Chapter 618: What’s so funny?

There were no mistakes, the newly appeared Valkyrie was at least of the sixth rank.

She was wearing an elegant black leather armor with exquisite patterns, which immediately attracted attention. It was obvious that this was an unusual armor created by a real craftsman.

In some ways, this armor reminded Idan of the one Sierra had worn during their first meeting.

Idan thought that most likely, the armor of Sierra and this Valkyrie were created by the same master.

In her hands, Valkyrie held Idan’s severed arm.

She looked into his eyes, smiled, and ostentatiously squeezed his hand. Lightning sparks appeared on his hands, and right in front of his eyes, his severed fiery arm crumbled into pieces under the impact of the lightning bolts.

Idan watched in disbelief as his hand disappeared, when suddenly he received the long-awaited notification and couldn’t help but smile. Even without opening or reading the message, he already knew that Arabel had done it and was now ready.

“Finally! Belle, I love you,” he thought and almost burst into tears. Idan was clearly aware that he was not yet ready to face a creature of the sixth rank or higher.

Valkyrie, noticing the smile on Idan’s face, suspected something. She instantly disappeared from her place and, without giving him time to recover, appeared in front of him, grabbing him by the throat.

“What’s so funny?” she asked, squeezing his throat.

She, like the rest of the Valkyries, was furious at Idan for his actions. He defiantly tore off her younger sister’s wings and tried to do it again, which forced her to intervene.

In addition, the girl who was with him and had previously escaped with their two targets had disappeared from her sight, and she had lost sight of her. And it was all the fault of this guy, who in his Spirit Form was a danger to her younger sisters.

But the most annoying thing was that after the runaway girl disappeared from sight, she could still track the direction of their movement, but soon lost that too. It was as if the two she was watching had disappeared into thin air.

Due to all this, her mood couldn’t be worse.

And now, besides, this young man, instead of feeling fear and despair at being in her power, was smiling at her as if mocking her.

Idan didn’t stop smiling. He couldn’t figure out what this new Valkyrie was thinking, but he was glad that he had been able to buy Arabel enough time. Besides, he didn’t notice any restrictions around him.

The only thing that bothered him was that even though he had received an unread message notification from Arabel, Idan couldn’t feel his ring. The hand on which he wore the ring was cut off, and the ring was not on it when the Valkyrie vaporized his hand.

Without his ring, Idan could neither gain access to the Kingdom nor send messages to Arabel.

There was still an ordinary spatial ring on his left hand, but the main ring itself was missing. Although he received an unread message after his arm was cut off.

The Valkyrie, annoyed by his smile and getting no response, used her lightning power on Idan. The smile immediately disappeared from his face, and Idan clenched his teeth and convulsed from the lightning bolt.

He could no longer maintain his Spirit Form and returned to the form of an Alpha of Fire. The pinkish glow and golden flames disappeared, and his body returned to its normal appearance. However, due to the lack of an energy source, not all of his wounds had been healed, and now that his Spirit Form had been cancelled, Idan felt unbearable pain.

“Aaaaaaa,” he screamed, full of pain. Red blood gushed from Idan’s wounds.

Even his right eye hadn’t fully recovered, as had his right arm, which was missing, and it was of these that the blood flow was the strongest.

Valkyrie, watching Idan’s suffering, couldn’t help but smile with satisfaction. His screams sounded like music to her ears.

However, her younger sisters who fought against Idan did not share her joy. Even though they were against him, there was some respect in their hearts. After all, not everyone can take the Spirit Form and fight alone against a well-coordinated group of Valkyries, while not having such a high rank as theirs.

“Why is that?” Idan asked through the pain. “Aren’t… beings… of the higher realm forbidden… to interfere… in the affairs of the lower realm…”

Idan’s words struck a chord with Valkyrie. He was right: her interference was already a violation of the rules of the world.

“So what?” she said, squeezing Idan’s throat as if she wanted to kill him.

But Idan just smiled back.

“See you later… evil beauty…” he said, and to Valkyrie’s surprise, he disappeared. Valkyrie grabbed the air instead of his throat.

In place of the guy, an angry girl with pink hair and a crazy smile appeared on her face.

“Boo!” she exclaimed, and an explosion thundered in front of the Valkyrie, from which she could not fully defend herself.

The explosion was so strong that Valkyrie was thrown far back.

Two of her six wings, which she used for protection, were badly damaged, as was part of the armor. Numerous superficial wounds appeared on her body, which began to bleed.

Although all of her injuries, except for her wings, were only superficial, Valkyrie was very angry.

She realized that the guy had managed to escape her grasp and even managed to humiliate her in this way.

There was no limit to her anger.

She couldn’t complete the task given to her, violated the rules of the Higher Realm to help her younger sisters, and ended up missing a guy who took on the Spirit Form and not only eluded her, but also dared to humiliate her.

Under her anger, dark clouds began to cover the sky, and lightning began to strike one after another, rumbling as if expressing her rage.

Shortly before that, Arabel, having moved to a safe distance from the place where she sent Nemo and the stranger to the Kingdom, having not received news from Idan, began to worry.

She called Bera, and she, already knowing about her mistress’ plan, was ready. However, before using the unique “swap” ability, Bera began to squeeze a huge amount of Madness Energy into her hands in the form of a sphere, trying to contain as much as possible.

Seeing this, Arabel joined her as well, giving her all her mana and reserves of Madness Energy. As a result of their combined efforts, a powerful energy magic bomb was created in a matter of seconds.

Without waiting for Idan’s command, Bera disappeared, and in her place appeared Idan, who was smiling but at the same time writhing in pain.

Arabel, seeing him in this state, quickly caught him and opened an Access Portal. Not forgetting to summon Bera back to her Star, Arabel created a small sphere of darkness, adding the element of space to it. Then she threw the sphere up and dived into the Access Portal.

As soon as Arabel with Idan disappeared, the portal slammed shut, and a sphere of darkness fell in its place. It exploded, erasing the spatial distortion through which other powerful beings could enter their Kingdom.
