to fight her.”, — Ren thought. ”I want to feel it… I want to know what itʼs like...”

Meanwhile, Alois turned to Liam, his student, and made a decision.

”If we find a way to leave Limbo, I wonʼt run away anymore and will return back to the Sword Sect. And Iʼll take you with me,” he said to himself.

Milisa, the master of three of the four participants in the battle, had anticipated something like this, so her surprise was not so strong.

”I hope Belle and Idan will learn from this experience and understand what they should do next,” she hoped.

”I wonder how Belle lost?” Idan mused, watching Lina, who didnʼt seem to have suffered much in the fight with Arabel.

Idan had no desire to delay the battles. He already realized that he was inferior to Nemo in skill. Just having a few bloodlines and the ability to use magic gave him a slight advantage, but even that wasnʼt enough to make up for the difference between them and ensure a sure victory over Nemo.

”We have too many abilities, and we havenʼt reached Nemoʼs skill level in any of them,” Idan realized. ”Meanwhile, Nemo, being on equal terms, can only stand up to us because of his swordsmanship.”

”Letʼs finish this,” Idan suggested, and flames burst out around him, and his body began to transform.

Nemo and Lina saw this and quickly realized what was going on. Nemo rushed forward without waiting for Idan to fully assume his Spirit Form, and Lina hurried over to them.

For the first time, Idan appeared in front of everyone in his Spirit Form.

Previously, only Arabel, Milica, Lucinda, and Elira could clearly see his Spirit Form, and no one else could.

Irene and some others could only see his outline from afar and the power he radiated during his battle against Erza in the Stone familyʼs territory.

Instead of red hair, flames, and instead of beautiful smooth skin, a living body made of fire. Idan became the true embodiment of the flame spirit.

His Guild uniform changed again, adjusting to his new body, allowing the flames to burn and breathe freely. He wasnʼt naked like before when he used his Spirit Form, which of course upset the girls watching the fight a bit.

But those who saw him in Spirit Form for the first time were shocked and couldnʼt understand what was going on. As before, their own Systems came to the rescue, surprising everyone.

Today, they had already witnessed how one creature had acquired its Spirit Form, causing an amazing phenomenon. Now they found out that the Leader of their new Guild, which they joined, also has such an amazing uniform.

Now that Idan was using his Spirit Form, no one could predict how this fight would end.

Even Milica wasnʼt sure who would be the winner. She possessed her own Lightning Spirit Form and was aware of its power. However, since she had never fought in a Simulation before and was not familiar with the restrictions, it was difficult for her to predict the outcome of the fight.

Nemo quickly appeared in front of Idan, taking advantage of the moment of his transformation, and without waiting for Idan to make his move, attacked first.

Clank!

Idan, even assuming the Spirit Form, did not release his sword and held it up against Nemoʼs blow, defending himself from his attack. When he was about to attack back, something happened that he and the others couldnʼt imagine.

In the blink of an eye, Nemo disappeared, and Lina appeared in his place, ready to strike with a sword. Her blade reached Idan and left a deep mark on his burning body.

«Swap!» — Idan exclaimed to himself as he realized that Lina and Nemo had activated the Systemʼs second unique ability, which they had acquired by becoming his and Arabelʼs champions.

But what happened next amazed Idan even more.

Lina had barely finished her punch when Nemo took her place again. He hit Idan, who had not yet recovered from Linaʼs attack.

Normally, Idan could just ignore these attacks, because in his Spirit Form, as long as there is a flame source supporting him, his wounds heal quickly and he is extremely difficult to kill.

But there were certain limitations in the Simularium.

Those who possessed the Spirit Form could not use it at the beginning of the battle. They needed to wait until they had accumulated enough strength for this ability to become available. Most importantly, they could only use the Spirit Form for a limited time and for a limited number of attacks. It was as if they had a certain amount of energy sources that could be used.

Now, after Linaʼs first wound, Idan had spent a significant portion of his energy on healing. This was followed by Nemoʼs second attack.

But Nemo and Lina didnʼt stop there.

They understood that if they allowed Idan to attack, there was a high chance of defeat. Therefore, they decided to take a risk, putting everything on the use of the unique ”swap” ability and what they have achieved in its application.

They constantly replaced each other, and the attacks rained down on Idan without a break. Idan couldnʼt resist this barrage of fast strikes, as the first attacks easily cut off his arms, and the constant attacks made it difficult to concentrate to create fire swords.

”Damn, Iʼm going to lose at this rate!” exclaimed Idan, realizing the situation he was in. Trying to find a solution, he simultaneously admired how skillfully Nemo and Lina used this ability.

For Lina and Nemo, the constant use of the ”swap” ability had its consequences: They were quickly running out of mana and stamina.

”How long can you endure?” thought Nemo, seeing how Idan steadfastly withstood the barrage of their blows.

”Come on, fall down already!” — Lina exclaimed, continuing to strike.

Still, their determination was rewarded.

Idanʼs energy was the first to run out, and his Spirit Form was canceled, not giving him a single opportunity to launch an attack. In the end, Nemoʼs sword took the life of Idanʼs combat avatar, throwing him out of the Simularium.

Nemo and Lina won this duel.

They sank to the ground with relief, breathing heavily, but not hiding their joy at their victory.
