CEO's Reborn Wife

”I only noticed this matter because I heard that singer say Lancaster’s wood business had also contacted you, and in the end, they considered between you and her.”

”She said that Lancaster’s wood business ultimately felt she was more suitable for their requirements, so they signed her as the spokesperson.”

Sometimes the circle is just this small. Amber Edwards is a huge fan of Jane Sampson, and Mair Williams is Jane’s best friend, so Amber and Mair are twitter friends. Amber said she wanted to recommend the spokesperson for Lancaster’s wood business to Jane, and Mair heard Amber mention it.

”Amber probably doesn’t know about this yet, so she hasn’t told you. Otherwise, with Amber’s temperament, knowing this endorsement was taken away by someone else, she would probably tell you,” Mair said. ”So, in this case, it should be a problem on Lancaster’s part.”

”Lancaster’s approach is quite hard to figure out,” Jane Sampson said. ”When Amber came to my studio to see me, she brought the contract with her. At that time, if I had just signed that contract, it would have taken effect. Lancaster gave Amber significant authority, and the contract was stamped by Lancaster’s president.”

Therefore, that contract meant Lancaster directly handed Amber the rights to negotiate the endorsement with her.

But later, Jane Sampson raised quite a few conditions, and Amber didn’t have the authority to modify the contract or agree to it directly, so she took the contract back, saying she needed to discuss it with Lancaster to give her a reply.

Such a significant matter would typically require meetings and decision-making among the various departments and management levels in their company, so Jane Sampson thought that, under normal circumstances, Amber wouldn’t give her an immediate result this quickly.

It was just unexpected that Amber hadn’t told her about the change in the spokesperson. Instead, she heard about it from Mair first.

So, Jane Sampson said that Lancaster’s actions this time are a bit hard to fathom.

”I don’t know who this time’s person in charge of finalizing the spokesperson for Lancaster’s wood business is. I heard the daughter of Lancaster’s Chairman is going to marry Amber’s brother? Before, with the contract held by Amber, it implied that someone at Lancaster’s had given Amber authority in this matter, and then such a result appeared, which means someone at Lancaster’s directly offended the Chairman’s future son-in-law’s sister.”

After hearing what Jane Sampson said, Mair Williams laughed, ”Is the brain damaged by a cannon? With Amber’s temper, can she let this go? It’s impossible. Doesn’t this mean putting Lancaster’s Chairman’s daughter in a difficult position between her family business and her future sister-in-law?”

A puzzling operation, no one can understand.

Amber had just taken the unsigned contract back, which meant that soon after, the endorsement contract swiftly fell into another person’s hands and got signed.

”It doesn’t matter; this endorsement was something I could take or leave anyway.” Jane Sampson couldn’t even be bothered to get angry and just laughed it off.

The money matters aren’t worth her anger.

As for Lancaster’s wood business, Jane thought maybe someone from there would call her to explain personally.

Or she might receive an angry call from Amber apologizing and complaining.

But in any case, Lancaster’s wood business is definitely on her blacklist for future cooperation.

Even if Amber got back to her after a few days and told her Lancaster’s decided to find another spokesperson after discussions, it would be better than finding out about it like this now.
