Chapter 640: A mother’s conversation with her son.

”Mom, please be patient for a few days and give father some time,” Arslan whispered, pulling Anna into a secluded corner to talk to her alone.

Arslan noticed that in recent days, Richard, ever since they moved to the Kingdom, always walks with a joyful smile on his face, but at the same time he looks very exhausted. At the same time, Anna was beaming with happiness and looked as if she had become many years younger.

Arslan was not stupid and understood what his parents were doing every night. Having already tasted the forbidden fruit himself, he wanted it even more, but because of Irene’s adamancy, he couldn’t experience that feeling again.

Moreover, he wasn’t looking for a relationship on the side to relive it.

Looking at his mother, Arslan prayed to himself that she would not drive his father to exhaustion. He was also a little afraid to hear that he and Arabel might soon have a younger brother or sister.

Anna listened to her son’s request with a smile and, looking at him, could not help but notice how much he looked like Richard.

”Ah, if he had inherited his looks as well, he would have become an exact copy of his father, while Arabel became an exact copy of me,” Anna thought, looking at Arslan.

”Mom, are you listening to me?” Arslan doubted, noticing Anna’s smile.

”Of course I’m listening,” Anna replied and added, ”Don’t worry, I’m not what you and your sister think.”

”It’s just that Richard and I haven’t had time for ”this” for a long time, and we’re gradually catching up. Now I’m more or less satisfied.”

”Oh, then it’s okay,” Arslan sighed with relief, who, like Arabel, was seriously worried about his father.

Although the difference between a bronze rank and a mortal is not that great, a cultivator still becomes more resilient and stronger compared to an ordinary person.

Considering that Richard had previously had a hard time dealing with Anna when she was an ordinary mortal, he was unlikely to be able to withstand a night battle with her now.

”Father also needs to start improving,” Arslan thought.

It wasn’t just his head that was hurting right now, but Irene’s as well.

Now that their mothers had become bronze-ranked cultivators and had awakened an affinity with the element of Darkness, being ordinary people without any bloodline, they wondered how their mothers would continue to cultivate now.

From what they knew, people in Junonia could not awaken an affinity with the elements and develop along the ”Path of Magic” without any outside help.

”Let my sister worry about it, and if nothing turns up, then there’s still an opportunity for Mom and Ivette to become animal tamers,” Arslan mused.

”Arslan, wait,” Anna stopped Arslan, noticing that he was about to leave.

”How are you doing with Irene?” Anna asked bluntly.

Arslan was a little surprised at first, but then his face quickly drooped.

”Eh...” sighed Anna when she saw this.

”You’re acting just like your father,” Anna said, looking at her son. ”Too passive and patient... But at the same time, he’s very loyal.”

”Many people in your place, having not received reciprocal feelings from a girl they like, would have left long ago to look for other available women, especially after you had already become a man and experienced pleasure,” Anna confused her son with her own words.

Arslan did not refute his mother’s words. He wasn’t just an ordinary guy—he was a descendant of the Morgan family and one of the Heroes of the Federation. If he wanted to, he could have found as many beautiful girls as he needed if he just wanted to satisfy his lust.

Many girls tried to attract his attention, but he remained indifferent to everyone except Irene and his son. He was ready to wait for Irene to finally reciprocate his feelings.

”What is this conversation about?” asked Arslan.

Anna sighed again, looking at her son.

”I mean, stop waiting, son. If you really love this girl, Irene, then act, don’t wait until she reveals her feelings to you,” Anna urged. ”I’ve already talked to this girl and roughly understood her.”

”No matter how long you wait until something serious happens, this girl won’t respond to your feelings...” she continued.

”This girl, Irene, may seem like a confident and strong person to you, and you’d be right. She has a strong personality, but when it comes to relationships with the opposite sex, she doesn’t know how to behave at all,” Anna added.

”I don’t know how or under what circumstances you and Irene were able to conceive our grandson...” Anna paused and looked with a smile at her son, who blushed in embarrassment.

”But that incident didn’t go unnoticed for this girl, it left a deep mark on her.”

”I’m sure she likes you,” Anna continued, remembering her conversation with Irene.

Watching how Irene behaved in front of her and how she blushed when she asked about their relationship with Arslan, Anna was convinced of her conclusions, although Irene tried to evade the answer.

”If she didn’t like you, she wouldn’t tolerate you around her or even live under the same roof with you. But... something or someone is holding her back. It’s like she’s built a barrier around herself that she doesn’t want to overcome.”

”So, son, don’t wait, go and break through her defenses, get her,” Anna advised.

And even after her words, noticing that Arslan was still doubtful, she added:

”Or are you waiting for someone else to take over her heart?” asked Anna, and Arslan trembled at the thought of such an opportunity. He quickly shook his head, ”No, no, I won’t let that happen!”

”If you don’t want her to be with someone else, then why are you delaying? Go ahead, Arslan,” Anna insisted.

Arslan clenched his fists. He had thought about such a development himself, but denied that it was possible, and was confident that no one could take Irene away from him.

However, her mother’s words sounded like a slap in the face. At that moment, Arslan seemed to wake up and realized that he could no longer stand by and wait for everything to sort itself out.

”Thank you, Mom,” Arslan said, and seeing his determined attitude, Anna nodded with satisfaction.

After she had said everything she wanted to say, Anna did not stop Arslan, who left her in a fighting mood. She watched him go with a smile, wondering what would come of it.

”I wonder if he can bring it all to an end?” she mused.

”Fufu fufu, you’re really interesting.” Suddenly, Anna heard a woman’s voice and, not even surprised, turned to its source.

In front of her stood a beauty with long black hair, dressed in a beautiful black dress. She had a big smile on her face.

”Oh, isn’t that the miss Sierra?” asked Anna with a smile. Looking at her smile, Sierra couldn’t help but notice how much Anna looked like her daughter, especially the cocky version of Arabel that showed up during bouts of jealousy.

”Anna Morgan,” Sierra called, still smiling. ”I have a suggestion for you. Don’t you want to listen to it?”
