Chapter 617: Well, it was fun, but it’s time to end this

Arabel, racing at full speed, wanted to transform into a Valkyrie, but restrained herself, realizing the danger this could bring to her and Idan. She realized how much she was used to her Valkyrie bloodline and that she needed an alternative in such situations.

She could clearly hear the sound of battle behind her. As much as she wanted to turn around and see how Idan was doing, she couldn’t afford it. It also depended on her how long Idan could hold out. After all, he was buying this time for her, and Arabel wasn’t going to waste it.

Arabel raced forward without thinking about the direction. She only wanted to be as far away from the place where the battle was taking place as possible.

The more she moved away, the quieter the battle behind her became. However, her instincts told her that someone was watching her. Therefore, she did not stop, continuing to run.

Only when this strange feeling that she was being watched disappeared, Arabel ran a little more, stopped, discovered a cliff and jumped down, where she found a small natural depression.

Having created three different barriers around herself — from her Soul Force, the element of Water and Darkness — Arabel opened an Access portal. Without delay, she threw Nemo and an unknown girl inside, who had been unconscious all this time.

As soon as they disappeared inside, Arabel closed the portal. However, before she left, she noticed a slight spatial distortion at the place where she had just opened the Access portal.

Arabel had never seen anything like it before. But she soon realized that she was seeing it all thanks to her new ability, “Spatial Perception.”

“That’s it!” exclaimed Arabel. “It must have been that time when we hid inside our storage, the Queen also found such a spatial trace of the Access Door opening and was able to open the rift and get inside.”

Looking at the spatial distortion, Arabel realized that it was necessary to find a way to get rid of it or disguise it so that in the future no one could enter their Kingdom through the gap.

Suddenly, an idea came to her. Her modest knowledge of the elements of space could be the key to solving the problem. She created a small ball of darkness, adding some space energy to it, and threw it at the distortion.

As soon as the sphere touched him, the energy of space in it activated, and the ball exploded.

Arabel anxiously watched the changes, fearing that it might reopen the rift, but fortunately, this did not happen.

Instead, the explosion of the element of darkness combined with the energy of space successfully dispersed the spatial distortion.

“Yes!” Arabel was very happy that she had made the right decision to form her First Constellation. This decision provided her with invaluable assistance during this rescue operation.

Having dealt with the situation, Arabel broke into a run, moving away from this place. At the same time, she sent Idan a message through the Lovers’ Plate.:

{MBG: Nemo and the girl are safe, we’re ready}

Idan was smiling slightly crazily at the Ice Valkyrie, from whom he had just torn off two of her wings. She was writhing in pain and could no longer fully participate in the battle.

Looking at the remaining two snow-white wings, which were stained with blood gushing from the open wounds of the severed wings, Idan wanted to tear them off as well. However, he could hardly contain these crazy thoughts.

Feeling that if he continued to hold this Valkyrie, he would not be able to restrain himself and snatch her remaining wings, Idan decided to let her go. At the same time, he pulled out her high-quality spear from his chest and put it into the spatial ring.

His wound began to heal quickly, but because of this, the consumption of the energy source increased even more.

“I don’t have much time,” he said with a grin.

The Valkyries, who had previously been afraid of harming one of their sisters, immediately moved as soon as Idan released her.

With the loss of one of the Valkyries, the Soul Force pressure exerted on Idan weakened, giving him back his speed advantage.

His wings transformed into ten golden blades with a pinkish glow.

Controlling them, Idan simultaneously began to reflect the various attacks of the Valkyries and strike back.

Sharp ice spears, ice chains, slowing ice mist, ice swords, ice shields for protection, and ice walls flashed in the air.

The Valkyries used their spells one after the other while engaging in close combat.

At first, Idan successfully resisted the Valkyries, but soon his strength began to run out.

During the battle, he drew attention to the effects that their confrontation had on the environment. The attacks of Idan and the Valkyries completely changed the landscape in a short time: part of the forest was uprooted, another was engulfed in flames, and part was covered with ice.

Each of their collisions shook the ground, and when one of their attacks missed, it completely changed the landscape of the place where it fell.

This was a completely different level of battle, not comparable to what he had seen during the battle to defend the city in the North.

The attacks of the Valkyries began to overcome his defenses, and Idan began to get injured.

When he once again tried to deflect the ice blade, it exploded, turning into small ice fragments that almost pierced through his body.

One of the fragments hit him in the right eye, knocking it out.

“Damn it!” — Idan cursed, realizing that his wound healing ability had begun to lag behind the amount of damage he was dealing due to the decrease in the source he was receiving.

The Valkyries noticed this, and their morale increased significantly.

Watching as the Valkyries relaxed their guard slightly, confident of an early victory, Idan decided to take advantage of this opportunity. He ignored the attacks of the Valkyries and tried to grab one of the nearby ice Valkyries to use it as a shield.

“No way! Stop him!” shouted the Fire Valkyrie, who had been directing the actions of her companions all this time. She noticed Idan’s desperate maneuver at the last moment.

When Idan, having received several serious wounds, reached one of the Valkyries and, to everyone’s surprise, tried to grab her wings again. But just as Idan was about to grab her, a bright flash flashed before his eyes, followed by a rumble of thunder.

After the flash faded, Idan was amazed to find that his hand, which had almost touched the Valkyrie’s wings, had disappeared.

“Well, it was fun, but it’s time to end this,” said an unfamiliar female voice to Idan’s right.

Turning around, he saw a completely different Valkyrie in front of him.

This new Valkyrie had long purple hair and matching eyes. On her back, she did not have four massive wings, but as many as six, woven from a multitude of sparkling lightning.

“Lightning Valkyrie,” Idan immediately thought of, and only then did he realize that this was not just a Diamond—ranked Valkyrie, but a Valkyrie of the Highest Realm.
