Chapter 636: The result of the unusual Sierra phenomenon

”Who would have thought that the two of them had such a story”, — Arabel said in her mind, still lost in thoughts about Nemo and Lina’s relationship.

”I’ll need to find time later and listen to their story in full, which already looks more interesting than any fictional stories,” Arabel made a note to herself, drawing attention to the captive men in front of her.

Without wasting any time, she used the Eye of Identification and began checking their information one by one.

Like Arabel, even the Eye of Identification did not detect any changes in them.

When she was about to check on Hans, who was kept a little apart from the rest of the men, Arabel noticed that he was still talking to Elira.

Elira, being a guest, did not participate in the meeting, but asked for permission to talk to Hans, which she did all the time.

Following the terms of the deal, Arabel did not interfere in their conversation or even eavesdrop on it. She disappeared and appeared already in the Winter region of the ring of the seasons.

When she appeared, the space in front of her tore apart, and one of the two foxes wielding the element of Space came out of it.

”Woo-woo-woo,” said the fox, approaching Arabel without fear and lowering her head. Arabel began stroking her fluffy white fur with a smile.

Ever since she gained an affinity for the element Space, Arabel felt a certain closeness with this fox, just as the fox, in turn, felt the same feelings for Arabel.

”Where’s the other one?” Arabel asked the fox, and the fox raised her head and began to chirp something in response.

”She’s not here?” — Arabel asked in surprise, and using a mental connection, she, having experience with Coco, quickly understood what the fox wanted to say.

”Eh? Did the Master ask her for something?” asked Arabel, and the fox nodded in response.

”Who is the Master? Dan?” asked Arabel, puzzled, and again received an affirmative nod.

”So Dan asked the other fox for some kind of request?” thought Arabel. Remembering what these foxes were capable of, she assumed that Idan had most likely sent her through his access portal to the border before teleporting to Junonia.

”Dan probably decided to play it safe in case his access point was reset or replaced,” Arabel sighed, marveling at Idan’s foresight during that unexpected and urgent situation.

After petting the fox a bit, Arabel decided to test him with the help of the Eye of Identification ability. As a result, she found nothing unusual.

At that moment, a familiar white wolf approached her. Arabel immediately noticed that the wolf had changed a lot in a short time: he became bigger, and his snow-white fur was covered with black stripes.

Intrigued, Arabel decided to check the information about the wolf.

--------------------------

**Identification:**

Name: ___

Race: Snow Wolf

Rank: Rank 3 (Golden)

Random information: Due to the phenomenon and abundance of the element of ice, the snow wolf awakened a rare type of the element of ice — dark ice.

--------------------------

”Oh,” Arabel exclaimed, delighted to discover the first person who could take advantage of the Sierra phenomenon.

The wolf, noticing Arabel’s joy, proudly raised his head and looked around, as if looking for someone.

”He’s not here.”, — Arabel said, reaching out to pet the wolf. In response, the wolf came closer and allowed her to touch him. Arabel began to stroke the wolf with a smile, and he turned from a formidable beast into a joyful dog again, actively wagging his tail.

After the wolf, other wolves and foxes began to appear one by one.

Arabel, continuing to pull the wolf’s fur, looked at them and, activating the Eye of Identification, became even more delighted.

”They’ve all awakened an affinity with the ice element!”

Some of them, like this wolf, not only awakened an affinity with the element of ice, but also acquired the quality of dark ice.

Even bronze-ranked cubs were able to awaken an affinity with the element of ice.

After spending some time in the company of friendly wolves and foxes, Arabel went in search of other beasts caught by Idan during his short trip to the south.

At that time, Idan did not pay much attention to the selection of beasts, seeking only to revive the empty spaces of the Kingdom. He caught and dispatched various creatures, from small to large, with different ranks.

After examining everyone she could, Arabel discovered that unlike foxes and wolves, only a few of the many beasts were able to awaken an affinity with the elements.

”So they were all able to awaken an affinity with the element of darkness,” — Arabel muttered. ”It seems that Wolves and Foxes, in addition to the phenomenon, have gained an advantage from the abundance of the element of ice and their origin from the cold North, where they are accustomed to harsh weather.”

”The rest of the beasts were only able to benefit from the Sierra phenomenon, and only those predisposed to the element of darkness were able to awaken this affinity.”

After finishing her part, Arabel returned to Sierra and the rest of the Limbo residents, who were enthusiastically discussing what had happened.

”It was a somewhat unusual phenomenon,” Geminia began. ”Usually, the phenomenon gives enlightenment and a hint that helps to take on the Form of the Spirit.”

”Remember how the Arabel phenomenon took place,” she reminded. ”Then none of the observers got anything but enlightenment.”

”But your phenomenon, combined with the uniqueness of this place and the abundance of dark energy, not only gave everyone enlightenment, but also allowed everyone who watched you to come into contact with your understanding of the element of Darkness.”

”Is that why those who are at least a little predisposed to the element of Darkness were able to awaken an affinity with it?” asked Lucinda.

”That’s the only way to explain it,” Geminia replied.

”So what did you find?” Arabel asked, drawing attention to herself.

”Well, the thing is...” Sierra began to explain with a smile.

Sierra and the others found out that, like the Beasts, some of those who observed the phenomenon were able to awaken an affinity with the element of Darkness.

”What about those who couldn’t awaken this affinity?”

”Apart from the seemingly unobvious enlightenment, they did not receive any other benefit,” Geminia said. ”Only the creature itself knows what benefits it has gained, and not everyone is ready to share this. Therefore, it’s not worth trying to find out everything.”

The others nodded in agreement. After all, the path and requirements for acquiring the form of a Spirit are individual for each being and depend on many factors.

Arabel nodded.

”Little sister,” — Sierra said with a smile, and without hiding her joy, she added: ”There are two people close to you and Idan who have awakened an affinity with the element of Darkness.”

”What? Who?” exclaimed Arabel, surprised. She was sure that there were no other awakened ones among her and Idan’s loved ones besides Arslan and Irene. They were all ordinary people.

”Your mother and Ivette, Irene’s mother,” Sierra replied.

Arabel froze, her eyes wide. Awakening affinity meant that they had probably become bronze-ranked beings.

The first thought that came to her mind was how sorry she was for her father. Lately, he had been having a hard time enduring her mother’s nocturnal attacks. Now that Anna had become a bronze-ranked being, Arabel was sure that she would torture Robert to death.
